Bought this after the Sunday mass today. It's not often that I allow myself to get a Mcdo Caramel sundae in doubled-size; but today's an exception -- something to lift my spirit for this not-one-of-the-best-day-in-my-entire-existence. A sweet calorie-guilt-filled for rough my July 7th is kinda nice. :)

One of the reasons why last week has been so awesome for me is because of these three new treasures I got from Book Sale!. 

The Tolkien Quiz Book by Andrew Murray: Bought this one for my Ate Karen's 21st birthday last June 26. I sneaked in her room some time last week and I saw that she has two of the three Lord of the Rings trilogy books that's why I think that although this is not much for a gift, it's somewhat perfect for her. Didn't ask her thoughts about my gift after giving it but I hoped she liked it. After all  it's the thought that always counts right? :3

Then the other two were bought to spoil myself. Haha! :D

I bought The Late Lamented Molly Marx of Sally Koslow a day before I got Peter McWilliam's DO IT! Let's Get Off Our Buts but I decided to read the latter one first right now. I'm not much of a fast reader and things in school are really getting busier now because of my internship (ojt) but I'm really hoping that I would be able to finish these two before July ends. You'll wish me a good luck and more more more free time right? :)

June 22, 2013

My day started off early, with me helping Mama do the household laundry chore. I actually wanted to ask her permission to allow me to buy a book I needed in school in Recto and attend the CFC Anniv in Luneta afterwards that's why I thought that pleasing her first would rather be a good move. Mama was actually hesitant at first but after some minutes of discussion and persuasion, she eventually gave in to my request. :D

I left home at around 11:30 am to meet a friend/co-YFC brother from Bataan, Jhunren (or Jhunie as we often call him) since he too will be attending the event. He kindly offered his help on my search for the book I needed. We arrived at Recto at around 2:00 pm.. but unluckily, we weren't able to find it.

We decided to have our late lunch at KFC Isetann while waiting for our other companions.

Look at his 'sumasabaw' na order. Nasira daw yung kuhanan sa gravy kaya gumanyan. Hahaha.

We met our friends outside Isetann afterwards. Twas already four when we arrived at Luneta and met some of Kim's friends from YFC Cavite. :)

It's a good thing that we arrived few minutes before the mass because I just felt so blessed that I was able to hear Bishop Tagle's homily in person finally! I've heard from an Ate before of how moving his words are when he's preaching the homily and they were indeed. 

Heavy rain fell few minutes after the homily. Good thing that most of us brought umbrellas so we kinda survived it. The heavy rain subsided not too long after the mass so we decided to still stay at the venue and join the CFC community in the praisefest. Worth it. Time spent in worshiping the Lord is always worth it. :)

We ate our dinner at KFC and had some desserts at a Mcdo nearest the venue before taking the 11'oclock bus ride on Avenida and went home.
