Jax watched as Pomni turned her back to him. She raised the gun to stare at it. Jax frowned slightly, ears twitching at the noise of the gun. She wasn't really thinking...? Hah. No. She was too much of a coward.

Snorting, Jax set his hands on his hips. He'd pushed her far enough away she was bound to get the hint now. There was nothing more to him than his archetype. "What, you seriously can't take a--"

Jax was cut off by the sharp bang of the gun. He hadn't even noticed Pomni raise the barrel to her temple.

"A-ah..." Jax blinked, staring at the spot where Pomni had been standing moments before. The gun laid on the ground innocently, smoke wafting from its barrel.

He... hadn't expected that. He had expected Pomni to throw the gun down and storm off in frustration.

Hell, he'd expected her to shoot him like he wanted. But...THAT?

Jax stared at the ground, reeling as an uncomfortable pressure gripped his throat. "Wh-what the f@$k..."

Sucks for you because I LOVE this kinda angst because I love me some dark drama 🥹

She had, at some point, curled up on the floor, face buried in her arms. Her ears were dropped on either side of her head.

Ugh. What a pathetic way to sleep.

Exhaling, Jax drew his knees to his chest and dropped his forehead on top of them. "F@$&ing dream..."

"If I abstracted tomorrow, what would you do?"

Scowling, Jax looked back at Pomni. Her fur was raised slightly. It had dropped in temperature over the night and her sleeveless jacket wasn't the best heat saver.

"You're such an idiot," Jax muttered under his breath, taking off his jacket and throwing it over Pomni. He quickly turned his back just in case Pomni woke up. When he didn't hear anything, he turned his head to see Pomni hadn't moved, the jacket laying haphazardly across her midsection.

It looked comically small on her.

"Huh. That went better in my head."

Right. Different bodies.

Jax rolled his eyes, slowing to a stop, dropping his arms from the back of his head.

"Okay," he muttered under his breath. He turned, marching back to Pomni and grabbing her arm. "Get off the floor before someone sees you. You're ruining my reputation."

"It's not my fault you're freakishly tall," Pomni grumbled, staggering to her feet, using Jax as a support.

"Ugh, get off!" Jax flailed his arms, shoving Pomni back. "Don't use me like a table."

The shove unbalanced Pomni and she staggered back, arms waving as she struggled to stay on her feet.

"Hold your arms out."

Holding her arms out, Pomni managed to catch herself, standing with her knees together like someone on ice skates unsteady on their feet.

It was a pathetic stance that made Jax irrationally angry, remembering the cowardly Evil Jax.

Pomni, however, seemed pleased to be back on her feet.

Huffing, Jax turned and continued strolling down the hallway to his room.

"Wha--wait!" Pomni called, eyes darting between the ground and the departing Jax. "You're just going to leave me here?!"

Jax waved farewell at Pomni without looking behind him. "See you tomorrow, Pom Pom!"

Forgive me I'm on the stupid sauce uhhhhhhh

It's set after ep. 6 so everything is kinda awkward between Jax and Pomni. Caine eventually notices that the entire vibe of the circus is off and after a comment from Bubble that he's not a mind reader, he decides to swap EVERYONE as another "team building exercise"

Jax with Pomni, Ragatha with Kinger, and Zooble with Gangle

Pomni takes a bit to get used to Jax's body as to her it's like walking on stilts so she keeps falling lol

After a few days, Caine yeets them all into a new adventure which is VERY realistic (yet still video gamey). It's a zombie apocalypse world. Their goal is to find the vial that can switch them back. Jax obviously tells Pomni they don't have to do anything because Caine can switch them back anyway so it doesn't matter who gets the vial.

They eventually join forces with Ragatha and Kinger (after some convincing from Pomni) to find the vial. They're also joined by Felix, a feline NPC that Jax is certain is a twist villain.

As they travel through the levels, Jax realizes he has a crush on Pomni and goes through an internal crisis over it. Pomni realizes a bit later she's crushing on Jax and also internally crises over it.

In each other's bodies they can also access "dream-memories". It's not something they can control. So yes Pomni will have a dream about Ribbit and Jax will piece together why Pomni is touch averse.

Art improvement

I found a picture I drew of a creature I made up and then I found my diary all from three years ago. So I wanted to show you the art I found from then and my art now. The creature I called an A.

You can make fun of my art from three years ago if you want because I also made fun of it. I just wanted to post it here because I remembered that I was thinking about quitting art entirely at that time. I had such little confidence in my art that I wanted to throw away ALL of my art supplies to quit. I didn't and decided to keep going and my art hella improved.

If 6th grade could see me, I know she'd be proud of the artist I became (but then take it back after she finds out I'm a transgender man 💀). I'm not perfect (far from it) but I'm better than I was and I'm slowly improving.
