The Doctor was used to people leaving. Hell, you had to be, in his line of... work. As time went on, as people left, as he grew, the Doctor just stopped caring. So what if someone left? That's what people did, right? He wouldn't cry about it. Not like it upset him.                                                       ~

The Doctor didn't know why, but he was running. He was in his TARDIS, and he was running from time. He just had to go somewhere, sometime when he had his companion. They weren't gone forever, were they? Couldn't he just break a rule, just this once? The Doctor opened the TARDIS doors and stepped out into the world. He paused just moments later, a look of shock on his face.

"It's you."
