I'm trying to catch up on campaign 2. And I was watching homeward bound on and off today. And I was watching other things and o can't find it again. It's not on my history. It doesn't come up when I search it. It's almost like it's been removed. Anyone know what's up?

I'm pointing out what I saw as a flaw in the op's post. A disagreement I had. I value fanfiction mostly because it was my first exposure certain things and allowed me to explore my sexuality, my identity, my beliefs, values, and more.

It was one of the only places I could access LGBT stories.

I'm sorry that's something op and their very loyal followers feel the need to ridicule.

listen there is dark media that i genuinely love, that is psychologically fascinating and fucked up and thrilling, that pushes boundaries and makes you ask questions, but there is a big, big, big difference between that and between people writing and getting off to rape, child porn, incest, or abuse. dark media =/= getting off to sexual violence. if you can’t tell the difference between the two, or collapse the two, you’re an idiot. no one has a problem with dark or psychological media - people who talk about fucked up fanworks are specifically focusing on rampant and violent racial fetishization, or sexualization and glorification of pedophilia or rape or incest (and turning those things into kinks and ignoring the effects sexual violence has on real people in real life).

Especially with Umbrella Academy. Incest one of the major taboos across cultures and history because of the whole genetically fucked up babies thing. Which obviously isn't a concern with adopted siblings. And more recently we get into reasons like uneven power dynamics and causing chaos within the family. Which I'm not too worried about either, considering the family is already super dysfunctional. I don't think it's gonna make anything worse.

The Umbrella Academy is a really interesting case studying the truly damaging effects of isolationism and ostracization. There are the most obvious cases of Five and Vanya and even Klaus. But, every single one of them shares the shame underlying trauma which manifests differently.
