What PB really needs to release is a lawyer book. Think Suits. How to Get Away with Murder without the murder (or maybe with it). You could have:

An MC established in her career as a lawyer.

MC: in her thirties; sarcastic; has a cat; ex divorced her because she’s a workaholic (ex can be male or female)

MC wants to get promoted to junior partner.

Takes place in Boston or NYC. Think one of those firms that only hires Harvard grads.

First LI: MC’s competition for that promotion (male); charming; witty; went to law school with MC and is friends with her

Second LI: managing (or senior) partner of the firm (female); intelligent, antisocial, ambitious

Third LI: paralegal (male); lovable goofball; isn’t really passionate about law; wants to be a comedian or something like that; maybe the second LIs son or nephew

Fourth LI: assistant for MC (female); MC’s life would fall apart without them; organized; always has candy on her desk

Because all the LIs work in the same place, the amount of time spent with each one is balanced.

MC and the firm are dealing with a large case. Instead of your success being determined by the amount of diamonds you spend, it’ll be determined by your knowledge and skill. There will be a meter at the top determining how “strong” your case is.
