I don't think Nami, as a cartographer, would go so far as to add a whole island that no longer exists to an accurate, up-to-date map, but I can't stop thinking about her adding special details and illustrations to every map of the West Blue in honor of Ohara, especially knowing Robin would draw it in herself as a child

This panel. Holy Shit! But this panel! A picture speaks a thousand words but this panel speaks 1121 chapters of pure distilled Luffy.

Bonney, the long suffering. The child who has been subject to too much pain and too much strife. Here she is front and center, getting her shot in against the oppressor who began looming over her life before it even started. And where is Luffy? Right there, using all his might to lift her up and giving her strength to help her knock him down, and isn't that where he always is? He stands up and he lends what he has, his strength. He offers the chance of freedom for those who are brave enough and have the will to seek it themselves. He is not a benevolent hero who saves for the sake of it. He is the embodiment of freedom, of liberation. He is here to help those who are ready to fight. He helped Vivi and her revolution in Alabasta. He helped the people of Skypiea against their vengeful 'God'. He helped liberate those in Dressrossa, Thriller Bark, Wano. But he never did it as a hero but as a virtue of what could be. He was a sign and a strength of their own liberation. He will lend what he has, strength, but the battle can only be won if those who are oppressed stand with him. God, I want to have this panel framed.

Really having thoughts about how Oda made the Mother flame as a clear analogy for Nuclear power/weapons and how Vegapunk's arc is meant to explore the ways scientific advancement can be harmful and helpful depending on application and how this is all coming from the perspective of a man who lives and writes from the only country in the world where a nuclear bomb was dropped during war time and how nuclear energy has the potential to be a revolutionary power source (especially in a world of advancing climate change catastrophe) in the form of fission of which Edison (the clear basis for Vegapunk) had a large hand in making the US (the dropper of said bomb) aware of through his letter to the president where he also mentioned the potential of atomic energy to be used as a bomb.
