Joel and Etho making the exact same mistake by placing down the tripwire hook in Cubās labyrinth really proves why they were such a great partnership. They both share a braincell. I love these silly minecraft dudes.

One awesome thing about being a Star Trek fan is that because itās old and culturally important/popular itās constantly referenced in other forms of media and it makes me so so happy to spot these references whether they are subtle or not. Itās got me grinning from ear to ear that I can link these things together.
Back on to complain.
Watched the kelvin timeline/aos/2009/JJ Abrahams movies recently. I enjoyed them (not as much as the tos movies but thatās because they are my babies). However, the scene where little Spock is getting picked on and then punched in the face by the other vulcan child really pisses me off. Why? Well he started bleeding green from his very clearly pink/red lips. WHY COULDNāT THEY HAVE PUT EVEN A LITTLE BIT OF MAKEUP ON THE VULCANS?? (Obviously they probably are wearing makeup just not the right stuff but that just makes it worse so Iām ignoring it) I donāt want them to be like bright green or anything but their blood is copper based and is meant to be green. NONE OF THESE VULCANS SHOULD LOOK EVEN REMOTELY PINK TINGED. If they can smear Data silver in the 1990s and put makeup on the tos vulcans (not to mention Keenser who is literally in the same movies), why couldnāt they do it in 2009? Why are my vulcans even a little bit pink??? Their blood isnāt red at all man. Like was this meant to make them seem more attractive or some shit? It feels weird to me and makes the vulcans feel less interesting. This isnāt even mentioning the fact that the vulcans seem a lot less controlled. The vulcans are meant to be a cool society of people heavily different but no less interesting than us. Why are we making them seem more human?
Sometimes, as a Brit, Star trek really catches me off guard with its Americanness. Like Iāll be sitting there watching it and theyāll mention they use Fahrenheit and Iām pretty sure we have a world government at this point (cause all of the other planets have world governments not individual country ones so even if itās not explicitly mentioned Iām pretty sure the Earth will also have a world gov) so surely theyād use Celsius instead (or an entirely new made up temperature scale) as the majority of countries in the world use Celsius so wouldnāt that make more sense? Also in the Final Frontier they mention that Columbus discovered the world was round but idk if thatās an American thing or an 80s thing cause man the greeks discovered it way before him. I get that it was made in America so this is to be expected but man why was this one of the things they chose to keep?
This doesnāt stop me from absolutely adoring this series but it always makes me pause lmao.
Idk how else to express this experience other than through greentext
>reading spirk fanfiction
>jims hair is described as blond
>confusion
>his eyes are also blue
>sighs
>scroll up to the tags
>tagged as AOS
>shakes my head
>click out
>fooled yet again
I mean, it's really my own fault for not filtering out the tags, but it still feels like when a bug falls for pattern mimicry and then gets eaten by an orchid mantis.
I love how Ariana Griande has her own fanbase still despite her only appearing in season 6 very briefly. Thats so awesome. Also Grian on stream (not his and I cannot remember whose for the life of me) saying Ariana Griande is a funny joke when somebody mentioned it like he didnāt create it is so funny to me, while also being like holy shit ive been watching hermitcraft for awhile now if heās forgotten.
My sibling and I are smart on our own but put us together and we're the dumbest people alive.
Indeed we are idoits. lol mag o
I must be a fake star trek fan cause why did I only now realise that āpig me up Scottyā was a Star Trek reference. Usually I go ballistic when a hermit makes a star trek reference or talks about it but this one went completely over my head lmao.
I go feral everytime Iām allowed to talk about whatever Iām obsessed with at the current time (rn itās star trek and hermitcraft) to the point I cannot articulate myself properly and basically just end up at āI LOVE THIS SO MUCH, LOVE IT TOO PLS PLS PLS.ā The serotonin that floods my brain is so powerful I actually malfunction.
I love my sibling so much for putting up with me man (Also discovered they arenāt constantly consumed by thoughts of star trek like I am, actually devastated)
Iāve noticed a pattern with Skizz in Guess the Build: EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING becomes a drink.
Pizza? Drink.
Baseball? Drink.
Anything? Probably a drink.
Skizz i gotta ask, are you okay man??
Also guess the build brings me so much joy itās actually insane.
I swear Spock says some unhinged stuff especially out of context:
āYou should make a very convincing Naziā (Patterns of Force s2e21)
āI too, felt a brief surge of racial bigotryā (Day of the Dove s3e7)
Like okay?? Thatās actually insane
If I could make one tiny insignificant change to star trek tos, I would, without a doubt, give my boy Sulu a steering wheel. I mean heād go insane with one. Heās already crazy on tilting the buttons. Heād be fucking unstoppable with a steering wheel. Also I think it would just be so so awesome.
Like āevasive manoeuvres Mr Suluā
And he just goes absolutely bonkers avoiding phaser blasts and the like.
Star Trek tos characters as pets:
Kirk - golden retriever
Spock - black cat
Bones - snapping turtle
Uhura - songbird
Sulu - snake
Chekov - racoon
Scotty - parrot
Shower thought:
Kirk and Spock share a soul
Spock and Bones share a mind
Kirk and Bones share a heart
Bones is a massive pessimist but thatās okay because he has Spirk to make him look at the bright-side (his soul)
Kirk is impulsive and sometimes doesnāt think things through but thatās okay because he has Spones by his side to talk sense into him (his mind)
Spock canāt handle emotions but thatās okay because he has McKirk to encourage and reassure him (his heart)
They all complete eachother <3
I love these silly little gays so much
The power rangers should genderswap their outfits. The girls donāt need the skirts but oh man do the boys need them. Besides it would look fucking awesome, who gives a shit about gender expectations.
Crazy opinion!? I think not.
Twitch ads are fucking insane, why are u trying to make me watch SEVEN ads in a row??? Absolutely not man
Random Star Trek thought; Spock should be sterile right? I mean itās like heavily emphasised that he is a hybrid and as heās half human heād be a mammal hybrid and since heās male itās likely that heād be unable to reproduce.(Like mules or male ligers)
Idk itās just a recurring thought iāve had and Iām no biologist so maybe my science is off but I thought it was kinda interesting since the whole Spock - Saavik kid thing. Ofc Star Trek is set in the future so this doesnāt matter too much since science is always expanding and there could be a cure to infertility or something? Sorry this is kind of rambly and hard to read
