So because i need a bit optimism right now, and you Rosy are probably the most optimistic person in the fandom, how do you see BC going down this season?

I know the spoilers, I realized hiding from them wasn’t worth the anxiety of trying to keep them away. I can handle knowing what’s happening. And it’s a good thing I accepted that, because those spoilers popped up on my dash half a dozen times yesterday, untagged and under no cut, out there right in your face ready to spoil EVERYONE no matter what they wanted. Because that’s the level of respect people are showing about not spoiling a show that won’t even air for another 3 weeks.
But I know what was said, and I’m not talking about it. Mostly because I’m not worried. I don’t care about what you guys are freaking out about and because I’ve been saying this is a possibility since the end of season 4 when you were all freaking out over it then. It is tiring. And you are making a nightmare out of nothing but a plot point. You’re making a war where there is no war. And because you invented a war and an enemy, you are now all suffering and battered and despairing. (hint. it’s not a war and she’s not an enemy. this is why i’m not upset. more on why this development is actually making me ecstatic later.)
The problem here is not the story line, that is fine and REALLY good for the progression of canon, romantic Bellarke in, at LEAST the secondary plot.
The problem here is that you made a judgement about a character and a story possibility and it is entirely based on shipwars, favorites and fears.
When you judge a character, if you want to be fair and as objective as you can be, use the same measure to judge the other characters, including your favorites. If you do so in this case, you will find that Clarke has done a lot of similar stuff to this character I’m not going to talk about. Getting angry at her for being a character like every other character in this show, including Clarke and Bellamy, is hypocritical. You are experiencing confirmation bias. You don’t like her so you decide everything she does is proof that she is evil.
But you have to double check your theories by holding them up against the other characters. If X does Y and it makes her evil, and Z also did Y, but she is not evil… then you have a disconnect. If Y is the definition of evil, then Z is as evil as X. Or maybe Y doesn’t make anyone evil, and neither Z nor X are evil because of it.
FYI, this is a dilemma that both Bellamy and Clarke have dealt with, and it is difficult enough that you can build a whole show around it. Morally gray. There are no good guys. The enemies are just like us, etc for five seasons. So seriously now, y’all need to STOP making people (including the heroes) into bad guys because they made bad, harmful choices. Everyone does. LITERALLY. The question is, what happens next with them? How do they reconcile that harm?
SO. Back to Bellarke and the romantic storyline.
