I just watched the trailer for a film called American Romance and it struck me how much this actress resembled Cass. I still want her to be played by a trans actress if WicDiv is ever made into a  show but fancastings are still fun.

Day 6: Favorite Quote

Sometimes, a comic really benefits from a small break in the drama. WicDiv is one of those comics. From shameless shirtless Baph and Morrigan’s karaoke moment, I find myself still coming back to this panel. The preservation of Cass’ cynicism. The pose. The amount of truth in a phrase like, “I wouldn’t trust half of you to turn bread into toast.” And the moment of realization when you notice Cass still does not consider herself part of the Pantheon.

10 - Favorite performance

I love the black and white and I love the feeling the page gives you. It’s not a fun performance like Sakhmet or Amaterasu. It’s dark and depressing. And it works that way as a reminder of the bad times to come.

2- Favorite female character

As much as I love the Morrigan and her aesthetic, and as much as I love Laura/Persephone, Cass is my favorite. Her degree? Basically what I would have done in a universe like Wicdiv. She’s abrasive and right and no one listens to her. She is the eternal skeptic and she can’t believe no one sees it. No one else sees the con job these “gods” are pulling. And even when she is deified, she still rails against it – “It’s still bullshit, even if everything is true.”  I love her.

The Norns - Aquarius and Gemini

The norms in Norse Mythology is a group of female beings that rule the destiny of men and gods. Urd represents the past, Skuld the future and Verdandi the present.

In the comics Urd is Cassandra a sceptic journalist that has an eye on the pantheon, she’s highly intellectual and scoially aware being the one to always see right through everyone elses’ bias. Aquarius identifies with the greater scheme of things and Cassandra’s view of the world. While Gemini can be associated to her due to her quick wit and temper.
