It’s just one disaster after another.

Just found out a close friend of mine died in September last year. He was only 18 when he died.  It was cancer that took him. The guy was a big fan of Rick and Morty and JonTron, and those were two things we spoke about often. Rest in peace, kid.  I’m going to do something in his memory, I just do not know what exactly yet.

At a loss for words

This is gonna be personal as fuck. But it needs to be said. One of my favourite university lecturers is ill.  She, for those who don’t know, was one of the most inspiring people I ever had the pleasure of being taught by.  She helped me, and told me never to give up.  Hell, she was even interested in my fanfiction, and is pretty much the reason I continued to write fanfiction after I finished University. She’s quit her job.  I am at a loss for fucking words.  The new first years who start their course next week will not have the pleasure of being taught by this wonderful woman.  They will never know how encouraging and fun she was, how patient she was an how much help she was willing to offer. I’m crying as I type this.   This doesn’t mean I’m taking a hiatus.  I’m going to keep going, to honour this wonderful person and all the other people that taught me in life.

Announcement

Another writer is copying my writing style. I’m not naming names or pointing fingers as I do not believe that’s the right thing to do, I am just saying they are someone who I know is a fan of my writing. I’m actually not happy.  I put a lot of love into every story I write and this has honestly angered me. I’ve decided not to say anything to them for now, however if it keeps happening obviously I will.

So I have found my notebook...however...

I know I’m gonna lose some followers. But at the current moment I am obsessed with JonTron.  So that’s my main focus fanfiction wise.  I run a separate blog for that which I will give to anyone who wants it. YES I still love Rick and Morty.  I’m hyped as fuck for season 3.  Yes, I still collect merch.  Yes, I still love every one of you magnificent fuckers who follow my blog, especially those who gave me words of encouragement when I OD’d earlier this year.

I will try and write more for you guys, obviously Rick is still fucking awesome (and Morty is still a whiny asshole) but right bloody now I love JonTron. No I’m not selling the Evil Rick body pillow, I lie on that when I’m playing Mario Kart.  I might have to try and source a JonTron one but for now, Rick stays.

Hey, remember how I said I thought I was working on a fic before my hiatus but wasn’t sure if I was or not?

Turns out I was working on an Evil Rick x reader.  I found what I’d written in my fanfic notebook the other day (I do write for other fandoms, I’m currently writing a lot of ficlets and drabbles for the JonTron fandom, most of it on request from some of my friends). I’m gonna type it up and finish it!  I promise!  It’s the least I owe you guys. To those who have stuck around whilst I desperately tried to get better, thank you.  Thank you so, so much.
