hey there, i’m loaf/aster :D i use he/they, i’m agender and aroace, and i am a MINOR! 

non-exhaustive list of things i’m interested in: mythology (especially greek), hamilton, epic: the musical, the outsiders, hermitcraft, hades (the game), the life series, history, @/shepscapades’ dbhc au, dracula, and much more. they tend to take turns being the main focus of my brain. for example, you can probably tell the outsiders currently has a chokehold on me lol

i’m an artist! i love to write and draw especially, but you’re RARELY gonna see me post anythin’ ‘cause my confidence isn’t that big, lol. 

if you are: a bigot in any way (transphobic, homophobic, ableist, a terf, etc), heavily disrespectful (whether about shipping, someone else’s choices, etc), a proshipper, a pedophile, whatever — you’re getting blocked, plain and simple. if you are kind and respectful, we are cool 👍

other things to note: 

my idiot (younger, mind you) brother is @ghostertoasted (/lh). the apollo to my artemis. have i mentioned that we share a single braincell? (and to rin: i BEG to differ) [are we biological siblings? nope. are we found family? yessir]

i tend to ramble/talk a lot in tags, just as a warning ig. i can get real poetic and 'deep', so to speak, so if that's not your cup of tea, sorry!

i am at school most of the week! i have lots of schoolwork to complete! therefore i am not online too often, but guaranteed, when everything dies down some, i tend to be online. (i also procrastinate, so... you’ll see me around)

i set a flimsy tent up here in tumblr and now it's become a stone cabin, so i don't know what to tell you (yes tumblr is my only social media lmao)

please know i’m on this hellsite to have FUN! i will rarely reblog discourse stuff unless i choose to

Amano: Using turban shells* to open up holes in gear requires craftsmanship that only urchins can do. In the plaza, only Spyke could do it, but he couldn't do it anymore. He decided to stay in a cool place, drink coffee, and make even more money. So he left those skillful sea urchin techniques to Murch, and let him do his own thing. All sea urchins are quite deft, but I think Murch is even better at it than Spyke.

Inoue: Still, Murch is someone who deeply respects Spyke.

*Super sea snails are specified to be turban snails in JP.

Hi! I thought I’d put together a couple of rambles and doodles for my thought process on how I draw my Xisuma’s helmet! I hope it’s at least a little bit helpful :D

I can’t stress how much of my mental process is just telling myself “attempt the 3D shapes, but if it’s really and truly not working out after a bit of fiddling (esp if it’s just for a doodle or not a serious comic), it’s fine the way it is, because I’m gonna draw him a million more times, and the repetition will be more helpful at getting the hang of it than trying to make this one drawing perfect. Also people are not eagle-eye squinting at my shapes to see if they’re perfect, so don’t stress about it goober” so hopefully that helps too hehe :)

like i quite literally have never been more passionate about anything than i am about the human race’s invariable desire to tell stories and the fact that we always find a way to do it, through spoken language and written language and body language and visual art and theater and poetry and oral tradition and a million other things. there are so many things we take for granted about the human experience that we never stop to think about but i really want you to take a step back and consider how fucking amazing it is that our need to tell stories transcends all boundaries of time and geography and borders and language. it is one of very few things that is legitimately intrinsic to human nature and i will never stop being completely in awe of humanity for that.

What’s that saying? We are the Universe experiencing itself. Well, these Artemis II astronauts are out there experiencing the universe on an entirely different level.

I’ll admit, I had this idea and I did not eat or sleep or move until it was done. It was just one of those things that you need to get out or it’ll stay a sketch forever. I changed up my style a bit for this one too, utilizing some of the more artsy procreate brushes I have never touched in my entire life as an iPad artist.
