reveals have finally been made for the 3rd drarry fest that i’ve participated in since being pushed headfirst (and then falling all on my own) into drarry by @hajinjin13 last spring, so i can post my piece here finally 😋

my piece is a howl’s moving castle screenshot redraw ft. draco as howl, and harry as sophie! when i saw the prompt list for @lcdrarry and saw this prompt, it was REALLY crazy timing because hajin and i had literally been discussing this exact crossover less than a week before

the thought crossed my mind that draco is very monogamous. perhaps it's because of his strict traditional upbringing where his parents' marriage served as a lifelong example from childhood.

lucius or narcissa probably didn't have many partners. it's unlikely they cheated on each other (no matter how deeply they loved each other; they simply couldn't tarnish the family's reputation).

it's hard to say how romantic draco is but he remains true to his feelings until the end. i think he simply knew he was destined to start a family and leave an heir. that is, there was a rooted belief in only one person being with him throughout his life.

and when draco realized how deeply he was entangled in his feelings for harry he was horrified. he simply couldn't extract it from himself. the fact that harry is not only handsome but also an overall remarkable person didn't really help. draco endlessly searched for flaws in him, taunted and teased him, looked for a real reason to truly despise him but it didn't help.

meanwhile, it seems to me that harry is more straightforward. he falls in love easily, changes partners. perhaps at times he desires something more long-lasting because harry has this need to love and be loved but he doesn't fixate on one person.
