i realized something recently. about society and jobs. it's just a job. for the most part, dream jobs don't exist. humans can be good at literally almost anything if they learn, so i don't think it's necessarily always true that each person has to find the job they're suited for and only do that. people are well suited to a lot of things. at this point, the way modern society is, we all just need a job to support existing the way we want to in the best way we can at the time. not to say don't have dreams and goals to do what you want, but it can be discouraging for those who can't reach those goals for whatever reason. life is not linear, it is circular. phases of things can be good for a time until it's time for something else, but that doesn't mean you can't return to that cycle at another time. there's no fucking rules here.

i don’t know how i made you fall in love with me when all i did was be your friend i didn’t realize that caring for a person and becoming close to someone you enjoy spending time with who is like you who understands you means love i know that it can and that it does and its normal and fine but how is it my fault that you fell in love with me without me knowing because all i thought i was doing was becoming your best friend did i lead you on by treating you like a person and treating you kindly like everyone should be because if so maybe next time i should be mean maybe the cliche that boys and girls can’t be best friends is true i love how i thought you wouldn’t be like them because you were different from all the rest but i realized you’re the same you just lie to yourself because everyone compliments you on how you aren’t a fuckboy but i’m sorry to say that you just hide it below the surface i’m sorry that i couldn’t be honest with you how it’s made me be the indecisive bitch who broke your heart because i chose to be that than hurt you with the truth that you so desperately crave but don’t really want forgive me dear for hurting you with lies that weren’t intended to be malicious they’re for your own good because i do care its not because i don’t but forgive me dear for thinking you would take it like the man i thought you were instead of the boy i wish i didn’t know

you know when someone says something absolutely funny and you get a hot laugh where your face turns red and you feel the blood rush to your cheeks and your lips grin so widely that it almost hurts and giggles erupt from the center of your belly like a flowery volcano and nobody's seen this much of your teeth in ages and you can't inhale but its the best kind of breathless

i have so much emotion deep within that i am afraid to show so it bubbles up and up and up like a mountain overtaken with snow one day i’ll have this avalanche bursting at the seams for now it flows aimlessly and ribbons in my dreams i do not want to overwhelm others with feelings so big and wide i wrap in up in a pink flower bow and tuck in well inside everyone sees the flower bow and then they ask me why am i so loud and happy all the time do i get mad, or sad, do i cry? the answer that i have for them is that i don’t know how but truly if i was anything but i would never leave my house — i am not happy today is a sad day | 5th feb 2017

Not all toxic people are cruel and uncaring. Some of them love us dearly. Many of them have good intentions. Most are toxic to our being simply because their needs and way of existing in the world force us to compromise ourselves and our happiness. once upon a time a girl who never used to care began to care a lot. the girl began as a carefree flower bloomed in glorious technicolor, but then the villains. the first came and told her the fuzz of her stems were ugly so she scrubbed the fuzz away to a polished surface, is this what pretty is? next they asked why the base of her petals turned different colors, and said how the speckles dotted across ruined a pristine look, here, they said, this paint will fix your imperfections that she did not know she had, but she took the paint. then they said her shape did not a perfect flower make, perhaps if she bent this way, or pluck a leaf off over there, and grow a little taller but not too tall, until she was a pretzel, this is what is pretty? they shaved away her thorns, her petals molded her stems given itchy glitter her leaves trimmed but why? until, the awakening. for finally she saw herself, a rigid but shining rose, but nobody noticed her more because of her perfect painted pose, and was that shine tears? she wondered why her natural state was hidden with such disdain for she remembered there was once a day she did not have to look this way. she unmolded her posture and grew back all the fuzz, her pollen sprinkled everywhere like the posy she once was. this is what pretty is she may not be as lovely as the flowers you always buy but next time you're in the meadow, she might just catch your eye.

glowy pink salt lamps ice cold glasses of water funky eyeglasses fresh air with a hint of green curly cursive signatures golden sunlight through green-veined leaves pillows that smell like home fudge brownies dancing to the best music i've ever heard in my life a flowy skirt that can be worn with anything harmonizing to quietly hypnotizing songs the first bite into a crisp green apple the listless way the wind blows smelling dinner cooking in the oven and it reminds me that i'm hungry enveloping hugs from people i love the warm pull of sleep freshly painted toenails climbing trees and watching the world passing me by from above bunny rabbits and the way they twitch their noses crooked teeth flying underwater like a bird swimming in air messy buns a sweet kiss from a dog who wants to be friends inhaling and exhaling and inhaling and exhaling the never ending flow of water and the sounds it makes on its journey the groggy morning voice crying after holding it in for so long slowly touching keys and strings and softly creating sounds that somehow turn into blissful tunes belly laughter kindness from perfect strangers smiles of tiny human children
