He was new to the island, far too new for some likings, but never the less, he was a deputy. After dodging questions from concerned residents and tourists all day after the storm, he heard barking only to look up and see... Winnie? and another figure approaching. "You found her, huh?" He was happy to know that at least.

It would seem the dog wouldn't leave her place for the time being, but at least most of her concerns were finally over. Like the storm vanishing she felt her own inner clouds freeing her. Yet more people kept asking questions, like after all her attempts to get them to do something, now were they concerned?

"Yes, no thanks to your kind anyway." Ahri said before going down to pet the newly found dog, "Poor thing had some rough time, but she seems unharmed and well."

He supposed he could see the logic in her line of thought, and yet still it was confusing to say the least why that would be her first line of thought. Though really, from the sounds of it this was a tunnel between the two, and now he had more questions about why this was here in the first place. Perhaps something back from centuries ago.

"People just want to go home" least he did, because then he could least see if the rest of his family went home, and he could work things out from there. No, for now he had to believe they were all fine, and all safe. Anything else could wait. "The town hall. Guess this at least means people can check in on their loved ones if have no signal" that was a start if nothing else. Try and think logically, that was all he could do today.

He shrugged, alright she was right but it was all so weird. But a lot of things around here were weird right now it was a lot to take in. He moved forward, taking it to see if it rang any bells. "No, means nothing to me. Might have been left down here with whoever last came through I suppose. But..." but there was something eerie about it. Strange, very strange.

"Don't we all in the end?" she stated while looking at the card, a furrow in her brows deepened once the man revealed his location. A tunnel between the library and the town hall? "Yeah they could." Rose replied almost automatically, her mind going crazy with this discovery. Why these places out of all? What mysteries Bar Harbor held? And above all, why?

"That would be very unlikely, don't you think?" Rose said looking straight at the man's eyes, he was young - well for an old vampire like her - and seemed like the kind of human who denied that which surrounded him in order to keep his mundane life.

"Well, what do we know with this? The unlikely option you shared is one, perhaps the upperhands in Town Hall are hiding more than 'normal' leaders is two, maybe this is just a cult thing, could be three..." she began to theorize, "What is certain, is maybe, this wasn't a coincidence and we probably were allowed to find this...Just a though anyway."

"Live under?" that wasn't what he was expecting her to say. "No I live in a house above ground" and what a strange conversation. Perhaps he might realise the actual conversation under normal circumstances but he was caught slightly off-guard by it, and the mysterious card on the floor, had that been there the whole time?

That was when he realised what she had said. "Did you say the library?" he'd just assume she had come through the same way he had, but that had all been sealed up when he had found it. "Is that where you came from?" what exactly was this place?

He supposed she was right, though right now it was his relationship that was giving him a headache. He needed to try not to think about that right now, this was more important, least he needed to pretend to be.

"Is that yours?" he asked, gesturing to the unknown item.

"Oh, not so weird then" she said almost in a whisper, not like she was afraid but it was good she didn't had to keep her guard up, a human was just that in the end.

Rose turned with an arched brow to his followed questions, she looked back at the way she came from before facing the man. She'd supposed it either led you to a new chamber as it was common in old architecture, but this was more interesting, tunnels were popular back in her days as well.

"Yes, everyone is growing quite...anxious, more like...desperate. Just fun times." she explained though she knew he wasn't hiding in the same place, a smile of curiosity crossed her pale face, "Why, where do you com from?"

Then she eyes at the card between them, "Of course not, we clearly just arrived at the same time. Odd, a bit." she took the card, knitted her brows and offered it at him to have a better look as well, "I'm a tourist so I lack Bar Harbor's history and legends, does it mean anything to you?"

Everyone began to go wild, surrounding a strange card that appeared almost, magically. All Ahri could see was the face of that old lady, it annoyed her that whoever was behind this, obviously thought it was fun and games. The fairy wasn't fond of humans, she didn't even showed her respects when the news of her death came in, but now...she believed it was crossing some limits.

The rain poured as loud as the echo of the people in the Town Hall, she eyed at the nearest window, perhaps that card was her final sign? Nothing that a good distraction and a little pixie dust can't deal. Her eyes found the faces of those who were daring enough to approach her earlier, lowkey she looked forward to see them in better circumstances. They were after all, interesting enough.

This is how, the young fae sneaked away from the crowds, threw a little dust to a few here and there, and Ahri decided to face the storm. She was one with nature, she could handle this, but those scared ones...They needed support, and she, will find that dog.

With no word from Clarissa he was getting worried. He'd managed to get texts through from River, although he assumed that Clarissa had gone to the library. She had to be there surely. There was no point panicking if she was completely fine, that wouldn't do anyone any good. Still, he had been practically staring a hole into his phone, as if that would mean he received a text or anything faster.

Eventually he had started walking, no one really seemed to be paying any attention and he had started walking through places usually kept out of bounds. Well he wasn't really paying attention, and no one else seemed to care. That was until he walked into some small office, clearly not one ever used anymore for much other than storage, and old desk, with a computer that was outdated even in the nineties.

Out of habit he had walked over to the bookshelf, looking at the names of the books. Well he hadn't gone into his line of work without having an interest. And that was when something truly bizarre happened, and he was looking at a tunnel. Well, that was unexpected.

Checking hid phone's battery, and satisfied he had plenty left, he turned on the torch. Walking slowly down, curiosity he supposed, and a distraction from the lack of messages. He wasn't sure how long he'd been walking for when he saw someone in the light. "Hello?" this was strange, she didn't seem to have any light.

What a lucky night! Even Rose surprised herself with such thoughts, the man before her, seemed very cautious but even with the light he brought she could see the features he had perfectly, if only she didn't looked like someone that could send him to jail in this era. Anyhow, she focused once again, raised a hand and smiled almost awkwardly.

"Hello there." she said while approaching, "You don't happen to live here under the library do you?" she asked before noticing the card just between them, "With...exotic esoteric hobbies perhaps? "

A hidden cave below the library, this was obviously something made years, perhaps centuries ago, she passed a few fingers over the stone around them quickly before paying full attention to the...human before her.

"I mean solitude can be comforting true...but still, humans do need relationships and things..."

Natalia frowned at the younger looking girl. “And who said I was trying to look like a pathetic little human?” She scoffed at the mere thought of comparing herself to a mouth-breather who needs to constantly move at all times. Even as a human herself, back in the olden days, she despised her corruptible state, the way she knew she could die at any given moment because she was just so… soft. Being an impenetrable living statue of marble was far more desirable to her, nor did she care to expose herself as such. After all, her father and step mother were known as the vampire king and queen of a small kingdom, and they ruled with an iron fist with their mortal subjects knowing they were inferior to them. “You ought to try being proud to be a superior being… and if you insist on blending in with commoners, it’s not entirely necessary here. Even most humans are aware of the supernatural on this island, so I’ve come to learn.”

Raising her brows and smirking, Rose listened carefully at the other, 'Funny indeed', she thought. There was quite a young spark in the other vampire, as there was on many who had a few centuries alive.

"And, who says I'm not?" she spoke calmly, held her posture confidently, tilting her head slightly at mention of 'commoners', only those of high status ever spoke like that, but even they fell through the centuries.

"I do agree, this place has been nothing but a pandora box full of surprises, some pleasant and some not so much. However, you don't get to live as many centuries out of pride, many fall for less." she stated walking around taking a random book of the nearest shelf and instantly putting it back, no wonder it was hidden no one would want to read something so boring like that when there were better choices a few shelves back.

"Besides, tell me princess, where's the real fun when the other player knows everything about the game?"

He'd been called many things over the years, interesting was one of his favourites and one that came up a lot. It was one of the less insulting ones anyway sometimes. Though really he knew that one could be backhanded. It usually only got used if he showed his true nature, normally he was just told he was an arsehole. Probably true, but he had lived too long, and been hunted partly for what he was, partly for who he was. It was difficult to remain kind after all that.

"So I've been told" he replied with a shrug. "Sometimes it is, but we're in a building full of people, if anyone tries anything in here then it is everyone's business. Call it the safest place on the island for more than one reasons" and also the worst place to be. The temptation to just walk out into the storm remained.

Her heart was beating fast, this was at least entertaining if nothing else. Though as she got closer, the smell definitely was familiar, and he couldn't place it. That was irritating, his memory must be going. "Hardly anything exciting, got stuck on this island after the church exploded. No family, got lucky with the stock market so can travel around" well that wasn't totally true, apparently he had family... he wasn't going to talk to a stranger about that. "Your turn".

"Town hall or not, people still like to get in other's business without permission." A smirk appeared shortly on her face, now he told jokes, at least dark humor might connect them somehow.

"Maybe safe for the present ones, yet not everyone is here. And even those who are here, is safety truly guaranteed? There are many lurkers in the shadows growing anxious, desperate...hungry." Besides there were many annoying humans, somehow the storm felt like the better choice.

Ahri stared directly at the eyes of the man as he spoke, fascinating, she could learn that from him. Detailed, confident, and sneaky. The fairy smiled once again, this time mischievously, he couldn't be a human, she was enjoying this. "From a storyteller to another, nice story. Almost too perfect, exact, straight to the point. I could even offer an applause." and she did, just one.

"Fine, if you're so eager, I'll tell. But, beforehand, promise it. Do you know how to keep a secret?"

It had been a few hours of mixing with the people around town, even some tourists, and the obvious other creatures, the storm didn't seem to fade anytime soon. The whole, playing fool ignorant and worst of, youngster grew tiresome, and so Rose decided to wander off yet again around the library. There were some very interesting themes and series of books, she'd read many of them, some she ignored due to the lack of reliability on certain events.

A pale hand run over the book covers and shelves, humming a melody of old, one that has been her companion, certain of even before her rebirth. Lost in it, she didn't realize how deep into the library she walked, the place was getting darker, though her vampiric vision didn't gave her any trouble. Then, she felt it. A bookcase that didn't felt like the other ones, with furrowed brows she checked it, investigated it, and to her surprise, a shelf bookcase became a door.

Rose turned around, there was no one nearby, at least yet, she'd seen many of these traps before in her lifetime, and they always led to something more. The vampire wanted to find out what was that more.

"Finally something fun huh?" she smirked as she walked inside what looked like a hidden tunnel perhaps? "Just what are you for?" she said mainly to herself, walking for an unknown time, stopping only when she sensed and if her hearing was correct, Rose wasn't alone anymore.

Interesting, her heart was beating faster. Perhaps not fear, but there was something there. Well that made it a little easier to tell that he was on the right track with this, so what actually was happening he didn't know. Oh but he wanted to find out, if only because this was about the only interesting thing here. Trapped inside a building for who knows how long, he had to do something. Wasn't like he could hook up with anyone, whole thing was far too public.

He nodded a little, it was a cute story, but it was very obviously a story. "Interesting... but I didn't ask who you were, I asked what you were" and that was different. Who he was was just some man most people didn't like, what he was, that was something else completely.

"Pretty story, I'll give you that" perhaps it was true, he didn't really care about the history of it. That had never been interesting to him really. "I'm not interested particularly, this whole thing is just boring, and this is the most interesting thing I've found so far".

Ahri could feel her pulse raising and listen her heart on his ears, this man...Was no fool. The fairy remembered her recent movements, trying to find a piece of imperfections, something she missed, was it...Her persistence with a dog she doesn't even know? As a creature of nature and magic it was in her DNA, since she was born.

The ebony haired eyed him as he spoke, to be fair, he didn't sound like many men around. "You are an interesting one, I must say." A smirk crossed her features, a part of her felt proud of being a cause of interest.

"Whatever you sir may think to know, sometimes is better to not get too involved. Believe me, at best case scenario someone might get hurt." There were many other kind of beings in the world, but hers were...Taken away from this realm and only recently freed. Maybe they could bring a little attention to those who missed their existence. She released an exhale she held and walked cautiously towards the other to whisper close to him, "How about this? I tell you if you tell me first about you...stranger?"

“Oh, of course, madame,” Alexander offered with a small bow of his head as the bottle was returned to its rightful owner. He took yet another sip of the wine before placing it on the floor in front of the couch, making it public property between the two of them. They had already shared it, and he thought it unnecessary to make her ask for permission each time, would she decide that she wanted more. May it act as an olive branch, came the time that he annoyed her to such a degree that a peace offering would be necessary. 

He could not make sense of her, but he found her amusing. Much better than sitting alone and feeling sorry for yourself, as a matter of fact. She had an odd way about her, though. He looked at her, one eyebrow arched in question. “I will talk, yes. You may listen if you care to, or shut me out. Though if you choose the latter, don’t make it obvious, as it would hurt my feelings. Sushi?”

Rose eyed his movements, arching a brow in both surprise and curiosity over the wine bottle as it was presented as a peace offering. A devious smile crossed her features, nodding respectfully in a reply to his little bow.

A little chuckle escaped her lips, of course there was an emphasis on the sushi bit. "Well, that's what I hear every rich guy likes to buy to any pretty and young face they meet anyway." she spoke calmly, deciding to play along with the whole facade of just a young tourist, "Are you a local or just came here for a luxurious vacation?"

There was a slightly awkward beat when the young girl approached her, almost as though a look of recognition had flickered across her face. Penny felt the same way, that somewhere she'd seen the face of the beautiful girl stood before her...only she couldn't place where.

"You seriously think they'd do something like this...for fun?" Her blue eyes widened, shining in the dim light of the candles that had been placed around in lack of electricity. "Fuck me." She said with a laugh.

The vampire shrugged offering an innocent smile, as if ignorance was something she lived in, though this meeting was bizarre, there was no way the woman was the same person from all those centuries ago, the same soul and face maybe. She chuckled with her, it was almost natural, "Right?"

The purity of her mortality and a soul meant to forget, was just the same of a curse like those who lived in the night shared.

"I mean, when you have all the power of the world, nothing to lose, nothing to gain...Just an eternal wandering there can come boredom and indifference with it, because who could defy them right?" Rose looked back at the woman, glad to see her breathing, "So what's a little snap to bring a little chaos to the mortals left and entertain themselves?"

“As I remember it, there was no deal. I simply asked you to sit and you obliged. Here, though. Out of the pure goodness of my heart.” Alexander took another sip out of the bottle before handing it over to the woman next to him, tired of this particular game and ready to start a new one. He felt restless. Something about the way she was observing him felt off. As if she was searching for something. He had an inkling as to what she could be sensing, though did not want to think further of what the purpose of it was. He became unusually aware of the feeling of the pendant against his chest, tucked under his shirt.

The vampire offered another condescending smile as he spoke, after so many centuries there were still men like him, she'd killed for less in the past, right now, it was pure entertainment really. Although she was surprised he did offered a bit of his precious liquor, to be honest she really needed it.

"My hero." she stated before taking a good sip of the drink, perhaps even competing with his, exposing her neck while doing so. As she stopped, she inhaled deeply, trying to lower the voice of the killer inside of her. Something that wasn't so easy, for the smell of being alert and nervous coming from the man was far more exciting. "Thank you, feisty one." she said giving the bottle back to him, "What happens now? Casual talk, mostly coming from you while...Having sushi?"

This was all so irritant. Surrounded by humans, and it wasn't like he could even eat. Would likely cause more chaos if he drank from someone, and he had never been one to have any sort of reputation. Keep in the shadows, it was easier like that. He didn't need to be feared, it likely would just make things harder, he didn't want anything from humans, not anymore.

The girl was curious though. Her scent was wrong, and not one he recognised off the top of his head. Not human, he knew that much. But she also didn't smell like a mermaid or werewolf. There were other beings, he knew that too, but not many seemed to be on this island, not that he had run into yet. Or perhaps humans were just so obnoxious, he couldn't get close.

Interesting though, she seemed to want out. He could understand that, but this was no jail, if she was that desperate, she could walk out the front door. "Not blankets I'm interested in... thankfully for you, that's a picture of some former mayor" or something like that. "You tell me... I'm trying to figure out exactly what you are".

Another unfamiliar face, another man as well. The fairy eyed him, curious he did not needed a blanket either. His features were strong, his eyes curious, yet he looked approachable. Which of course made her to be alert.

"Funny." However ... Ahri turned to face the other entirely, sure he was a curious one, and quite straightforward about it, part of her was annoyed, a human dared to figure her out? He did stated 'what' instead of 'who', she can't say she didn't feel threatened. In spite of trying to keep her distance with others she tried her best not to let anyone know what she was, the last time it was revealed it caused a ruckus.

Did she made a mistake that revealed part of her nature?

"Who I am? Why would you even be interested?" Hopefully not for dissecting, she tried to divert the subject to keep her appearance, "I'm just ...a normal citizen in an exotic Island. Have been for years now...Not much to tell"

"Tsk" Ahri raised her eyes to meet a random newcomer with quite an interesting story, she tilted her head in curiosity, however she was still annoyed for someone interrupting her train of thought. "Maybe the iguana is just running away from you, and you keep destroying it's plans and hopes, confiding it in a life the iguana doesn't want."

He had been looking for a way to leave for not so obvious reasons without suspicions being raised. There were plenty tourists and his face wasn't anything special. Roman hadn't made much in the way of friends on the island, other than reconnecting with a mermaid who'd helped save his human crew once upon a moon ago, nor had he made real enemies who'd care if he were to vanish. The goal in question would be sneaking past the door patrol determined to keep everyone inside the town hall; gather for safety issues but Roman would be fine braving a storm such as this. He had done so before just fine.

So in his search, he neared a figure who seemed... somewhat annoyed perhaps? Whether at his presence or the storm. It didn't really matter. Either one seemed equally fitting at the moment. "I don't need a blanket." Roman admitted somewhat sharply, dark eyes almost the color of coal, meeting hers. He couldn't remember a time in the last five hundred or so years in which he felt cold much less covered up unless prompted so as to not reveal himself a mortal fraud. "Just passing through." Just looking for a window or door that he could slip through.

Turning heads he found a face she didn't recognized , perhaps one of the tourists, or one of the many humans she tends to ignore. His eyes, while dark, didn't look evil. His voice while sharp, it was the most honest tone she'd heard in the past weeks. At least the man offered that, but again, sincerity and honesty was something so frail and weak amongst humans, specially men.

Ahri chuckled at the end of his words, "Well, there's not many paths you can explore right now, correct?" she said looking back at the storm, her heartbeat accelerating and growing nervous at the thought of those outside. "What do you need then?" she turned towards the man, "If a blanket is not it, that matter doesn't discard the fact that there is something, isn't it?" Maybe that way she can guide him with whomever might provide him such help... And perhaps starting her escape plan.

How did she came here? You'd think it was the storm, but really, just a few moments ago, the notice of the shelters was revealed, people freaked out and unfortunately Ahri wasn't that tall. In the panic she ended up dragged all the way to the town hall. Not only she had to wait, she also had to share the same space with humans! Worst of all? Winnie was clearly out there.

'Not to mention the birds and all the other animals who are seeking shelter on places that might go down.'

The ebony haired fairy was already working in her escape plan, but until then, she stared with furrowed brows towards a window, trying to avoid as many strangers as she could to no avail. Internally blaming witches or whoever was behind this storm.

Then, those close footsteps. "I heard there are blankets somewhere over there". the fairy pointed at a random wall, her head didn't had space over trivialities, "Other than that, what is it?"

Penny had already used the few bags of liquor she'd managed to grab from the bar to set up behind the book checkout counter, pouring shots of whiskey for those who needed a bit of liquid courage. She took a quick shot of her own, moving infront of the counter. "Bar's closed for now guys, we don't need y'all getting all roudy and beatin' the shit out of eachother." She narrowed her eyes at some regulars who were known for stirring up trouble.

"I've never seen a storm like this - ever. If there are Gods, they're pissed about something."

Quietly and stylishly, Rose made her way amongst the crowd of a few drunks and stinky men. Eyeing at anyone who dared to throw fists at a moment like this.

The young blonde though, was very thoughtful on thinking over such details. Once she was close enough to see her face, the vampire had to stop at her tracks abruptly. Rose never has lived enough lifetimes to come across certain sketches, rough waves and a couple of melancholic broken hearts.

"Yeah...Well..." the young looking vampire began to talk upon noticing she perhaps was taking too long, heading to rest her elbows over the counter, "You'd be surprise to see how cruel gods, and those who believe they are one could be. This..." she pointed at the roof and made circles in the air with her index finger, "...Looks more like a whim if you ask me."
