you know what’s really irritating

when male academics constantly refer to men by their surnames and women by their first names

like you’d never go to a lecture expecting shakespeare to be referred to as “william” but it’s not at all uncommon to sit through an entire lecture in which jane austen is referred to constantly as “jane”

it’s such a petty thing but it just really rubs me the wrong way, like it has a real suggestion of respect and admiration/lack thereof

I…kinda like this one? It’s my first time attempting, like, painted skin. I can see a lot of problems (as usual!) but it came out better than I expected. I don’t know what I’m doing with paint tools though.

The notes in the background are from photos I took of Holtzmann’s lab at Madame Tussaud’s.

Anyway, this was inspired by the amazing poem that @amberrockstar wrote for the Ghostbusters zine, which is getting a little further along every day.
