MAD MAX DESERVES BETTER

I’m going to go off on a little tangent on how bad Max was treated the entire series. Max comes from a broken family with an abusive step-father and brother, her brother constantly making threats and treating her like absulute shit. Having just moved to town and just starting a new school she has absulutely zero friends, that’s when she’s invited to hang with the group by Dustin and Lucas, immediately after Mike starts being super cold to her. While trying to help find Dart, Max gets called annoying by Mike who proceeded to tell her he does not want her in their party. Max then trying to warm Mike up to her (as she wants him to like her so she can hang with the group without feeling unwanted) by cracking a few jokes and teasing him. Eleven proceeded to throw Max off her skateboard after seeing her and Mike just talking. Eleven then starts to cry when seeing Mike help Max up, which he wouldn’t have had to do if Eleven didn’t over react and purposely try to hurt Max for just T A L K I N G. After this, Max then gets excluded from the group for the second time. She realizes she doesn’t deserve this treatment and leaves. Lucas and Dustin are solid friends to her after the truth was revealed. I felt Mike warming up to her torwards the end after she drugged her brother to protect them. Max then upon meeting Eleven stuck her hand out intruducing herself, El, after hugging everybody else, looked at her then walked away. You can immediately see Max’s face deflate. Just as she started to think she could be apart of the group as Mike was starting to come around BOOM another person dislikes her for no valid reason. I love Mike, I love Eleven, but they treated her like shit when all she wanted to do was be apart of the gang.
