Rewritten Ninjago story arcs (w/ some additions)
▫️Lloyd still feels reluctant about his mother, Misako, abandoning him and flirting with his uncle. He has every right to be pissed at her and call her out on flirting with Wu when she was STILL married to Garmadon, even if he did turn evil. She could have at least kept in touch with him after leaving him at Darkly's Boarding School for Bad Boys to make her look a little more sympathetic and yet she didn't. Lloyd's feelings about his mother reentering his life still remain complicated and somewhat distant.
▫️With Mr. E revealing to be Echo-Zane, Jay and Nya come out to Zane about how they both knew about him and never told anybody about the events of Skybound. Everyone was in shock, especially Zane, who couldn't believe that his own friends, his own family, kept the fact that they knew he had a brother back at the lighthouse. This drives a wedge in Zane's relationship with Jay and Nya, resulting in him not only not speaking to them, but contemptuously blames them as well. He wants to forgive them eventually, but the road to forgiveness is easier said than done and, as far as he's concerned, Zane won't forget this.
▫️On the subject on the Echo-Zane reveal, the rose tinted image Zane had for his father, Dr. Henry Julien, has taken a darker shade. Dr. Julien may have built Echo as a replacement of Zane to fill the void and the moment when Zane and the Ninja got shipwrecked to the lighthouse prison, he completely forgot about Echo like he was absolutely nothing. Never once did he bother to mention to Zane that he has built a brother and could have taken with them when they left said lighthouse. This realization only complicates Zane's relationship with his late father, blaming him as well for turning Echo/Mr. E into the way he is, much to Zane's chagrin.
▫️The dreaded love triangle from Rebooted was, for lack of a better word, disastrous from the start. Instead of holding Nya's hand in the train, Cole should have retracted his, shocked that Nya attempted to hold his hand. Nya would have confided with Kai about her dilemma, but Kai calls. Her. Out. He finds it so mind-bogglingly stupid that Nya allowed a machine to define who she should be dating when she was already with Jay, whom she chose herself. Cole has been feeling uncomfortable with the incident of Nya trying to romantically appeal to him, while Jay, on the other hand, is heartbroken, unintentionally overhearing the whole thing. Mad, Jay decides to confront Nya about this, which the latter sullenly confirms. This prompts Jay to take a break with Nya until he's ready to talk this out with her maturely and find out where they both stand.
▫️Lloyd experiences some traumatic flashbacks of his past (the Final Battle with the Overlord, Garmadon resurrected, Morro's possession, the Oni battle). At first, it seems like he treats it as nothing, but over time, It's starting to get worse, with sign of depression catching up to him. With a fake smile, Lloyd has kept in denial about this and hides it from his friends, who start to worry about him when they notice some of the signs cracking in Lloyd's seemgly 'fine' façade. He eventually comes clean about his condition. Shocked and saddened by this bombshell, the Ninja embrace Lloyd with no hesitation whatsoever. They all pitch in to get Lloyd the help he needs to manage his PTSD, especially therapy.
▫️ If the Echo Zane turning out to be M.r E had followed through, after being dismembered by Emperor Garmadon under his reign, Echo-Zane/Mr. E has miraculous rebuilt with his severed remains, by the Crystal Council. However, he is DONE allying himself with manipulative despots. He goes off on his own with just himself and his motorcycle throughout Ninjago City, still loathing his brother, Zane and the Ninja. He eventually meets Blazey H. Speed (A.K.A. Racer Seven) when he got his torso ripped off and she tried to reattach said torso back to his body. At first, their surprising dynamic seemed like Blazey would just repair him and they would both go about their separate ways when finished. However, they get stuck together being pursued while Echo/Mr. E was still on the lam. Blazey hides him (not without proposing a deal with him, which he reluctantly agreed) and they get to know each other without realizing it. This blossoms into a rapport between the two, which later culminates into a suprisingly romantic relationship (Blazey softens Echo a bit and fixes him). Echo would later go by 'E', change his voice a bit, and even give himself a new hairstyle to break himself out of the template of his older brother's likeness and be his own nindroid.
