“You want to know why. This may sound cynical, but here’s why.
It’s because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single victim of Columbine? Disturbed people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. Why a grade school? Why children? Because he’ll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody.
CNN’s article says that if the body count “holds up”, this will rank as the second deadliest shooting behind Virginia Tech, as if statistics somehow make one shooting worse than another. Then they post a video interview of third-graders for all the details of what they saw and heard while the shootings were happening. Fox News has plastered the killer’s face on all their reports for hours. Any articles or news stories yet that focus on the victims and ignore the killer’s identity? None that I’ve seen yet. Because they don’t sell. So congratulations, sensationalist media, you’ve just lit the fire for someone to top this and knock off a day care center or a maternity ward next.
You can help by forgetting you ever read this man’s name, and remembering the name of at least one victim. You can help by donating to mental health research instead of pointing to gun control as the problem.”

The Innocence...
I watched "The Innocence of Muslims" a few days ago bc I wanted to see exactly what the cause behind the violent protest in the Middle East was. While I do advocate freedom of speech...that movie was made for the sole purpose of offending a people/religion. I have little to no Islamic ties, & even I found it to be incredibly disrespectful. As a result, innocent people are losing their lives & I see all these people on the news burning American flags & chanting "death to America". FUCK THAT!!! I didn't have nothing to do with that shit. Even the U.S. government has tried to separate itself from (& condemn) the movie entirely. Meanwhile, this dickhead that made the movie is hiding his face the couple times he has been on the news. NONE of this shit makes sense to me. 1. Put that dude on blast...all the way. Give the people protesting a face instead of a flag to focus their beef on. If he gets freedom of speech to disrespect/offend people, he should also be held accountable for the backlash. 2. I try to sympathize with people's struggles...but this jus feels like a reason to (further) hate & attack America/Americans. Blaming a nation/people for the acts of an individual is EXACTLY what we were told NOT to do after the WTC attack. 3. Being offended is not justifiable means to murder someone(PERIOD) I don't care who you are &/or what you believe in. I see people down talkin the US, Christianity, etc...every time I get on the Internet. That is your right! & as much as I hate to say it...making that sheer nonsense of a movie was dudes right. If u get to say whatever the fuck u want...so does he. If Jesus is not off limits...then neither is Muhammad? Either it is ALL ok, or NONE of it is!!! I heard a dude on an interview say that people in the states have to understand that it is not the totality of Muslims taking place in these violent protest, & that it was more so the extremist. He said in turn, that the Muslim community has to realize that the movie is not the outlook/belief of the U.S. government or citizens, but rather the opinions of an individual. I agree. FYI...a "troll" is someone who will write/say something JUST for the reaction it will get out of people & the publicity they'll get as a result. Nakoula Basseley Nakoula is now one of the biggest trolls of all time! & just like the PS/Xbox/Internet trolls yellin "nigger" from behind their screen-names...he is hiding now for fear of consequence of his actions. But the truth is...I can't sit here & campaign for him to be punished for this & defend freedom of speech at the same time.
