“i’m sorry,”   hunter frowns,    chewing at her lip;    she hates  this part of the position,    hates the confrontation,    hates that someone may hate her.    “i might be forced to take house points for that   …”    /    ( @newagestarters​ )

Whilst gathered in the Great Hall; Bella sat alone waiting for someone to pull some kind of accusation on her which she really did not do anything. Alone with her thoughts, she tends to fiddle with her rubber band that was kept on her wrist. She then felt someone approach her beyond her presence. 

“Whatever it is I did not do it nor was I involved so bugger off.”

After the chaos that erupted, a young Fabian lays on the bed in the hospital wing thinking of his family. His mother most of all shocked about the news being distributed. He felt some what useless on this uncomfortable bed. He offered Madame Pomfrey if there was anything he could do to help but she declined and suggested for him to get some rest. The most he wanted was his photo album from his dorm. When the time was right, he decided to sneak off out the hospital wing to attend to his dorm. As much pain he is in and his inability to walk, it doesn’t stop him to get what he wanted.

“Thank you, Ma’am” “Oh hush boy, you know I’m always happy to help. Just keep out of trouble and if you need anything further then you know where I am,” Poppy Pomfrey half scolded him. Will had been a visitor in the hospital wing many times due to his lively behaviour and quidditch career. 

Yet he was feeling somewhat guilty about being an extra burden, given the beds that were filling up. He heard rumours over what had happened but nothing clear. Something about dementors? Considering the cloaked beasts terrified him, he was glad he’d been sheltered from it.

He was frustrated, there was a lot of anger bustling through his veins. Will had been in fights before but the last one had truly wrecked him. The bruising to his face and the damage to his neck were constant reminders until he had time to heal. Thankfully, the Matron had healed the fractured rib but the pain still echoed in his side. It was going to be a rough few days ahead. He had no doubt that Remy had probably ran his mouth off about the fight too.

Stepping out of the hospital wing, his face furrowed into a frown at the huddles of people in the way. “Uh, ‘scuse me,” his voice cracked. The seventh year tried to manoeuvre through the students. His hand instinctively snaked across his body before settling on the side of his ribs to protect the area. He could understand worry but this was ridiculous. How did this help anyone?

The first years were little whippets in Will’s eyes, it’s why he refused them a spot on the team. A boy about half of his height ran straight at him and Will grabbed him by a handful of his shirt and tie before he collided with him. Seeing the little snake stare straight up at him before fumbling out a string of apologies, Will carefully moved him out of the way. “Careful,” he told him clearly though his voice was strained. Seeing the hurried nod, he let go of him and walked past him.

Will thought a lot of the younger snakes, they had a shit few years ahead of them being placed in the ‘worst’ house. He had quickly taken on that parental role for a lot of them being one of the oldest boys; a fair amount of them respected him due to his title as Captain too. 

“Haven’t you all got something better to do?” he spoke with an impatient huff.

                     remus  is  deep  in  thought,   paperwork  spread  out  on  the  desk  in  front  of  him.   he  has  extra  to  do  now,  having  offered  to  lighten  the  work  of  some  others  that  had  been  more  severely  injured  during  the  dementor  attack    –    but  it’s  hard,  trying  to ease  his  anxiety  about  the  war  breaching  the  walls  of  the  university  that  he  thought  were  so  safe.                 ❝     hm  ?   sorry,  i  was  in  my  own  little  world…    can  i  help  at  all   ?   ❞

                            it’s  all  a  blur     –      a  normal  class,  sunny  day  and  then  haziness  like  in  a  dream  and  the  saddest,  most  hopeless,  that  sirius  has  ever  felt.   they’re  not  a  stranger  to  the  worst  of  human  emotions,  but  this  was  tangible.  the  despair  in  the  air  was  so  thick  sirius  could  taste  it  on  their  tongue,  the  blood  through  their  veins  was  icy  cold  and  then  it  all  went  black.   

                            sirius  wakes  with  a  start,  heart  pounding  in  their  chest  and  for  a  split  second,  they  thought  perhaps  they  were  back  home      –     before  a  familiar  face  flickers  into  focus  before  their  eyes.   they swallow,  embarrassed,  and  hope  that  they weren’t  the  only  student  who  managed  to  collapse  during  the  attack.            ❝    oh.  good.  you  here  for  my  sponge  bath   ?   ❞

                      ❝    dementors  in  the  school  is  not  acceptable  !   somebody  had  to  have  known  that  this  was  going  to  happen.   ❞               andromeda  hasn’t  slept  since  the  attack,  trying  to  help  as  much  as  she  can     –     she  was  no  good  at  comforting  people,  couldn’t  spend  her  time  reading  to  the  injured  in  the  hospital  wing,  but  she knows  people,  knows  how  to  get  information  out  of  them.  perhaps  she  can  find  out  something  important.              ❝     do  you  remember  hearing  anything   ?   even  if  you  think  it  was  idle  gossip,  it  may  be  important.    ❞

                  ❝   it’s  fucking  ridiculous,  how  could  they  attack  students  ?    ❞             he’s  angry,  frustrated  that  something  happened  where  he  couldn’t  help,  where  people  were  outside  with  no  protection      –     not  that  he  would  have  the  first  clue  how  to  dispatch  a  dementor  properly  anyway.               ❝   we  need  proper  teaching  against  this  shit,   we  get  taught  duelling  but  not  against  anybody  other  than  other  wizards  and  witches.  what  the  fuck  are  we  learning  defense  against  the  dark  arts  for  if  none  of  it  is  actually  gonna  help   ?   ❞

                       he’s  uncharacteristically  quiet,  the  events  of  the  attack  having  shaken  him  a little.  he  knew  there  was  some  sort  of  unrest  within  the  wizarding  community,  but  it’s  never  come  so  close  to  him  before      –     or   to  his  baby  sister.   he  wants  his  mom,  thinks  that  they  all  should  just  be  sent  home  now.   he  hovers  in  front  of  the  ravenclaw  common  room,  not  smart  enough  to  figure  out  the  password,  but  then  he  notices  a  passerby,  and  waves  a  little  to  get  their  attention.                 ❝   hi,  um.   do  you  know  the  password  to  ravenclaw   ?    my  sister  is  in  there  and  i  just   ….    i  know  she  worries  and  i  wanted  to  check  on  her.   ❞

                         when  ace  wakes  up,  there’s  nobody  there  to  greet  him     –    other  than  the  mediwitch  bustling  around  and  casting  the  odd  healing  spell  now  and  then.  he’s  envious  as  he  watches  friends  comforting  each  other,   lovers  sharing  emotional  hugs,   and  wonders  if  the  news  of  the  attack  has  even  reached  his  parents  yet.  he  doesn’t  remember  much  of  the  attack,  never  really  pays  attention  during  care  of  magical  creatures  anyway,  but  he  does  remember  feeling  awful;  hopeless  and  anxious  and  desperately  sad.  somebody  wanders  near  to  his  bedside,  and  he  shoots  them  a  glance  before  looking  back  off  into  the  distance.  they  won’t  be  here  for  him.                ❝   are  you  looking  for  somebody  in  particular   ?   ❞

                      he  exhales  deeply,  exasperatedly  turning  to  the  couple  of  students  behind  him  that  are  frantically  talking  about  the  attack      –     it  was  unexpected,  sure,  but  nobody died  and  frankly  he  was  just  sick  of  hearing  about  it.   he  had  work  to  be  getting  on  with.                ❝   if  you’re  going  to  talk  about  the  attack,  can  you  go  somewhere  else   ?   some  of  us  have  better  things  to  do  than  talk  about  the same  thing  over  and  over.  exams  are  coming  up,  you  know   ?   ❞

                    ❝   don’t-don’t  say  that   !  don’t  ever  say  that.  that’s  a  horrible  thing  to  say.   nobody  deserves  to  die,  it  doesn’t  matter  where  they  came  from.    ❞                     daejung  exclaims  as  he  passes  a  couple  of  students,  whispering  to  each  other  that  perhaps  ‘the  mud-bloods  deserved  it’.  he  usually  doesn’t  like  confrontation,  but  he  couldn’t  hold  back  this  time.  the  attack  was  awful,  so  many  people  were  injured,  and  even  more  were  frightened  now.  he  shakes  his  head,  sad  and  disappointed  that  people  were  still  thinking  like  that     –      even  some  of  the  people  he  thought  were  his  friends.             ❝   you–you  should  be  ashamed  of  yourselves   !   ❞

                       keisha  was  doing  her  best  to  cheer  up  some  of  the  people  in  the  hospital  wing,  and  anybody  else  that  seemed  to  need  it.  she  was  used  to  comforting  people,  growing  up  the  eldest  of  five  children  she  was  always  dealing  with  grazed  knees  and  snotty  noses.  she’d  been  running  back  and  forth  between  common  rooms,  picking  up  things  for  students  who  were  injured,  or  who  were  busy  with  other  things.                      ❝   here’s  those  things  from  your  dorm,  just  to  make  your  stay  here  feel  a  little  more  like  home.   ❞              she  gives  the  student  a  smile  and  turns  to  find  somebody  watching  her.  she  grins.                 ❝   hey,  you  alright   ?   ❞
