Planning of Body Paragraph 1

1.    Global peace can be attained with world political stability and wealth sharing between nations, instead of using nuclear weapon as threat. Such threats, rather, stimulates countries to prepare itself to stand out in nuclear war takes place. For example, according to a fact, Middle East is accumulating nuclear power resources and this news is spreading a sentiment of fear across the world.

2.    In addition, it’s an expensive fossil as it requires extremely safe warehouses for storage, possibly underground.

 Planning of Body Paragraph 2

1.    Further, nuclear energy is believed to be the cleanest, however, its safe disposal is still a critical question. The radioactive property of nuclear power is destructive not only for environment, but for life on earth as well. To illustrate, even a petite leakage of nuclear material can initiate chain of nuclear reaction which is strenuous to control or cease totally.

2.    In contrast, eco-friendly energy resources such as solar or hydro seems sustainable.

 Conclusion

·   To conclude, I disagree that the benefits of nuclear technology far outweigh the disadvantages.

·   Environment friendly resources are better alternative.

Today’s IELTS Writing Task2 Question

Some people think it is good to raise children in a city. Others argue that it is better for children to grow up in the countryside. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Plan for Body Paragraph 1 -  In favour of bringing up children in city     

i)       Complete as well as superior education because multiple and better academic institutes are established in cities in comparison to the countryside. For example, more than one school can be easily found within the radius of 5 kilometres inside the city.

ii)      Apart from school, professional sports coaching along with suitable facilities is conveniently available in cities.

Plan for Body Paragraph 2 -  Against bringing up children in countryside

(Paragraph for one side agreement favouring raising a child in a city)

i)        Appropriate medical facilities in the countryside are either missing or substandard. All major hospitals are located in the city. The condition becomes horrendous if a child slips into the situation where urgent medical attention if needed.

ii)       Also, dearth of required transport makes access to school difficult. For instance, frequency of buses under public transport is extremely low in contrast to the public transport within cities.

Plan for Body Paragraph 2 -  In favour of bringing up children in countryside 

(Paragraph for partial agreement favouring raising a child in a countryside)

i)        More social interaction. Unlike, city dwellers, countryside residents have ample time for social gatherings, which leads to desirable growth of the child in a social set-up.

ii)       Clean environment, less pollution. For instance, owing to fewer commercial activities and reduced traffic, dissimilar to cities, the pollution level is tremendously low which is favourable for child’s healthy development.

Conclusion 1 (favouring raising a child in a city in both the paragraphs, i.e. One side agreement)

To conclude, in my opinion, life in a metropolis is much more convenient in terms of availability of better facilities such as education, medical centres or sports coaching. A child can easily pursue his goals with accessibility to plethora of such amenities.

Conclusion 2 (For Partial agreement)

In conclusion, although, a metropolis offers exceeding facilities that makes life convenient, however, it deprives a child of clean environment and much needed desirable social surroundings. In my opinion, skills related to sport and academics can be acquired only when a child grows in healthy social environment. A healthy mind has transcending abilities.

Ideas for IELTS writing task 2

The aim of this blog is to help IELTS aspirants in brainstorming on IELTS writing task questions. I have, personally, overcome this obstacle but took really long time to develop intense understanding. Thus, in order to save others’ time, I have decided to present this blog. I hope, the reader would be benefited.

Today’s Question (Asked in exam held on 25.07.2020)

In many parts of the countries, shopping is no longer a way to buy things that you really need. It has developed into a means of entertainment. Why do you think it is? Do you think it is a positive of negative comment?

Plan for Body Paragraph 1 -              

i)       Increased purchasing power of people. Example, all members of families, including females, are earning now. Thus, rise in household income.   

ii)      Psychological factor related to shopping. Stress buster. Provides contentment based on ability to spend.      

Body Paragraph 2 - Either negative or positive

Plan for Body Paragraph 2 (negative) -

i)       Excessive consumerism. Only manufacturers are benefited. Resources are overburdened. Example, electricity is consumed imprudently to meet the augmented demand.

ii)      Increased waste/ scrap production.

Plan for Body Paragraph 2 (positive) -       

i)       Monetary injections in the economy, due to soared spending on goods and services. Ultimately, expands economic base and boosts economic growth. 

ii)      Psychological factor related to shopping. Social status maintenance. Example, according to a research, people feel confident when they wear new expensive clothes.
