Young Vander for my fanfiction "Sixteen tons" on A03
Reblog and put in the tags what job you wanted in elementary school, then in highschool, and what job you have (or are planning to have) now.
Sixteen Tons Chapter 4 & 5
Two new chapters of my Vanco-fanfic are now up on A03: Chapter 4: Into light Wherein Benzo meets the gang -unbeknownst to everyone involved- the powercouple Vander & Silco. Chapter 5: Not man, man I once was Wherein Silco and Vander start a revolution. With minor setbacks. Or major ones. Bonus: Have a Benzo & Silco fanart from my pencil a well. Im also doing Vander to complete the set (and to not fuck up my instafeed... <3)
Young Benzo, Mr. Spirulini and Pigfoot
Can't get young Benzo out of my head. Loving cat dad to Mr. Spirulini and Pigfoot. Goodlooking. Best Buddy to Vander. Full-time Silco-hater.
Young Benzo has ruined me - Brainrot part 4
Currently, I have fun stalking the Arcane fandom and thanks to great blogs as @arcane-ish and @zaundads on everything related Arcane Meta and prompts, I felt to encouraged to add my own brainrot to the mix and to explore the mining culture and underground of Zaun in my fanwork "Sixteen tons" ... But wait, there is more. Then, young benzo by @thefutonhermit happened and I find myself giving him more screentime and even more story arcs in my piece of fiction than I wanted to. Then several things happened: I not only did a Silco-Fanart piece, BUT I also tried young benzo - heavily influenced by the aforementioned and absolutely, insanely talented @thefutonhermit (This. Pigtail. Is. CANON.), but I also tried to base my piece on old Benzo to get my own take of him. Not sure if it will ever be ready to be shared though...but doing all that.... Well. There was this moment and I knew, I am going insane:
The sideburns. The grumpy. The broken nose and THIS piece of fiction in chapter 4 of Sixteen tons: Warning! Mild Language - insinuating sexual innuendos - “If this involves ME getting YOUR fat ass out of a tiny window because you buttered the pastry of a wedded baker’s wife, I’m out! I also had to buy the pretzels you sweet talked out of your fling that day…” Benzo looked at Vander with mock indignation. Vander snorted, but tried to keep a straight face. He still vividly remembered the conundrum they caused when he had busted Benzo out. The “girlfriend’s” husband had come home early and not only had he found some sugar pretzels missing but also his wife. Benzo had tried to escape through the backrooms window and he had been lucky to spot Vander, who had been running errands that day. Pushing Benzo through the tiny window was like watching a fat persian cat squeezing through a cathouse opening. You never thought they's fit, but cats were liquid.... Come to think of it: Benzo HAD some qualities in both built and personality of a persian cat. His beauty definitely lay in the the of the beholder: He had a stocky, rounder face that lacked Vander's sharp contours and features. To compensate, he wore sideburns that made his face even wider than it actually was. Some compared him to a lion (who had run into the zoo bars one too many times) because of the sideburns, the long hair and broken nose, but Vander likened his long-time childhood friend to a stolid if stubborn Persian cat. This image will never leave me. I have also inventend the cat Mr. Spirulini as a major antagonist for Benzo's arc and how he became a fencer/pawnshop/antiques dealer (because let'ts face it: there is some valuable SHIT in his shop that needs some adavanced knowledge...I need an explanation! D: ).
P.S. Sorry for the @ - But I just want to give credit, where credit and appreciation is due!
