today, im more mad about the racist gesture towards yu darvish than the loss. It doesn’t matter who you are or the color of your skin racism out of all sports in baseball should be a lesson established years ago. Every year we remember the passing of one of the best baseball players of all time, who received terrible treatment beyond any of my comprehension. It’s unimaginable what Mr. Robinson would think of it. As a professional athlete Yuli should know better that this was broadcast and watched all over the WORLD. I know my little brother does as a baseball player and he aspires to follow the major leagures. I understand that Cubans refer Chinese men as “chino” and I see no wrong in that. The gesture, however is something else. Like Yuli said he didn’t mean to offend anyone and I pray that he acknowledges his wrong not only because he got caught. If the mlb is stupid enough to only fining him for his money (because god knows that will teach everyone a lesson) then that just shows that a game is more important than the displeasure and discomfort of a display upon a race. I hope Mr. Darvish is doing well and gets the opportunity to talk to Yuli himself.
