And I’m holding on tight to you
IT'S 1ST OF DECEMBER, DO Y'ALL KNOW WHAT DOES IT MEAN? IT'S TIME TO LISTEN TO THIS MASTERPIECE UNTIL IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!!
Idina's voice is soooo beautiful in this song omg, god bless that woman
So yeah, yesterday I watched Frozen at the cinema and WOW! Watching it with a big screen is in front of you is amazing, the graphic of this film is really something else...I wish I could watch it 4829239 times, it would never be enough😣
I took this pic because this is one of my fav scenes..Look at them, they're so precious😍😭 Family hugs are the best❤
As much as I love the shipwreck scene, one thing I do hate about it is how Anna has to shove her own grief and horror aside for Elsa’s sake.
Those were her parents too that she just witnessed dying through a memory made of ice, but she had to put on a brave face for Elsa.
And don’t even dare come at me with that “who had it worse“ bullshit.
In Frozen 2 creators went out of their way to show Elsa as epitome of introvert and Anna as epitome of extrovert, with all consequences. The shipwreck scene is a pinnacle of this approach. When they see the ice sculpture of their parents, they have very different reactions: Elsa “I” hugs herself while Anna “we” immediately goes to Elsa to hug/touch her. Anna seeks comfort in giving comfort, as a people person she looks for connection with other people, in this scene specifically with her sister, during traumatic experience. Elsa does what introverts usually do when experiencing trauma, she tries to isolate herself and go through her feelings alone.
What happens next is continuation of this dynamics. I don’t think Anna is shoving her own grief and horror, yes, she supports her sister and tries to find a way to make the gravity of situation less grave, but this is how extroverts usually react: they focus on other people what helps to deal with their own feelings. And since indeed Elsa, not Anna, was an indirect cause of their parents death, Elsa is the focus of Anna’s attention. We have seen this dynamics before, for example in a scene that brought us a ton of memes:
While it is all fun and giggles, it settles how any exchange of arguments ends between the sisters. No matter what arguments Elsa uses (I have powers to protect me, you don’t) Anna will always find counter-arguments that will demolish Elsa’s ones (I have no powers but I am more than capable to take care of myself). So instead of finding new arguments Elsa does an introvert thing: stops arguing and does what Anna wants. Except that this time Anna’s life is in the line so instead of wasting time on an argument she would lose anyway, finally she does what Elsa wants (Anna alive), and not what Anna wants (Elsa alive), of course again in the introvert style.
Anna and Elsa’s behavior in this scene is not a competition of who had it worse. It shows dynamics between two sisters that are very different but love each other more than life.
Listening to “Show Yourself” before watching Frozen II
Watching/listening to/thinking about “Show Yourself” after seeing Frozen II
OKAY THAT WAS DEFINITELY ME AHAHAH
It’s really interesting how in F1 Elsa tried to protect Anna by staying as far away as possible. But in F2 Anna tried to protect Elsa by staying as close as possible. It’s so in character and a beautiful parallel.
Though, both times the other ended up dying, anyway… lol.
''don't jump into conclusions''
me:
Elsa’s dad: conseal, don’t feel, don’t let it show.
Elsa’s mom: show yourself, step into your power.
THE POWER THIS HAS
This is why she’s the one who showed up in Ahtohallan to welcome Elsa, and not him.
once you start looking for them, there are sooooo many similarities and references between these two movies
Home.
STOPPPP😭🤧
cause of death: Anna’s little jump before leaping off to hug Elsa
That moment when someone doesn’t agree with your ship.
Literally me with my ships lmao
We should talk more about this
Seriously one of the thing i love most with Elsa is that
she can be a total boastful nerd
but also very insecure about herself
like, very VERY insecure about herself
heart filled with anxiety because of a traumatic childhood memory
but in the same time
she’s such a caring sweetheart
full of attention and love
but also a huge bitchy dork
and an actual giant mess at times
and also has a obsessive perfection disorder
and all of those things make her so incredibly accurate and very relatable
that i seriously am close to sob everytime i realize Walt Disney Animation Studios built her as a strong female character
because hell yes we can have anxiety, angst and be perfectionist and have disorders about that and still admirably rule a goddamn kingdom at 21 freaking years old
Disney is full of amazing women characters but oh boy, Elsa is one of those i could bow to her importance
look at Anna on the left ready to jump into fire to save her sister :(
When it comes to Elsa, Anna is ready to risk it all just for her😭
Come, my darling, howard bound...
Me: I AM FOOOUUUNNNNDDDDDDDDDD!!!
If this isn't a mood after watching the movie🤷🏻♀️ like i'm obsessed with Show yourself, i wake up in the morning and my brain starts playing the song inside my head...we stan
