“Oh, sorry. Did I disturb you?” She stuffed her hands in to her pockets as she bit down on her lip.

Curling in to herself she let her eyes drop to the ground before finally speaking, “What do you want?”

“I need some advice,” the girl mumbled as she let her eyes drift up to the blonde.

A smile graced the females face as she looked up at the girl in front of her. “You think so?” she asked before brushing her hair back away from her face. “I don’t know about that.”

Bella let herself relax for the first time in what felt like forever, leaning back against the large tree that stood behind her. She had felt a lot better since she had been changed, but there was still something bothering her that she couldn’t quite put her finger on. Everything seemed to fade away as she heard the familiar sound of footsteps behind her. Suddenly she was up on her feet, her eyes trained on the person approaching her. “Did you need something?”
Like this for a starter while I work on making icons.
ofvolturi:
the sent hit her nose instantly — it was different now, more like her’s, but it was definitely from the same girl she met decades ago in voltera. the one immune to her gift. she clenched her teeth, if bile could rise in her throat it would have. bella swan….cullen, irked her beyond reproach. maybe it was because she couldn’t hurt the other like she could everyone else, or maybe it had been aro’s interest in her. either way she plastered a fake smile on her face. “ isabella — why does it matter? i’m not hurting them, ” yet. children were cruel, they hated anything different and their parents were too idiotic to teach them otherwise.
She agreed that the blonde was not hurting the children, but at the same time she was being as mean as she could be to them without giving anything away. She had only met Jane briefly, but that was just the kind of vibe that the girl gave off. “No, but you could be a little nice.” She almost wanted to laugh at herself for telling Jane that she could be nice. It was weird to think about Jane being nice to anyone. “Never mind, scratch that.” She shook her head as she looked down, turning her gaze away from the girl.
valcabelo:
‘ oh my god, you’re a saint. ’ val immediately slid into the seat, sitting in the awkward silence for a minute before speaking. ‘ i’m valentina, by the way, but you can call me val. i’m new, if literally every person staring at me didn’t already give that away. ’
She sat in silence until she heard the girl speak, something that was a great relief to her. “I’m Bella.” She could instantly tell that she had been new, though that didn’t bother her at all. She remembered being new at one point and she knew exactly how it felt. “It’s nice to have someone new around.”
she’s known for her geniality; smile with your eyes, breathe life into the lifeless. ( don’t they know her lungs ache with movement? ). today she struggles, but she’s had a century to practice a gleeful façade - even a tired heart creaks, stretching stitches. a glass of unnecessary water condensates ironically against the ice of her palm, and she interrupts with a meager smile, ❛ is that your professional opinion? ❜
Bella let her head drift downward for a moment before a slight smile appeared on her face. “No, I guess I don’t have a professional opinion,” she told her girl before looking back at her. She could tell just by looking at her that she was struggling, but with what she was not exactly sure. She supposed that she could sense it due to her vampire abilities, but she was not going to bring up the topic to the girl.
although not uncommon, the way people gawked at valentina when she entered a room was always more awkward than flattering and she was quick to find the only person not looking at her with heart eyes. she gave them a polite smile as she approached before gesturing to the empty chair. ‘ mind if i sit here? ’
Bella looked up once she heard a voice directed toward her. She had not expected anyone to actually start talking to her, but then again she had to remind herself that the girl was only asking if she could sit next to her. “Go ahead.” She offered the girl a soft smile before moving herself and her chair over slightly.

Olivia gasped and smacked the man’s hand away and suddenly there was a woman standing in front of her. She hadn’t even seen her walk up to them. She couldn’t hear what the woman said because she was facing away from Olivia but she saw the men laugh. “You’re going to stop us?” They all chuckled.
Bella thought for a moment about showing the men what she could really do, but she almost instantly decided against it. It would end up drawing to much attention and that was the last thing that she needed. Instead of replying to the men she turned and started to walk away from them, dragging the girl with her. She wanted to move faster than she was, but there was no way to do that without drawing to much attention to herself.
J A N E wasn’t as heartless as people believed her to be, she did….feel? if that was the word for it. feel emotions, like; anger, devastation, and sometimes longing. for more. for something, she wasn’t quite sure. then, at that moment, she felt…malice. malice toward a group of children playing in the park. yes, she had decided to enjoy the dull, grey afternoon with a walk in the park. she left the robe at home, instead only wearing a ( what could be considered ) wednesday addams-esque dress. alec was…well, he was off doing his own thing and she didn’t feel like being cooped up in her room. look, another feeling. the aforementioned children were picking on a young girl, who reminded the vampire of her younger self. she resisted the urge to cause them pain — instead she sat on a bench, residing to watch them with narrowed eyes. the venom in her eyes hadn’t yet dissolved the green contacts she was forced to wear to keep from startling the humans. as she sat a ball bounced toward her and she bent to grab it, giving a sickeningly sweet smile to the kid ( one who had been picking on the girl )who came to get it. he was, of course, slightly dazzled by the girl’s angelic appearance. in a second her smile disappeared, and she threw the ball ( with restrained strength ) into the trees out-skirting the park. “ fetch ! ” she dead-panned, coldly watching to kid scamper off.
Bella watched the girl from a distance, hate welling up inside of her. She had never really liked Jane, but for some reason she was actually thinking about approaching the vampire. The moment she saw the ball tossed away from the kid she made her move to approach the blonde. “Why did you do that?” she asked as she looked down at her. She could tell that she was wearing contacts to hide the red of her eyes, though she was honestly surprised that the girl had not just came out in to the open with her red eyes. After all it would probably scare the children that she had been staring at. Bella supposed that was something Jane would like doing, scaring little kids. “They did nothing to you.” She found her gaze shifting to look out at the children as they ran after the ball. She thought about retrieving in for them, but then decided against it.
It was Olivia’s own fault for getting lost. She was new to town and didn’t know where she was going. Instead of asking for directions and trying to read lips of the people she had attempted to find the store by herself. However she ended up lost and without knowing it a few men had come up behind her, whistling and calling out to her, but Olivia could not hear them. It wasn’t until she were around her that she finally realized they were there. “Didn’t you hear me call you baby?” The one said and Olivia only caught the last word he said as he reached out to touch her. “Don’t touch me!” Olivia said slapping the hand away.
Bella stepped forward as soon as she heard the words slip from the girls lips. She could hear them even from so far away, which was something that she was still adjusting to after all of these years. Within a second she was standing beside of the girl before shifting herself to protect her. “Leave her alone,” she mumbled softly as she stared at the men in front of her. She would have been terrified of this situation at one point in life, but now she could take them down with no problem and she had grown somewhat use to that.
“Thanks.” The words were accompanied by a soft smile as her gaze turned from the floor to the person in front of her. It wasn’t often that she found herself asking for help these days, but there were still some things that she couldn’t exactly do by herself. “I appreciate it.” She forced her hands down in to the pockets of her coat as her gaze shifted away from the person in front of her.
Bella loved her sister, though the two seemed to function as opposites which often led the brunette to try to hide away from the pixie. But today was going to be different. Today she was going to sit back and take whatever was thrown at her by Alice and she was going to force herself to like it.
She had been looking to get out of the house and though she had not saw herself going shopping, she knew it was a much needed interaction. “Are you ready yet?” she called for her sister as she glanced over at the clock. It felt like Alice seemed to take forever sometimes, and even though she had the rest of forever to wait she still didn’t want to stand by the door waiting all day. There were still some things she couldn’t shake from her time as a human, and being impatient was one of them.
