Im regards to the Morgana Villainess Regression AU I've been writing some random little bits and bobs, while the scenes aren't edited and such I figured id occasionally post bits on here. So here's one for anyone interested.
As it turns out, depictions of medieval warfare in the 21st century is still not near as awful as one would think. Not because of the blood or gore, that's the expected part, but the smell of rotting corpses and infections is what never got depicted. I guess thats why smell-o-vision never took off as an idea, the sorceress thought to herself, it definitely smells worse than that box of meat someone forgot next to the backdoor that one night at work.
Bodies were strewn across the field, painting the landscape in Camelot red and random shades of the militia Morgause brought, accented morbidly by the pockets of fire and dimming daylight. It made her think of old impressionist paintings with how the lighting seemed to smear the colors together, or maybe that was the fatigue catching up with her. Maybe even grief over the loss of so many lives despite her best efforts to prevent the events of her visions.
It's in this moment, Morgana is reminded of a few movies and shows she watched when she was a teenager, where a character world do what they could to prevent a certain future from coming to be, yet causing it to happen due to the actions taken to prevent it. Considering the events of the day, maybe those stories had a point.
Said point being that one should parse out if they're the one weaving the tapestry of that fate or if you're one of the many threads being woven into it.
Either way, fates tapestry is a bitch
