There was a contented hum from Enji when Hawks pressed against him. He pressed a hand on the back of his head to stroke the wild blond hair lazily, the other settling on Hawks’ back to hold him close and trace random patterns on his skin.

While Hawks had needed some time to cope and come to terms with Enji’s past - especially because of his own - he did realize that the older man was trying his best to become a better person, and damned if Hawks wasn’t going to try and help him with that.

Anyways, I don’t think he’d be disappointed, per se. More so… afraid? I don’t know how to explain it really but his trust in Enji would just completely shatter. It would be even worse if he found out from someone other than Enji.

And it’d be even worse if he told Enji about his past beforehand - which I’m not sure he’d actually do. He might tell Enji after the fact but obviously he’d need quite some time to get over the fact that he’s dating a man whom he thought was perfect in every way just to find out about Enji’s past.

Hawks would eventually forgive him, obviously, because he can see that Enji is trying to change and that’s more than his own parents ever did so Enji is still better than them in his eyes.
