@iknowitsnotlovenevertheless
the placement changing to show that stonathan will now be the endgame ship is crazy
I find it so funny that whilst the rest of the party were making plans of what they would do when the battle finishes, Dustin and Steve are making a suicide pact in the basement like imagine Lucas or someone walking in during that shit and just having to be like āyou guys arenāt actually going to kill yourselves right, RIGHTā
Steve's face when dustin is literallly begging him not to die kills me
That's because Steve actually believed that Dustin hated him and that since he had lost Eddie, nobody could ever meet his expectations to being such a great friend like he was, so in his mind, Dustin didn't care whether he died or not, and Steve didn't care because he had nothing to lose.Like, it's canon his parents don't give a damn about him, he didn't have a girlfriend or anybody other than the party that cared about him (though in his mind, nobody really cares about him. Which clearly isn't true) so like, for him what matters the most is keeping his friends alive, because they're the only thing keeping Steve alive. I think Steve was kinda, not suicidal, but he doesn't take enough care of himself, the kinda depressive thing where you don't feel like killing yourself, but you wouldn't run away if it nearly happened, plus he does have a little bit of hero complex, so he didn't care about himself or what could happen to him, he wanted to go and save Nancy and Jonathan, not caring about the consequences.
Best advice ever.
I know it's silly, but I'm a bit sad it's over.
The Stranger Things finale got me smiling/laughing as the tears ran down my face.
To everyone saying you cant compare a high school crush to a lifetime one, that's true, but also, you can. This isnt about the amount of love, but Mike was yes Will's Tammy because he was the reason he found out about his sexuality and because after him he learned how to accept himself and love himself for what he is, just like what happened with Robin.
their relationship is so complex and even though them fighting was so sad to watch, it was also shown so good
steve and dustin finally talking even if theyāre arguing. steve saying that eddie got himself killed, which even though he was rude in how he said it (which he later apologizes for), he was right and dustin knows that which is why he was so shocked
steve not wanting to hurt dustin when he starts a physical fight with him, dustin and steve both being in tears after fighting and steve saying āiām doneā to him
all of this leading up to dustin apologizing because this whole time he was just afraid of loosing steve, which steve realizes and sees how important he is to dustin causing him to not go and try to find nancy and johnathan
give joe keery and gaten matarazzo their emmys now
Dustin sobbing and begging Steve not to go because he's terrified of losing him too. Being shot would hurt less than this.
Say what you will but Iām honestly on Steveās side of the Steve and Dustin argument. Steve got tired of getting the same shitty responses from Dustin over the last year and a half and it came to a head for him. If I was trying to care about someone who was only being shitty to me in return Iād probably also retaliate and give them attitude back. Nothing Steve said was untrue either, which is why Dustin reacted the way he did. He didnāt want to hear the truth, especially not from someone who has just taken all the shit heās given him as of late. If Dustin had just expressed his concerns like he did when Steve was trying to climb the ladder from the get go then maybe it wouldnāt have had to get to this point.
Iām not saying Dustin isnāt allowed to grieve, but heās not considering that people besides himself are grieving, too. Steve was able to get off his chest how he feels about what Eddie did, which he is in the right to feel the way he does, but just because he thinks Eddieās death couldāve been avoided doesnāt mean that he also isnāt upset and possibly feeling responsible for what happened to him.
Idk iāve been seeing a lot of steve hate for what he said and it just pisses me off like why is Steve not allowed to be upset but Dustin can act like an asshole to him and we just label it as him grieving?
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thought about volume 2 (spoilers)
Things I liked
-All the Dustin and Steve stuff
-Actually, Dustin was probably the stand out for me in these three episodes, I loved him
-Byclair and madwise crumbs
- I really liked Will but I just felt so bad for him š give my boy a break, he's really been put through it.
- Lucas and Max's reunion
- Max and Holly's dynamic/friendship
- The Kali/el stuff wasn't actually too bad even though I know a lot of people didn't want her return and have a kind of irrational hatred of that one episode in season 2
- the Jancy scene was very emotional although I know it was apparently a break up scene? Idk
- Karen being a badass
Things I didn't like
- That elmax didn't hug when reuniting
- Honestly I love El and she was great as always but she also felt like... A little sidelined? Maybe I'm wrong about that but we'll see what happens in the finale I guess
- Will's coming out scene was like... It was well acted but it should have been just his family and the party
- I'm not even a byler shipper but the way they have handled it is not good. They shouldn't have made Will have an unrequited love interest for so many seasons. If they were going to give him another love interest it should've happened sooner. Idk rubs me the wrong way
-Some of the dialogue felt kind of weird? But idk I need to sit with it for sure. Overall I think they played it pretty safe tbh but that's just how I feel.
Overall episode 6 was probably my favourite. I really liked Dustin, Will, Max and Holly, they were my favourite parts I think. Lucas was great as always even though he didn't get much screen time. Same with Robin although she also didn't get as much screentime as volume 1? (Maybe. I think.)
will: he was my tammy and thatās okay š³ļøāš
literally everyone in the room except for robin (and steve): who the fuck is tammy. why are we crying
no way they made a big dick harrington joke on the show in the year of our lord 2025
āitās too big itās not gonna fit!ā āsteve hears that all the time and he goes in anyway, donātcha steve?ā
OUHHHHHHHHHHH
iām being so insufferable about this omfg
he looks so fuckinā sexy in that sweater OH MY GODDD
