I think an important thing to realize is that if you want to achieve something some day, you can’t just keep waiting and expect it to suddenly come to you, you need to actively make changes on a daily basis to get there. If you want to complete a marathon you need to start running, if you want to be mentally free from whatever is hurting you you need to start fighting back instead of giving in to thoughts and tendencies, if you want to be happy you need to actively work to cultivate that happiness
