Holy crepe, can we bring this place back to America with us?
“All that time alone with your father when I was on the road was time spent learning every single way to get under my skin, wasn’t it?” She shook her head and nudged at him with one bare foot. She wasn’t sure just how much of his act was sleepiness, and how much of it was just a genetic love for being an ass. "So, did you come to just say happy mother’s day then sleep the rest of the time on my couch?“
“And some Finnish,” he gave a shit eating grin up from the floor, peeling one eye open to peek at her standing over the top of him. Slowly and not all at once, Amir pushed his body to wake up - sluggishly shifting himself up from the floor and onto his feet so that he could dump heavy arms over his mothers shoulders in another Sloth-grip hug, “No, I came to say happy mothers day and then spend the rest of the day reminding you why you wish you never were one.”
Okay, so he was fucking cute when he wanted to be. He got that from his father, that ability to make her grin and laugh, even when she wasn’t looking to do that. She rarely admitted it aloud, but it was her favorite thing about Jax, and it made Amir hold a spot in her heart that his sister didn’t necessarily touch. Not for lack of love, but because Dany was so much more like her mother, holding her emotions back. "Thanks,“ she said, giving him a hug, then pulling back and pushing to her feet. "Now get up off my couch, boy. You’re getting drool everywhere.”
“Yes, ma’am!” the answer came on the same tired slur as the previous words had - his hand coming up to salute his mother with two fingers. Letting that momentum of his arm thrusting out drag him, he gripped blanket with the other and rolled his way off of the couch with a thud against the floor. Curling up on his side, heavy eyelids came closed again as his lips spread into a sleep kind of smile that edged on cheeky - preparing himself for Jessi’s inevitable onslaught for him being a smartass.
She stood over him, arms folded, lips turned up in a smirk. There was something about seeing her son on the couch that made her remember, oh yeah, it’s Mother’s Day. Not that Amir ever needed a real reason to come by, but something about the two things together just clicked in her mind. Kneeling down beside him, she pulled her fingers through his tangling curls before shaking him awake abruptly. “Alright! You’re getting my couch all nasty with your drools and your snores can still wake the dead. Rise and shine, baby boy.”
The groan was almost immediate - a complaining kind of noise that made him sound like a schoolboy all over again, and the same one that would make Tahan grab his nuts and twist with some words about how is this how you’d rather me wake you up. So on instinct, his legs crossed over as his torso twisted to look towards the room and his mother, a sleepy smile and barely blinking eyes all that he could offer for a moment until he started to wake up. Stretching out like a cat, his arms fell around Jessi’s shoulders in a hug as he mumbled a barely understandable, “Happy Mothers Day...”

He’d gotten in late the night before, when Jessi was already asleep and even Jax was almost right along with her. Usually, he wouldn’t have been as ‘rude’ about coming here, but he couldn’t help that his flight had been delayed. Almost all of his flights were always fucking delayed. It was just the poor luck he’d always had, because he was just too casual about anything for it to become a real issue. But luckily, his dad had been awake so that he didn’t need to sleep on the back doorstep like a fucking puppy dog (which he had, in fact, done before) and he could just take up residence on the couch. Snoring as loud as ever, sprawled out and drooling on the cushions.
Reblog if you can speak, read, or at least kinda communicate in more than one language.

TEXT → Father Michael.
[text] If she bites my head off, I’m feeding you to my wife.
[text]: Okay.
TEXT → Father Michael.
[text] Maybe. I can at least give it a shot.
[text]: Kiitos
TEXT → Father Michael.
[text] Well, it sure as hell isn’t me. I’d have heard about it by now if it were me.
[text]: Then you can call her and she'll answer?
TEXT → Father Michael.
[text] You think she’ll answer me if she won’t answer you?
[text]: Maybe? It depends on who she's upset with.
TEXT → Father Michael.
[text] Have you tried calling her?
[text]: She's dodging my calls.
TEXT → Father Michael.
[text] And she hasn’t been here at all. So either she’s not really in LA or she’s avoiding the hell out of us.
[text]: I don't know where she'd be if she wasn't in LA.
TEXT → Father Michael.
[text] Not a good sign. When’s the last time you saw her?
[text]: Couple of days ago. She said she was going to Cali to visit Tahj.
TEXT → Father Michael.
[text] No, but by the sound of things, I think I should. What’s going on.
[text]: I don't know. She's acting off lately and I haven't heard anything from Drew with what's going on so.. she's not talking to either of us.
