The inexorable cold which swept across the nation on the dreadful night served nothing more than a disturbance, where the breeze pierced through the veins of nightwalkers, leaving them momentarily paralyzed. The contrast in temperature during day and night didn’t help the ill female either, only worsening as she took a step out of her house to grab some medicine that she ran out of at a nearby twenty four hours pharmacy. Her fragile frame was wrapped in thick wool clothing and coats, and her footsteps were hurried yet reluctant, slightly regretful to be out by herself after experiencing the cold and acknowledging how remote the residential area was at night. It was inevitable, to be feeling a sense of fear at that rare sight.
It hadn’t been long since Jieun found herself strolling around the pharmacy as an opportunity to hibernate from the cold, and before she knew she was then back on the streets. A relief, she mused in silence, that the merciless breeze must have went to the other direction. Taking a step at a time, her eyes were fixated on the pale moon hanging in the dark sky, dimly conscious that she was rarely in the present moment at that point of time. Drifting in and out of her reflections of the day, she hadn’t notice that she had turned off and wandered off to a road that was foreign to her, until the sound where a gush of wind meets the plastic bag of a stranger behind her was audible. Qualms and apprehension was building up inside her as she payed attention to the hustling footsteps that was approaching, attempting to bury the curiosity that made her wanted to take a glance behind. Scurrying without second thoughts, she passed several dimly lit lamp posts to arrive at a dead end, before navigating herself to the north-east direction where her eyes previously landed on a shadow casted at the edge of a wall. It was an instinctive move, and as much as it was ostensible for her to fear someone who was probably just a mere stranger, scenarios of previous stalker encounters she had at the peak of her career flashed into mind, letting the once felt anxiety take over.
Taking brief quick glances towards the side without exposing her face to the “stalker”, she picked up her pace and went towards the shadow, only to be greeted by a man in full black, where his back was the only thing visible at a distance, her vision muddled by the blending of the dark and the male. Impulsively, she reached out of the male’s frame to tug on his coat, eyes directed to the back still. “Please, help,” A pant and a murmur was all that it takes, to put her in a forthcoming unrest that she was oblivious to at that instant.

This account will be on a semi-hiatus mode from now onwards, as I am getting lesser opportunities to come online here due to workload. That being said, replies definitely will be done, just at a slower rate. To those who I’ve been interacting with, I hope y’all will understand this and thank you in advance if you do! I sincerely hope everyone’s doing well and that 2016 has been great so far. : )

Small talk had never been his forte, quiet among many and loud with his members only. The nervousness blanketing over him is hidden by the usual deadpan expression and collar of his sweater. Despite the numerous times they have performed on stage again as one, the feeling of adrenaline masked the previous year of difficulties and doubts. Language is a barrier to such foreign stages, can his feelings be expressed in both dance and music? It’s a wonder. But for now he’d distract himself with the conversation with his sunbae. His voice raising as he lowered his head down towards her, albeit a bit muffled due to his clothing. “ ah, i think- they went off to either grab the cordi noonas or interview? I don’t know- ” Mirroring her sheepish smile with one of his own though it was covered, unbeknownst to him. “ Do you have to preform soon? ”
The initial sheepish smile morphed into a tender grin, followed by a quiet laughter that was elicited as she directed her eyes down to her foot, whilst shifting herself on the spot. “I see, I just thought that it was rare to see you here, you know, alone.” Pausing for a brief moment, the female gave the male an affirmative nod, before proceeding. “Yeah, I’m the third performer, which is a relief since I’d be able to have some rest before coming out again for the ending stage.” Jieun admitted, still feeling lethargy running through her petite body at that instance where the world seemed to move at such a fast pace. The recent concert tours had been a whole load of fun, but a nap at that point of time would be lovely for her to recuperate into a stable condition. Chiming in to break the momentarily silence between the two of them, she once had a reassuring smile planted on her face. “What about you? I could get you a cup of coffee at the vending machine later, if you’d like to.”

I wanted people to trust me, despite anything they’d heard. And more than that, I wanted them to know me. Not the stuff they thought they knew about me. No, the real me. I wanted them to get past the rumors. To see beyond the relationships I once had, or maybe still had but that they didn’t agree with.

“Ah, you know I was studying piano before but I got so delved in my studies that I asked my mum if I should let off for the mean time. She was mad at me then cause she could see that I enjoy playing it and I have the potential to succeed but I really don’t see myself being a musician. I enjoy playing yes but not in front of a huge crowd I guess.” It was the first time she was open about her life when she was younger and it came so naturally just because she felt comfort when around the girl. “I’ll make sure to listen to it as soon as I receive it from you. Although I’m sure that it’ll be just as beautiful or even better than your previous ones.” Eyes wandering over to where the female’s attention was directed to the small cafeteria they were aiming for in the first place. “Sounds good to me, let’s get going, sweetie.”
She found herself nodding her head affirmatively for a brief moment, fully comprehending how her peer must had felt. “Hm it’s a great thing though to have music as a hobby or simply something you enjoy. After all, music isn’t something to showcase but it’s more like a platform for us to express ourselves, that’s what I think.” Jieun stated with a tender smile planted on her lips the entire time, before reaching out to hook her arms around the female’s lightly, scooting over to open the doors at the same time. “Oh, what type of coffee do you fancy, by the way? Previously on the same site I saw that they serve really great flat white, but I’ve never tried it before.”

His prominent cheeks were already flashing red tint when she looked at Seungyoon closely. He fought the urge to fidget in front of her, even when it was nearly impossible as there were only air and 50 cm width table separated them in safe distance. He watched her writing down her answers and felt excited knowing she checked on options Seungyoon was hoping her to choose. They might be answers out of courtesy so he didn’t want to get over-excited toward it. He bent down to minimize the height difference between himself and the table, checking on his hood to stay on its place. He smirked over her nice words. “You’re really going to come because I asked you to? For real?”
A side of her lips unconsciously twined up as she digested the words that the male had just spoken, her hands sneaking under the album that he owned to grasp a piece of blank paper, handing the black marker to him simultaneously. “Little did you know, that I’ve actually heard a small portion of your programme before while I was on my way back home,” She bit her bottom lips in an attempt to hide her sprouting smile, tugging a strand of her hair behind her ears before continuing. “I’ve heard of your name as well— for all the good reasons, definitely.” Jieun’s eyes were flickering whilst she nodded for a brief moment. “Would you mind leaving your number down, hm? I’ll let my manager find a slot in my schedules, and I’ll get back to you then.”

She was desperately trying to catch her breath as she plopped down belly first onto the couch, chuckles still escaping the girl’s lips as she attempted to regain her composure after being attacked by the older female. Halla was definitely one who was ticklish literally everywhere – definitely one of her weaknesses. After a moment, after given a chance to catch her breath, she finally sat up right as hopped off of the couch, trying to maintain her distance from the other girl. “Unnie, don’t you dare try that again! How dare you use my weakness against me. I’ll get you back, I swear I will!”
With a smug grin planted on her lips, her knees were bent as she held out her hands, fingers moving in a continuous motion that signaled a tickling attack once again. “Luckily, I’m not as ticklish as you,” She hesitated for a moment when the younger one hopped off the couch. And with a squeal, she charged towards to Halla, giving the sides of her waist a slight poke before backing out, taking a few steps back. Echoes of laughter was audible in the enormous living room, where Jieun found herself feeling like a teen all over again– getting chased after, and running away voluntarily, simply out of little things that are worth the fun of.

“I’ve never missed and open goal. Unlike, you know, you, I have skill and talent.” He shrugged his shoulders, “Not everyone has it though it’s easy to make ignorant assumptions. Don’t worry, I understand.” He rubbed his eyes before squishing his cheeks a little before continuing. “What are we suppose to talk about anyway? Besides failure. ‘Cause your failure is pretty interesting to talk about.”
“Well, it’s great that you acknowledged your own skill and talent. But isn’t that itself an ignorant assumption to say, “unlike, you know, you”?” Her eyes were directed towards the male, lips pressed in a thin line before a dry laughter was elicited. “Never mind, one day you’ll understand the meaning behind why mistakes are inevitable, especially if the stage is sort of defined as your workplace— And, aren’t you suppose to get back to your dorm by now?”
“I really like being a singer. I really.. really enjoy singing. I don’t usually say things like this, but… I really like music”.
The slightest of frown was obvious in her expression and she observed the female, taking a deep breath as she leaned back against her chair. “I don’t know if it’s just because I do know you.. but I’d still recognize you even with half of your face covered.” Seolhyun chuckled at the thought before continuing. “You’re pretty well-known, I guess they’d recognize you immediately.. ah. That’s actually a good idea. I’ll buy it for you as a Christmas present, yeah?” She suggests, grinning at her friend.
Eyebrows raised, her bottom lips was jutted out and the sides of it was dipped downwards into a frown, feeling slightly disappointed at her peer’s comment even though it was accurate of her. “You’re right,” She commented after taking her cellphone out to check her reflection, proceeding afterwards. “I guess I need to wrap myself up more, that’d keep me warm at the same time.” With the female’s sudden suggestion, she couldn’t help but to break into a cheeky smile, “Do you perhaps own a bank, or something?” She joked, releasing a brief chuckle afterwards. It wasn’t the first time Seolhyun had requested to purchase something for her as a gift, and though she was genuinely grateful for that, she felt that returning the flavour would be nice at that moment. “It’s so nice of you, but this time round, let me buy it, hm? Let’s get a matching beanie and wear it well this winter!”
She responds with a soft hum at the younger’s words. Her mother had the same thoughts when she was younger. Although Terra had been excelling in her Math classes, she had pursued on her artistic skills instead. “It’s not too late to explore on those things that you’ve took interest in before. I’m still learning piano now on my spare time cause a friend from the music department offered to give me lessons. Just because you’ve gained a lot from one thing doesn’t mean you have to give up the other things you love!” It felt like she was talking to a younger version of herself and seeing she knew Jieun was a talented girl, a little push from people would benefit her. “That would be lovely coming from you and I’d treasure that album for all my life.” It was in moments like these that she appreciates spending time with the girl and she was glad this day was a day spent with a smile on both their faces.
“You’ve got a point, I totally agree on that. And it’s great that you’re learning piano right now! I’m sure you’ll benefit from it, since classical music does boost your creativity.” The initial apprehensive smile morphed into an optimistic one, feeling grateful towards her peer for sharing her own experience, which served as a source of motivation and inspiration from her. She had indeed learned a lot through this period of time where she befriended the female, be it in terms of how to balance both work and friends or developing a sense of self-care. “Be sure to tell me your opinions about the album after giving it a listen, hm?” She responded briefly before her eyes landed on the signboard of the cafeteria right in front of them, as she tilted her head slightly as a signal to the other. “Let’s go, shall we? Would really love some coffee with the dessert right now.”
