Here are a handful of images that I have flicked over the years in San Jose. changes everywhere some for the good some for the bad. With that said I’m not really on board with all of the high-rise living going up and the chance of Google coming in.
A shame as this building has been up since 1914 if the research is correct. It will now be torn down to what many believe will be new high rise condominiums.The flooding occurred after a faucet was left on in a janitor’s closet on the fourth floor, causing damage to all four floors of the building including the basement. The city deemed it to expensive to fix. I think they were just being greedy. Forward always never backwards....but you know what they do not make building like they used just like cars. Cheaper materials and lack of style, flair and imagination.
Enough rant these are a few flicks from my 5 hour lurk in a most awesome building in the eastbay.
