I want to be a house un-flipper. I want to buy expensive houses and make them look so shitty it devalues the entire neighbourhood
I did this. I wouldnt call it making it shitty, but some people have scoffed and said I “Redneck’ified” the neighborhood. I moved to a suburb in 2009, it’s not HOA thankfully but older people acted like it was. I got cops called on me for my lawn being too tall the week I moved in, like 8 inches and such and they continued to do this often for my grass and my dogs being “too stinky and an eye sore to their view”
I have asthma and can’t use a push mower. I don’t own a riding mower. I can’t mow my lawn timely. I’m also not gonna pay a company to mow here 2x a week. I have a relative mow the front portion of my yard a few times a summer and we call it good. I then rewilded the property so the native plants manage themselves, my backyard is a meadow now. I have lots of trees.
People stopped fussing about the lawn eventually and these old huffy folks eventually moved away. I got chickens, turkeys, quail, rabbits in the meantime. My place is a hobby farm. I planted crops and gardens. My yard isn’t immaculate but it’s okay. I have corn and watermelons growing in my front lawn.
From then on, a neighbor turned a spare acreage across the street into pasture and got a pair of donkeys. A herd of feral guineas roams the whole neighborhood. I’m the poultry lady here. A guy talked to me about turning his property for pigs recently. Someone on another street turned extra lots they bought into a meadow for their herd of goats right in the middle of the suburb. On the other side of the neighborhood someone has horses in a nice big field. At the road entrance to the neighborhood, the first house you see is another hobby farm of a couple dogs, a 4 wheeler, some really happy kids and chickens. And their house is really beautiful too.
All of this because I stopped mowing my lawn regularly when I moved in.
It’s truly a thing of beauty and the homes are getting more affordable! Because someone in a local fb group complained a few months ago about it “I can’t sell a house here for the highest I want to because of all these places here! This used to be a decent neighborhood!”
You don’t have to make things downright shitty. You just have to stop mowing your lawn regularly.
Goals.
louder than bombs deserved better and yall dont deserve that masterpiece

joohoney amazes me and here's why.
first of all, picking such a cute stage name while being a legendary rapper in a group where the concept is 'badass'... iconic.
and not only is his name cute but he's fucking cute. and he thrives off of it. basically the king of aegyo. we know this. and when he does it, it's not even cringe at all. he's just cute. which makes him fucking good at it.
he's got phenomenal vocals on top of being the main rapper. him and changkyun bounce off of each other so well, their chemistry on stage is unmatched.

Be kinder to everyone. You never know what’s going on behind doors. Love your family a little more everyday and spend the most time with your friends because you never know. When there is love there is no darkness. May these angels rest in peace.
Please remember that kpop idols are humans and they go through tribulations. They’re not just machines, every mean word you say about them they hear it one way or another. Treat them with kindness.
All I have to say is that after hearing today's news, please...please take care of your mental health. My heart goes out to his family as well as his second family, ASTRO. I am not familiar with military protocols, but I hope they allow Kim Myungjun to be at the wake. I hope Moon Bin is finally peace after being incredibly strong for so long. I hope he can finally rest...
in light of moonbin's passing- it's okay if you distract yourself. it's okay if for awhile you just pretend like it didn't or isn't happening. you're not a bad person if you laugh at something else after hearing the news or smile or feel other feelings.
at the same time if you feel like you're wallowing in grief, that's okay too. it's a complicated process. it's hard to understand. all i know is that he'll be missed a lot.
someone in a discord I'm in said something along the same lines, and I wholeheartedly agree.
the saddest thing about this is that moonbin will just become another statistic. in a few months or years, people are going to forget this. then another celebrity goes through the same thing and the cycle repeats. changes need to be made NOW—not just for the safety of idols and performers and actors and celebrities, but for everyone.
mental health shouldn't be such a taboo topic.
A moment of silence.
This isn’t usually what I post, especially since I’m not an Aroha, but I’m moved to tears to do this. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Moonbin’s family and friends right now. My heart is truly breaking. Sua, Sanha, Jinjin, MJ, Rocky, Eunwoo, Seungkwan, SinB, Chanwoo, his family, we’re all thinking of you. I hope everyone respects their privacy and their need to grieve, and I also hope we are all able to celebrate his beautiful life and all that he was, and all that he gave to it. Kind, gentle, incredibly talented, I can’t imagine what could’ve happened got him to get to this point. My foundation feels shaken to its core.
Moonbin, I hope you know how much you were loved, and how sorely you shall be missed. You have left a beautiful legacy behind you, and yet it was nothing compared to all you could’ve done. You remain in our hearts and our memories. You were wonderful.
Rest In Peace.
I just want to say how impressed I am with the way Face works as a complete story. Jimin said it was a chronological depiction of his feelings during the pandemic, but I didn’t expect that to be so ACCURATE. It really told the full scope, back to back, and I’m still reeling from it.
We start off with Face-off and it’s anger personified, it has a reactive, volatile energy. It’s harsh and hard-hitting and aggressive and at the core it’s just Jimin so so so hurt.
We move into this tranquil, but haunting interlude with the sounds of running/panicking, the last concert all the boys had together, shuffling around as you come home from a long day, and ending with a drink to numb it all. It just feels like getting lost in a trance and trying to cover up all the mixing emotions, bury them away and ignore them but they’re all fighting for dominance in your head.
Then we lead into Like Crazy, which is in every single way the embodiment of a dream. This fantasy that he doesn’t want to end, saying he wants to stay in the light, feels better in the light, begging to not be saved, to not be woken up. It starts with that line from the movie, saying “I’m afraid of everything disappearing” and it’s so clear that’s the core of this song. Jimin said in an interview his dream is BTS, that he wants to keep that going as long as he can. I don’t think it’s a reach to say this song is about wanting to be on stage, be in the light, be performing, and being afraid of it all going away.
Alone starts with an alarm, being torn from that dream, forcibly awoken as it’s pulled out from underneath you and you have to face the consequences of reality and your self. Here, more than any other song, Jimin seems to grapple with truly facing his emotions and fears head on and hoping to come out the other side the victor. In his Rolling Stones interview he talks about how this album came about after talking to the members, after they encouraged him to harness his emotions and heal through creating music, after he confessed to feeling like he wasn’t doing well, to being lost, and that he was worried he was the odd man out, that everyone else was doing fine while he was struggling to keep up the mask of being fine. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the first song he worked on, when he got back. The lyrics sound so similar to the things he describes in that interview.
And finally, Set Me Free Pt. 2, the culmination of it all, the victory. He comes out on top, reborn. He faced everything in Alone and stepped out the other side with a new outlook and strength. He’s healing, he’s fighting, he’s not discouraged in the way he was at the start of this all. We’ve all seen it, too, how much happier he seems, how he said he felt like he was really, truly happy, how this album was FOR HIM and he just hopes we all like it. He really used this as therapy, to work through all those complicated feelings, and now here he is smiling, laughing, giddy with excitement and I don’t know about you guys but he just feels so much brighter than he did a year ago.
I’m so proud of him. I’m so proud of him, not just for making an incredible album that lets us into such a raw and real place, but for trying. For facing everything dark and twisted in him and taking back control and repurposing it as something beautiful and triumphant. I’m so glad this helped him heal and I’m so glad he’s allowed us to experience it with him.
Oh, and let’s not forget that hidden track, eh? Because above all else Jimin has always been and will always be our sweet, tenderhearted angel who loves us 10x more than we could ever love him. I cried, you cried, we’re all going to continue to cry every time we hear it. It was absolutely beautiful.
