Actually, he’s not wrong. For Black women, a period is called such because it should LITERALLY appear to be a drop of blood, hence a PERIOD. Heavy blood flow is caused from hemorrhaging in the system, which isn’t natural. That’s why it hurts, as I would imagine. It really does involve diet.

First of all, menstruation is called a period bc it’s periodic (happens at regular intervals) not bc it’s supposed to be just ONE drop of blood.

Heavy flows are caused for a number of reasons such as, fibroids, hormonal imbalance or endometriosis. It has nothing to do with diet and If women were regularly hemorrhaging, they probably wouldn’t even be alive.
