voice of treason

“Yes, it really is the best,” the President says, pulling his phone out of his pocket. He checks his email and remembers why he’d even come into this godsforsaken office in the first place.
“Oh. Right. Tuesti, some people are saying that you’re formulating some kind of plan for the grounders. For the slums, or whatever. Heidegger told me about it. Why haven’t you mentioned it to me yet? You need my approval to do this shit, you know.”
Heidegger.
The bastard.
“It’s only in the drafting stages, sir,” Reeve said smoothly. “I wanted to make sure it was all ready for you to look over before I brought it to you for approval, along with the latest expansion for the Neo-Midgar project…”
A quick check; Cait Sith was more than willing to sneak to Heidegger’s office and move everything inside two inches to the right.
Ah, yes. Neo-Midgar. Now there was a subject worth talking about.
“Speaking of, Reeve, there’s something I wanted to discuss with you. The last set of projections I got from you were...well. They were a little underwhelming, if I’m being honest. I was hoping that you would take these plans for Neo-Midgar more seriously.”
Reeve had planned out the entirety of this grand city that The Shinra Company has built, in addition to the reactors, and it was no secret that he was an incredibly smart man. But he was just completely and utterly shitting the bed with this newest project, and Ronald was determined to get tot he bottom of it.
