Shit, you could even say it was about the fact that schools in lower income communities are not able to provide for their students in ways that schools in other communities can; but the movie was not about cultural appropriation.

Update: This feud is getting weirder and weirder. B.o.B released a new track “Flatline” on Monday, that takes a few shots at Neil deGrasse Tyson. “Aye, Neil Tyson need to loosen up his vest,” the rapper spits. “They’ll probably write that man one hell of a check.”

And then Tyson fired back with a diss track of his own. Really.

The astrophysicist enlisted the help of his nephew Stephen J. Tyson, who is apparently a rapper. Tyson delivers the facts at B.o.B. over a Drake beat.

The pet store I worked at had a pen with rabbits near the front door. On every side of the pen were huge signs saying “You can pet me, but don’t pick me up!” One day two absolutely huge guys came in and one immediately reaches into the pen to grab a rabbit. Before i could say anything his friend grabbed his arm and asked him “did you see the sign?” He said “yeah! it says that you can pick them up but don’t pet them!” Then he went quiet for a moment and softly said “I didn’t read it right did I?” And his friend just puts his arm on his shoulder and said “its ok, i know you’ve got that thing where words get mixed up. Let just pet these cute lil shits” And I still haven’t gotten over that interaction.

I was walking my dog through Boston bc he likes the likes car rides. He’s a little thing tbh we call him short and long. So this huge scary man with a full beard approaches me like “hey can my buddy and I pet your dog? He gets nervous around dogs but your’s is so small I think it’s a good place to start.” Ofc I was like “yes he’s very friendly!” So this guy brings his equally big friend over and they sit on the floor while this man looks terrified of my tiny dog so big man number one asks “can I pick him up?” And i say yes so he picks him up and puts him on man number two’s lap and man number two is abt to freak out and his friend straight up just goes “hey man, it’s okay just relax I’d never let anything hurt you. He’s a good boy.” I’ll never forget it ever bc I know that man looked at me (5'3 , glasses, probably wearing a sweater vest) and my dog (kinda goofy looking little thing) and was like ‘ah yes the two least intimidating living things I’ve seen in Boston all day he’ll feel relaxed around them’ and went out of his way to help his friend. It makes me so happy

Needing attention - with out constant stimulation from our relationships, we forget we even mean anything to anyone. Outbursts of emotion (especially anger) - there are 5 intensity levels. at levels 4-5, we become the emotion. it sucks. (source: dialectical behavioral therapy)

Not getting out of bed - with bpd, depression is a reoccurring mood. Social withdrawal - we are champs at perfecting facades. don’t always have the energy for it though. Self-destructive behaviours - sometimes needed to escape those 4-5 intensity emotions. Being ‘clingy’ - fear of abandonment. love addicted. not knowing how else to care about people. Forgetting things - emotional impermanence. we lose perspective of things we did if its associated with something painful (aka all things, all things are painful). Getting upset about everything - impossible to see the good in anything unless someone sucked the cognitive dissonance right out of our heads. in other words, splitting–it’s a thing. Bad self-care- see: depression is a revolving and reoccurring mood. Promiscuity - see: needing attention because we don’t feel like “real” people. ‘Weird’ or ‘unusual’ triggers - sorry if you hate the word ‘trigger’, but that’s exactly what this is. emotional ptsd. how else would you explain, “oh fuck, that song reminds me of when _____. welp. time to dissociate. haha i’m not here anymore. haha, i don’t feel anything.”??? Needing validation - we want attention to feel like people. we need validation to feel like good people.

you: borderlines are manipulative

me, an intellectual and a borderline: as children, borderlines often do not receive adequate love, affection, and attention from people who are supposed to give exactly that (such as parents, but there can also be other sources). as a result, we crave it as older people and feel that we must do Extra in order to earn it because doing Enough when we were young still didnt result in a substantial amount of validation. however, because borderlines are often also put down, ceaselessly criticized, and even possibly bullied or abused/neglected as children, we feel we dont deserve the attention we end up getting so we split on ourselves and spiral into self hate. which leads into another thing people seem to forget: borderlines feel emotions in the extreme, meaning we are not being manipulative when you ask how we are and we answer "dramatically" because thats truly how we feel. we are being honest about how "extreme" we feel and how we need attention and love now to make up for childhood trauma; we are not innately manipulative.
