— ✿ The meeting seemed unnecessary to the girl. But of course what did she know ?? Maybe these people just really liked having meetings over small things — she WAS something minor, wasn’t she ?? Either way, the girl sat neatly in a chair, hands folded in her lap and looking to Scarlet patiently as he spoke to the others.
It seemed as if the others weren’t FOND of the idea of her staying with Scarlet on account of the fact he didn’t have a proper DON, and that the TWINS were … The twins. She’d met them. She understood. Regardless, Linkel stayed not because she literally had about no choice, but she enjoyed being around Scarlet, as he was one of the only people she actually KNEW, despite it only having been a day. Maybe the gun just put her at ease. ( Or the fact he was probably the only person shorter than her. )
Cyan eyes trailed down to her lap. There were times throughout this brief meeting in which she could feel eyes on her; of course that couldn’t be blamed, really, it was ABOUT her, and she was some new girl they’ve never seen. Understandable. Nevertheless it flustered her. Looking up as Scarlet dismissed the meeting, the blonde grinned, her freckled cheeks lifting. She wasn’t particularly relieved that the meeting was over, or anything, just relieved all eyes weren’t on her as if she were some sort of a t t r a c t i o n .
With a bounce of her hair and her dress, the girl stood up, rocking on her heels as she awaited orders from Scarlet. Upon looking around, she found that someone had called to her; by an odd name, at that. The man sitting, who’s name she forgot ( or maybe never learned, she hadn’t paid Scarlet all THAT much attention ) was beckoning her over with the curl of his finger. Obviously, she obeyed, walking over calmly and casually.
“ Oh, I’m real sorry !! ” The blonde gasped, nodding her head slightly. “ I ain’t goin’ ta leave till ya do, then !! ” She was innocent, that was for sure. She still didn’t quite GRASP the idea of mafia, and the negatives to it. Only because she hasn’t seen conflict yet, so she assumed just talking to other famiglia leaders was fine. It was Sunday, wasn’t it ?? That part she knew.
She seemed like a sweet thing, too! Didn’t seem to come over out of obligation, and that was always refreshing. As she approached, you had even pulled yourself out of the chair and met her partway. A friendly smile took place of your previous one. You could only hope she wasn’t put off from your fangs... Did those take away from your warm disposition? You hoped not.
“Don’t apologize, Linkel. I know it must be incredibly overwhelming meeting all of us so abruptly.”
You offered out a hand for her.
“Caramia, at your service. I’m the don of Oz territory. I look forward to getting to know you.”
You’d probably get scolded for this later, but it wasn’t uncommon for you to try and get on some kind of positive terms with someone of another family. And she technically didn’t even belong anywhere yet. For what it was worth, you could even be making an ally here! ...Was your excuse, anyway. Really, you just wanted the chance to talk to such a charming miss.
She smelled of flowers, strong enough that it masked the usual smell of gunpowder and cobblestone. Or, maybe it was just a new smell, and that’s why it stood out to you? Also quite likely, but you were fond of it, whatever the case was. Flowers were much better than those other bland things, though, weren’t they? You thought so.
