Well! I never thought I'd get here, but today marks TWO YEARS SOBER FROM ALCOHOL!! Today I woke up in "a mood". I'm so very stressed out about packing and moving, I'm having intense period cramps, and I was just fucking tried, ya know? It would have been so easy to sit inside of my pain and anxiety. In fact, I went back and forth so much with myself about whether or not I wanted to even go to class today that I ended up being a few minutes late 😓. But I made it. AND I HELD SIDE CROW LONGER THAN I EVER HAVE BEFORE. So yeah, I just wanted to sulk. But instead I chose to celebrate my huge accomplishment and push through my desire to wallow by doing something that makes me feel good, strong, and at peace. Today I challenge you to acknowledge whatever is holding you back, sit with it for as long as it takes for you to push through it, and then accomplish something in spite of that obstacle! I used to look at the phrase "life happens" as a negative thing, but now I've learned that life REALLY happens when you power through what's easy to really go for what makes you happy. GO MAKE SOME LIFE HAPPEN! 🙌🙏✌ (at La Fitness Graceland)
