You shouted at the boy standing across from you as you threw your belongings into your purse. Peter winced at your use of his full name because for the last 14 months of his life it had been Pete, love, or baby. Anything but Peter.
“Please don’t do this. You don’t understand,” he begged.
“I don’t want to understand anymore. It’s over. We’re over.”
You couldn’t help the look of anguish that passed over your features as the words left your mouth. You loved the boy in front of you with everything you had, but you couldn’t let yourself get hurt any longer. Once you had all your things, you made your way through his apartment, thankful his aunt was out for the day.
“No,” he began “I won’t let you walk out that door.”
“Don’t make this harder than it has to be.”
Your fingers had just barely brushed the door knob when you felt a tug on the back of your shirt. At the sound of your name, you turned to face him and took in the sight in front of you. Peter was on his knees with tears streaming down his face. He grasped at your shirt with both fists. As your eyes met his own, you could feel a pain in your chest, and for the first time in your life it occurred to you that the word heartbreak wasn’t just a figure of speech.
“Pete...” you trailed off, unable to find the right words.
“Tell me what to do and... and I’ll do it.”
His voice was quiet, broken. You could barely make out his words.
“Where are you when I wake up at night and the bed is empty? Where are you when you’re an hour late to our dates? When,” you struggled to finished, “When I need you and you’re nowhere to be found,” you pleaded for answers with a tone matching Peter’s.
He looked away.
“I can’t-” he began, but you cut him off.
“Then I’m gone.”
Before you could even turn away, his voice stopped you.
“I’m Spiderman,” he blurted out.
You blinked at his words, only now registering that your cheeks were wet and your heart was racing. With furrowed brows, you considered what he just said as silence filled the air.
“Say something,” he pleaded.
You didn’t respond, trying to comprehend what your boyfriend had just told you. He took your silence as rejection.
“Please,” he began, rising to his feet, “I’ll tell you anything you want to know.”
He took your face in his hands, brushing his thumb across your cheekbone.
“The Stark internship?” you questioned, meeting his eyes.
He couldn’t read your expression. Confusion, relief, hurt, and anxiety were somehow all wrapped into one look.
“The Stark internship is being Spiderman, yes.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I was scared,” he answered truthfully.
“Of what?”
“Scaring you away, or putting you in danger.”
You let out a breath you didn’t realize you had been holding in.
“I’m so sorry, Pete,” you choked out before wrapping your arms around him.
“What?” he asked incredulously, “what do you have to be sorry for?”
He entangled one of his hands in your hair and wrapped the other around your shaking frame.
“I thought... I thought you were seeing someone else. When in reality...”
You trailed off, full of guilt. He kissed the top of your head before resting his chin there.
“There is nothing to forgive. I was being secretive and you were being rational.”
The two of you stayed like that for a while, a comfortable silence filled the air. The weight had been lifted from both of your shoulders.
“I know we need to talk about this,” he started, “but for tonight let’s just be together.”
Prompt: can i have a request where reader is a force senstive prisoner, so hux takes her to continue the hux family line, but doesnt know that the reader and kylo used to be together. thank youuuu!!!!! cant wait to read it
The two of you just stared at one another, unmoving. You took in a breath, trying to gather your thoughts.
“You... You’re Kylo Ren,” you said, the statement coming out more as a question.
You needed some sort of affirmation, believing your eyes were deceiving you. This couldn’t be Ben, no, not your Ben. He was gentle, there was no way he was a cold-blooded killer. Then it hit you. Han.
“You killed your own father,” you let out, pain evident in your voice.
“He wasn’t my father,” Kylo grunted.
“Bullshit, Ben!”
He flinched at the sound of his name. You found yourself leaning against the wall for support, your mind unable to process everything happening. Kylo took a step toward you, a look of concern on his face.
“No,” you growled out, “Do not come near me.”
“(Y/N)-”
“Stop!” you yelled out, covering your ears with your hands, “How could you do this? You just left me! Killed all our friends! And for what?”
“To bring order to the galaxy, for you..”
You became hysterical at his words.
“You call this order?” you asked, laughing as tears ran down your face, “This is tyranny! The galaxy is in tatters!”
“If you just let me explain-”
“Theres nothing to explain, Ben.”
“I’m not Ben anymore,” he rumbled.
“You know what? You’re right. Ben was caring and full of love, and that’s how I’ll remember him. But you? You’re nothing but a monster!”
Your words tore through Kylo as you went to walk past him. He went to grab your hand, ready to plead with you. He couldn’t lose you. Not again. As you felt his skin on yours, you ripped your hand away from him. At the contact, it felt as if the Force ignited your body.
“Don’t touch me!”
As the words escaped your mouth, Kylo was thrown across the room, a look of disbelief on his face. Nonetheless, he let you exit his chambers without another word. You wandered the hallway for only a few moments when you saw a few stormtroopers.
“Hey isn’t that one of the prisoners?” one asked the other.
They approached you.
“I should warn you not to touch me.”
“Is that a threat?” the trooper regarded you with disgust, “Apprehend the girl.”
As the other trooper tried to subdue you, you used the Force to throw him against the wall.
“Hey! What-” you cut off the other trooper by rendering him unconscious.
You looked down at your hands, the Force freely flowing through you a lost feeling. All the noise had woken Hux who was knocked out by Kylo earlier. He emerged from his chambers, ready to reprimand whoever was causing all the commotion. Then he spotted you, two stormtroopers at your feet.
“Sorry about.. Er..” you trailed off looking down at the floor.
His eyes widened in surprise.
“Well, no worries, I suppose,” he said scratching the back of his neck, “Would you like to come in?”
You didn’t answer him, simply made your way into his chambers. You sat on his bed and let out a long breath.
“Are you.. Are you okay?” he questioned.
You let out a small laugh.
“I’m not the one who got thrown into a wall. Are you okay?”
You saw his cheeks redden as you mentioned Kylo’s violence. Your face softened.
“I’m sorry. It wasn’t my intent to-”
“I know,” he interrupted you quietly and took a seat next to you, “I’ll manage. He does have his tendencies. Are you alright,” he asked again.
You furrowed your brow.
“He’s hurt you before?”
Hux looked down, his silence confirmation enough.
“Oh, Armitage.”
You frowned as you lightly placed a hand on his cheek, examining his face. He seemed to lean into the warmth of your touch. The two of you were close, the proximity not making you as nervous as it would have a few hours ago. It was quiet for a moment.
“You still haven’t answered my question,” Hux nearly whispered.
You sighed, your hand falling to your lap.
“I suppose,” you paused, “I knew him before all of this.”
Realization seemed to dawn on him.
“You two were together?”
You didn't respond right away, your eyes downcast.
“Yes, but he wasn’t him. He was a whole different person,” you tried to explain.
He nodded silently. You began to wonder if he was uncomfortable with the situation.
“It bothers you, doesn't it?” you inquired with a tone of sadness.
“No, no. I’m just processing it all, I suppose. My nights usually aren’t this eventful,” he gave you a small smile.
You let out a breath of a laugh, feeling relieved.
“So are we still...”
“If you’ll have me,” he responded, a ghost of a smile gracing his face.
Prompt: Kylo Ren goes on a short mission, leaving the only thing keeping him sane in the care of General Hux: his sister.
Part 1
________________________________________________
You and the general sat down to eat after two stormtroopers delivered your food. You found yourself seated across from him at a small dining table.
“So, (Y/N), how are you enjoying life on the base?”
“Oh, I’m very lucky to be here. Life with the First Order is wonderful,” you relayed your well rehearsed lines to him.
Hux smiled at you.
“I’m asking you as a person, (Y/N). Not as the general of this base.”
You looked up at him with shy eyes, wondering how he saw right through you, and sighed.
“Well, I suppose it does get very lonely. My only friend here is my brother and he’s often busy. I have everything I could possibly need though, so I shouldn’t complain.”
“Everyone is entitled to a complaint every once in a while,” he told you.
“Maybe so. I just know I have it easy here, compared to you or Kylo.”
“And what makes you say that?”
“The two of you are always working so hard. Sometimes I wonder if Kylo is a machine or something, with as little sleep he gets. I worry about him not eating enough, or getting himself worked up over different mishaps… I’m sure you know how that goes.”
Hux watched you carefully as you spoke of your brother with concern. He noticed for the first time how tired you appeared, and you had a look in your eye that he couldn’t quite place. He fished for the right words to say, wanting to ease your worries.
“Ren does get quite worked up, but we all have our own ways of alleviating stress. As for his wellbeing, Captain Phasma and I keep an eye on him.”
You considered this for a moment.
“I guess it makes me feel better to know I’m not the only one looking out for him,” you told him before continuing, “Do you have anyone looking out for you?”
The general was taken back for a moment. He thought of how his harsh authority left him with few friends, if any really.
“I suppose maybe a few,” he told you, though unsure that he was being truthful.
“Well now you’ve got one more,” you smiled at him.
Hux felt something twist in his stomach at your words. It was a strange feeling, something he wasn’t sure he had experience before. He tried to brush it off as you being kind, or making conversation, though in the back of his head he knew he wanted it to be real.
“As do you, (Y/N).”
The two of you shared a smile before you continued with small talk. Though this time, it was lighter conversation. He told you about what work he needed to complete for the rest of the day. You told him about the novel you were reading. He admired the way you told him of the story, your eyes bright and your voice enthusiastic. Much to his dismay, he had to excuse himself after what seemed too short a time. He did have a lot of work to attend to.
You found yourself disappointed at the general’s departure. You enjoyed his company and were left alone in his chambers. Well, not completely alone, Millicent was there. You took the time to message your brother on your datapad, asking how he was faring on his mission. You made sure to tell him you were doing well, not wanting him to worry about you when he had an important task at hand. Afterwards, you found different ways to occupy the rest of your day. The general didn’t return until late in the evening, a tired look on his face when he entered the room. When he first arrived, you were in the refresher, changing into your nightwear. Once you emerged, you were met with the general taking off his boots.
“Hi Armitage,” you greeted him, “how was your day?”
“Long,” he grimaced.
He finally stood up, looking at you for the first time. His eyes roamed your body for a moment, but he quickly looked away, hoping you didnt notice. He began to shed his great coat, looking forward to changing into his more comfortable nightwear.
“Here, let me help,” you offered.
You assisted him in sliding the coat down his shoulders and hanging it up on a hook. The poor man seemed so exhausted, it was hard not to help him.
“Thank you,” he murmured.
You sat down on the bed, watching him move about the room.
“Armitage, you seem so tired. I really don’t mind sleeping on the couch, don’t let me take your bed another night.”
“I’m always this tired at the end of the day, it has nothing to do with sleeping arrangements. I won’t have you on the couch,” he said with a small smile.
You returned his smile before looking down at your lap. Reluctantly, you slid under the covers of the large bed as Hux got ready for the night. When he emerged from the refresher, you noticed his usually tame hair was disheveled. Your cheeks flushed at the sight, wondering how many people had seen him in such an informal state. You marveled at the standard he held himself to, though you thought it unnecessary after seeing him like this. The general looked good either way. The two of you settled in after Hux switched off the lights.
“Good night, (Y/N).”
“Good night,” you returned quietly.
It seemed that as soon as his head hit the pillow, Hux fell asleep. You listened to his breathing even out, the sound lulling you to sleep as well. After a short time, you dozed off. However, the general’s sleep did not go undisturbed for long. He was awoken from his sleep by a sharp cry of pain. Jolting up, he looked about the room. He found no intruders, and nothing was out of place. Then he heard a small whimper that may have gone unnoticed if he wasn’t listening so carefully.
“(Y/N)?” he called out with a worried tone.
When you didn’t respond, he realized you were dreaming. A frown became present on the general’s usually impassive face. He wondered if he should wake you, unsure if you would be uncomfortable with the situation. Although his uncertainty diminished when he heard you nearly scream, and pull at the blankets around you. He was by your side in a flash, leaning over your trembling body. He shook your shoulder gently, trying to wake you from your nightmare. Your hand latched onto his wrist.
“No please don’t,” you begged in a weak voice.
He sat on the bed next to you, trying again to wake you.
“(Y/N), wake up,” he said a little more urgently this time.
This attempt was successful as you sat up quickly with a gasp. You took in your surroundings before nearly falling into Hux, wrapping your arms around his slim frame. He stiffened at the contact, not used to being touched. In spite of that, it only took him a moment to relax and you pull you against him.
“I- I’m sorry for waking you Armitage,” you stuttered out.
“Don’t worry yourself over it. Are you okay?”
You felt his chest vibrate as he spoke, suddenly aware of the close proximity between the two of you.
“I had a bad dream,” you told him.
“Do you want to talk about it?” he offered gently.
You just shook your head against his shoulder, still trying to even out your breathing.
“You should go back to sleep. I’m sorry I woke you. I know how tired you are.”
Hux exhaled, your breath hot against his cold skin. Despite your offer, neither of you moved. Your head in the crook of his neck, an arm around his middle. He stayed still, his arms still wrapped around you.
“Don’t think I don’t take notice of your tiredness as well,” he said carefully.
At this, he felt your arm hold him a little tighter, but only for a second. He lowered himself down on the bed, arms open in a silent offer. You took him up on it, laying down with your back pressed against his chest. As he laid there, your quiet sniffles the only sound in the room, a feeling of contentment crept up on him. Both of you were very aware of the other, unspeaking in what should have been an uncomfortable situation. However, you both found solace in the feeling of the other. The two of you drifted off to sleep before long, getting the best rest either if you had in a while.
Prompt: can i have a request where reader is a force senstive prisoner, so hux takes her to continue the hux family line, but doesnt know that the reader and kylo used to be together. thank youuuu!!!!! cant wait to read it
AN: Alrighty idek hux is like a cool dude in this so i guess its kinda kylo x reader x hux?? i might make a part two. lemme know who u want reader to end up with
You had been taken hostage by the First Order and were restrained in a cell for what seemed like days, though it was only hours. General Hux had led an attack on the resistance, and he couldn’t wait to rub his success in Kylo Ren’s face once he returned from his solo mission. A rebel stronghold was destroyed, and they had taken a valuable captive. At first, you seemed to be an average rebel, but it was soon discovered that you were Force sensitive. You hadn’t trained with your abilities since the Jedi Temple had been destroyed and your boyfriend, Ben Solo, was killed. Your abilities were weak because of this, and your attempt to use them did nothing but give you away.
Upon hearing the news, General Hux could hear his father’s voice in his head. “Continue our dynasty, make it stronger.” He now knew how he could do so. If you bore him a son, he would not only be force sensitive, but also have the advantage of being a new generation in one of the most decorated military families in history.
Trying to use the Force brought up a lot of memories for you, mostly of Ben. A tear slid down your cheek as you thought of your past. Life hadn’t been the same since the destruction of the Temple. You lost everything, being the only survivor. A door opened, tearing you from your thoughts. It wasn’t a stormtrooper as you expected, it was a tall man, dressed in a crisp uniform.
“Good evening evening Miss...” he trailed off waiting for a response.
“(Y/N),” you said quietly.
“Ah, (Y/N)... I have a proposal for you.”
This caught your attention and you looked up to meet his eyes.
“I am General Hux, I’m sure you have heard of me. I am the product of a celebrated and successful military family,” he paused only to notice your furrowed brow, “Given your abilities, I would like to take you as my wife.”
Your jaw nearly hit the floor.
“Your wife? Are you crazy-“
“Now, now. Hear me out. If you were to accept my offer you would live here with me. I could provide you safety, and well, anything you could want.”
You considered his offer. Maybe it wasn’t that crazy. You knew in your heart that Ben was your soulmate, so what was there to lose marrying this man? There wasn’t much left for you. At least this way you’d be safe and well fed.
“Okay,” you said with a small voice.
“Okay? That’s all it took?”
“Did you want me to say no?” you bit back.
“No, of course not. I’m very pleased with your answer. I will have a guard escort you to my chambers.”
And just like that, he was gone. Someone came in a few moments later and you were led to your room. They brought you a few sets of clothes and other essentials that you would need. The general’s room was moderately sized, and very nice. You washed up in the refresher and got dressed before sitting down on the bed. You ran your fingers over the silk sheets, your stomach turning at the thought of being under them with a man. You’d been sleeping alone for many years, you’d nearly forgot what anything else was like. The general entered the room and greeted you.
“(Y/N), I thought we could have dinner tonight. I’ve put all my affairs into order.”
You responded with a simple nod, surprised as his offer. You hadn’t expected him to be so decent. Once your meals arrived you joined him at a small table. He had ordered a nice dinner and a bottle of wine.
“(Y/N), I must express how glad I am that you accepted my offer. Please tell me about yourself.”
“Oh, General-“
“Please, call me Armitage.”
“Armitage, there isn’t much to me. I grew up on a small planet, I trained with the Force for a short time, and then I joined the Resistance. Honestly, because I didn’t know what else to do.”
“I see. I suppose there isn’t much to me either. My father was a General. I attended the Academy before becoming an officer myself. I worked my way up the ranks fairly quickly.”
Armitage continued with small talk, coaxing answers out of you. You learned a little bit about the man before you and began to think that maybe a new life wouldn’t be so bad. The resistence did nothing but remind you of Ben, as you work under his mother. Perhaps removing yourself from that could help you to heal. Having a family, though not in the most conventional way, sounded nice.
As the two of you settled in for the night, you made yourself comfortable. You blushed as Hux climbed into bed next to you. He left space in between the two of you, in an effort to make sure you were comfortable.
“Good night, (Y/N).”
“Good night,” you returned quietly.
Kylo returned from his mission late that same night. As soon as his ship landed on the base, he felt a familiar shift in the Force and his heart nearly dropped at the recognition. He knew you must have been taken prisoner, and his familiarity with Hux’s interrogation tactics did nothing to calm his nerves. When he stepped off of his ship he was greeted by an officer.
“Welcome back, Comm-“
“There’s a prisoner. A girl. Where is she?”
“I’m afraid I don’t know, sir.”
Kylo grunted in frustration as he felt for your presence in the Force. Your signature was weak, like you’d been trying to cut yourself off. He made his way down various halls until he stood in front of the door to General Hux’s chambers. He stood confused for a moment, before he entered the room. He could make out two forms in the darkness, then he began seeing red as he realized the second person was you. Hux was thrown from the bed and landed on the floor with a thud, waking you from your sleep. You shot up in bed, and noticed Hux on the floor, struggling to stand up. You ran to his side full of concern.
“Armitage, are you okay?” you asked helping him up.
The sound of your voice seemed to ground Kylo a little. He hadn’t heard it in years. Hux ignored you for the moment, moving in between you and Kylo. Your eyes widened as you noticed the large figure in the room, the darkness and your grogginess keeping him hidden until now.
“What’s the meaning of this, Ren?”
You gripped Armitage’s arm in fear.
The man said nothing as he approached you. He simply pushed Hux to the side and picked you up. You fought against his grip, scared for what he might do to you.
“Armitage please help me,” you cried, struggling in Kylo’s arms.
Hux approached you, but Kylo threw him back into a wall before he could even get close. You gasped and beat on his chest.
“Let me go!” you demanded.
Kylo quickly made his way out of the room and into his own. Once there, he put you down. You took the opportunity to scramble away from him and grabbed the nearest thing you could find, a mug. The two of you stood ten feet apart and you eyed him carefully.
“Who the hell are you?” you asked.
He moved toward you, and you raised your arm ready to throw the cup at him. You realized it would probably be useless, but he stopped moving anyway. He slowly moved his hands up to his helmet, your eyes following his every move. You heard a hiss, then he lifted the helmet from his head.
The mug you were holding fell and shattered across the floor. You felt as if the air had been sucked out of your lungs. The world began to collapse in on you as you recognized the man in front of you.
Kylo knew that Hux was the closest thing he had to a friend in the First Order. Of course, he would never ask this unless he absolutely had to, but desperate times. He approached the General, asking to speak with him privately about an important matter.
“Hux, I have a favor to ask you,” Kylo said, pushing aside his pride.
The General only raised his eyebrows.
“As you know, my sister resides here on the base. She has her own room in my quarters.” Hux nodded.
None of this information was new to him. Kylo Ren has a sister, and no one dares to bring her up unless he does first.
“I would appreciate it if,” Ren struggled with this politeness, “If you let her stay in your quarters while I’m away on a mission.”
If Hux wasn’t the professional man he was, his jaw probably would have hit the floor.
“Ren, I have to ask why-“
Kylo was growing impatient. Couldn’t he just say yes and move on with it?
“My sister,” Kylo fished for the right words, “Well, she doesn’t do well with being alone.”
You were a child of war, damaged by tragedy and pain. During the daytime hours, you could busy yourself. Keep your mind distracted. It was the nighttime that haunted you. However, the presence of another helped keep the horrors of the past at bay. Well, for the most part. You slept easier knowing your big brother was just a room away, but with his upcoming mission, you were growing anxious. Of course, Kylo sensed this and promised he’d come up with a solution.
“I see,” Hux began, “Very well. How long will you be gone?”
“Three nights.”
“Okay, I will have it arranged,” Hux said before turning on his heel.
“General,” Kylo stopped him, “Thank you.”
Hux mumbled a reply before walking off. He had met you on a few occasions, but all he really knew was that you are reserved. He ran a hand through his hair, nervous about what he’d gotten himself into. You were escorted to his room that evening by a pair of stormtroopers. They brought some of your things over to make sure you were comfortable. Once you arrived to his quarters, you were greeted by a small tabby cat and you couldn’t help the smile that appeared on your face. You crouched down, allowing the feline to sniff your hand. She rubbed her head against your palm affectionately.
“Hello there little one. If I would have known you were here, maybe I would have stopped by sooner.”
You stood up, examining the room. It had a studio layout like yours did before you moved into your brothers chambers. It was only seven, but you were very tired and didn’t expect the General to be back soon. He worked long hours just like Kylo. You made your way to the refresher, brushing out your hair and changing before retiring to the couch for the night. It wasn’t so terrible, it was a decent size with large cushions, so you made yourself comfortable as possible. You read part of a novel on your datapad before dozing off. Hux returned a few hours after you’d fallen asleep, though he was confused when Millicent didn’t greet him upon his arrival. Then, his eyes fell on your sleeping form and the small ball of fur curled up against you. He took in your appearance. You were in a nightgown, your hair strewn about. The datapad you’d been reading from was tucked under your arm. Millicent raised her head to look at him, but didn’t move from her spot beside you.
He couldn’t help the feeling that arose in his stomach, you were quite beautiful, after all. Coming back to you curled up with Millicent, waiting for him every night, wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. He pushed those thoughts out of his head as he took off his coat, hanging it on a hook near the door. He gathered his night clothes, heading off toward the refresher. After he changed, he returned to the couch where you were sleeping. He couldn’t just let you sleep on the couch, no, he was a gentleman. Hux gently slid the datapad away from your grip, and picked you up in his arms. You stirred in your sleep, and rested your head in the crook of his neck. He laid you on the bed, pulling the blankets over your body to keep you warm, before turning to head over to the couch.
“No,” he heard you mumble out, “Please stay.”
Hux was taken back at your request, and after a moment he dismissed it. You must have been dreaming after all. He made his way to the couch, sitting next to Millicent.
“I’m happy to see you don’t mind our guest,” he told her, petting her affectionately.
Hux dimmed the lights in the room before making himself comfortable on the couch. He stayed awake for a while, curious to see if you would say anything else in your sleep. Noticing you dreamt with a pained expression, he couldn’t help but be sympathetic. Your situation has to be bad if Kylo would seek him out for help. Hux tried to clear his mind as he decided he needed some sleep.
The man you were staying with was gone before you awoke in the morning. Just like Kylo, back after you fell asleep and gone before you woke up. You sighed as you considered the men’s busy schedule, surely they weren’t getting enough sleep. You were delighted as you realized a small feline was sleeping soundly next to, but it was then you realized you weren’t where you had fallen asleep. For a moment, you wondered if you and the general had shared a bed, but you realized the other side was left undisturbed. You prepared yourself for the day, taking a lengthy shower to relax your nerves. It’s not like you were close with the general, and you certainly did not want to go around embarrassing Kylo in anyway. You continued on with your holopad novel after you’d finished getting ready. You weren’t sure how long you were reading when the chamber doors slid open. You glanced up and realized the general had entered the room.
“Oh, um,” you clamored to your feet which was difficult as Millicent had been resting on your lap, “General,” you lowered your head slightly, trying to be respectful.
“There is no need for that Lady (Y/N). You are my guest, and Armitage will do.”
His voice was steady, but unbeknownst to you, Hux was having a hard time keeping a smile off his face. As he took in your nervous, slightly disheveled figure, he couldn’t help the tug at his lips. He found you charming.
“Well, if we are doing away with formalities, just (Y/N) will do. I want to thank you for letting me stay with you. I hope my brother didn’t bully you into it. I really appreciate your kindness”
Hux chucked at your regard of your brother.
“No bullying was necessary. I hope you are finding yourself comfortable?”
“Oh, yes. Of course. Your cat is the sweetest. I have to ask though, how did I wind up in the bed?”
“Her name is Millicent. She seems to return your affections from what I gather,” his face softened as he spoke fondly of his feline, “And I moved you to the bed after you’d fallen asleep. I hope you don’t mind, it just didn’t seem right to have a guest staying on the couch.”
“That’s very generous of you, but the couch will do just fine. I’m not the one who has a base to run, after all. You need rest,” you told him.
Your concern for Hux took him by surprise. He found himself unsure if he was really talking to the sister of Kylo Ren.
“Nonsense, I’ll be just fine. That aside, would you like to join me for lunch? I usually eat in my quarters.”
You agreed and Hux ordered you both a meal from his datapad. You hadn’t expected Hux to be rude to you, but you also hadn’t expected him to be so amiable. You took in the tall man as he busied himself. He appeared tense as he looked over files, but that didn’t stop you from finding him handsome. You found his sharp jaw and bright eyes quite attractive. You decided to play with Millicent until your food came, but you failed to noticed the way Hux watched you with fondness. He knew that falling for you was the last thing that he should do. Ren would rip him apart if he found out he harbored feelings of affection for his little sister. Nonetheless, Hux found himself struggling to keep his eyes of your frame as you found company in his small companion. It charmed Hux even more that Millicent had taking a liking to you, and you to her. Before long, food arrived, and the two of you say down to eat.
Prompt: You are Yoda’s padawan, and you and Anakin have fallen for each other.. Now, you must save him from the Dark Side.
The first night you had the dream, you figured it must have been a fluke. At the time, it was vague in your memory, the only substantial thing you could remember was Anakin’s glowing yellow eyes. They were menacing, even to your conscious mind, a sign of pure Darkness. When the dream kept happening, however, you grew more concerned. It was becoming more life-like with every night, waking you from your sleep. You decided to confide in your Master, Yoda, once your nighttime dreams began clouding your daytime thoughts. You recounted the dream to him, you remembered it in such a detailed way. You’d been having the same one every night for nearly a month now. Yoda looked at you thoughtfully, eyes twinkling with knowledge.
“Mysterious things, dreams are,” he began, “Hold much meaning, they do.”
You furrowed your brow. How much meaning could this dream truly hold? Anakin was your friend, your lover. You must of known him better than anyone, aside from maybe Master Kenobi. Surely, he would never turn to the Dark side, when the Light had so much to offer him. You trudged back to your chambers, passing Anakin’s on the way. You paused for a moment, but decided to keep going after hearing nothing but silence. Perhaps tomorrow you could talk to Master Kenobi, ask if he has noticed any changes in Anakin. He had been distant lately, but training had been more difficult than ever. You brushed it off as the two of you being exhausted. You stripped out of your day clothes and put on your sleeping garments after you reached your chambers. As you laid down in bed, you considered the situation further. You scolded yourself for not talking to your superiors sooner, no matter how silly it may be. Maybe peace of mind would bring you more restful nights. You considered this being an odd manifestation of you missing Anakin. You two hadn’t spent nearly as much time together as usual. As you laid down, a loud sigh escaped from your mouth. You closed your eyes, and drifted off to sleep.
You woke with a start and realized it was the middle of the night. There was a thin layer of sweat covering your body, and your breathing was rapid. The dream had come again, but this was the worst it had ever been. Deciding that you couldn’t wait to talk to Master Kenobi, you quickly clamored out of bed and set off toward his quarters. As you past Anakin’s chambers, the doors were open which you found alarming. His room was vacant, and you couldn’t help the feeling of dread that overcame you. You tried your best to search out for Anakin’s energy, but once you found it, it was different. Darker. Your feet carried you toward his energy, and you cursed yourself along the way. Finally, your eyes fell upon a hooded figure standing at the entrance to the younglings sector, his lightsaber ignited.
“Anakin,” you called out breathlessly.
He turned to face you, his hood covering most of his face.
“Anakin what are you doing here?” you asked, although you feared you knew the answer.
“Something I should have done a long time ago.”
“What are you talking about. Let’s go back to sleep. It’s very late.”
“No!” he shouted, “I’ve turned away from the Light. It’s power has limits. The Dark side will bring me greatness.”
He pulled back his hood, revealing those same yellow eyes to you.
“Anakin, no, please. You’re wrong. Let me help you,” you begged.
“Foolish girl!” he exclaimed, using the Force to knock you back into a wall.
Pain racked your body as you fell to the floor. You looked at Anakin with a horrified expression. You never thought it could go this far.
“Look what you’ve become,” you sputtered.
Anakin seemed to freeze at your words as he took in what he had done.
“No,” he said quietly.
He approached you and you couldn’t help but cower in fear.
“I am sorry.”
Your eyes widened as he wrapped you in his arms.
“I did this... So I could protect you... So we could be together,” he exclaimed, “but I’ve only hurt you, and now you fear me.”
You placed your hand on his arm.
“Anakin, the Dark side can only cause pain and destruction. Please, we can find another way.”
“I’ll do whatever you ask of me, (Y/N). I’ll never forgive myself for this.”
Prompt: Reader is a force-user and overexerts herself, leaving Poe extremely panicked
It was faint at first, the disturbance in the Force. Your mind could just barely grasp it. You’d been in the middle of a conversation with Poe when your attention was pulled away from him. Whatever this was, it felt wrong. Feelings of dread and imbalance swirled around your head, the light fading away.
“(Y/N)?” you heard your name, but it was distant.
You began to walk away from him, and it was like your body was controlling itself. You needed to feel the Earth beneath your fingertips, anything to help you understand what was happening. You left the base frantically, falling to your knees once you were outside. Your palms connected with the ground, and you felt the grass between your fingers. All you could see was darkness, violence, and death. There was no balance here, no light. There was a pain in your head as you pushed further, trying to find the source. It seemed the more you pushed, the more it pushed back. Poe had followed you outside, watching you with concern as sweat formed on your brow. He placed a hand on your shoulder, but for the moment, you were gone to the world. Lost within the intricacies of the Force. A scream escaped your lips and you struggled to keep yourself upright. You kept pushing though, this was dangerous and you had to know what it was. Poe was shaking you now, a small crowd had gathered around your screaming form. Suddenly, everything went black, but not before you saw a face in your mind: your own.
Poe’s heart threatened to beat out of his chest as he scooped you up in his arms. Your body was limp, your pulse was faint. Poe was yelling at the crowd to get out of his way, but he couldn’t hear himself over the drumming in his ears. He should have done more to bring you back to reality, but that wasn’t an option anymore. Now he had to get you to the nearest medic. He burst into the medbay.
“Someone, please help,” he begged.
He layed you on a bed, trying his best to tell the medics what happened. His mind was racing though, thinking of every possible outcome to this situation, but mostly the worst one. He pulled at his hair as a medic asked him to take a step back. He noticed for the first time that his face was wet with tears.
“Fuck,” he exclaimed, kicking a trashcan into the wall.
He couldn’t lose you, not like this. Not to something he couldn’t even see. The matter was completely out of his control, which tugged at his heart more than anything. He couldn’t protect you, no, not from something he knew nothing about. He was helpless. He slid down the wall, his face in his hands as he tried to control his breathing. Poe wasn’t sure how long he’d been sitting there when a nurse approached him.
“Poe?”
He flinched at her voice, and lifted his head. She didn’t do much to keep the look of pity off her face after meeting his eyes. Poe grimaced.
“Yeah?”
“You can see her now.”
Poe scrambled to his feet and followed the nurse who wasn’t walking fast enough for him. She pulled back the curtain, revealing you to Poe. He stopped in his tracks as he took in your form. Your face was a ghastly shade of white, nearly matching the sheets of the medbay. Poe approached you slowly, the nurse now gone, and sat in a chair next to your bed. He placed his hand on your leg and let out a breath as he looked at your heart rate moniter. The steady beat was keeping him sane.
“(Y/N)...” he trailed off, trying to find the words, “I don’t know what I would do without you, so you have to push through this. I know the Force is strong, but you’re stronger.”
A small smile graced his lips as he thought about you and your fiery attitude. He rubbed his thumb in circles on your thigh. He sat there for a while, a few people stopping by to see how you were doing. No one stayed long. Poe’s usual confidant, rugged appearance was gone now, replaced by fear and anixety. It made them uncomfortable to see a man like him in such a moment of weakness. It was like his feelings began to rub off on them if they stayed around too long.
When you woke, it was with a gasp. You shot straight up in bed, nearly knocking into Poe who had been hovering close to your body. You grabbed his arm for support, your head feeling dizzy.
“Poe?” you asked, your eyes still adjusting to the bright light.
“Hey sweetheart,” he greeted softly.
When you could finally focus on his face, your heart nearly stopped. His hair was disheveled, his eyes puffy and bright red.
“Poe,” you started, “are you okay?”
“Darling, I’m not the one in a hospital bed. I’m alright, just worried about you,” he paused, “how are you feeling?”
You pressed your hand to your forehead.
“My head’s killing me,” you confessed.
He frowned at this.
“I’m sure you’ll feel better after a little rest,” he offered.
You nodded and sighed.
“I’m sorry.”
“You don’t have any reason to be sorry,” he told you.
“I should of had more control,” you shook your head.
“No, no. This isn’t your fault,” he said grabbing your hand, “All that matters is you’re okay.”
You didn’t respond, instead you rested your head on his shoulder. You took a deep breath, trying to relax.
“I really do need you,” Poe started quietly, “For a moment, I thought that maybe I’d lose you. I can’t even explain what that felt like.”
You squeezed his hand to reassure him, pressing yourself a little closer to him.
