Fanfic Masterlist
It's a bit wild to me that some of these are over five years old now - and a good few I do look back on and go... oh, I could have done a lot better, and yet I want to reshare them on Tumblr in case a curious soul may find them of interest. Main pairings in brackets (but... well you can guess).
Multi-Chapters
An Endless Hope (TimSteph)
After a horrendous blizzard falls over Gotham, Tim undergoes a sharp change in character before disappearing. Upon discovering what has become of him, Stephanie sets off on a solo journey in a magic realm to bring him home, meeting some faces who seem awfully familiar along the way. A retelling of The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Anderson.
Even Lovers Drown (TimSteph)
There are four facts about which Stephanie is certain, and one of which she doubts. One, her father is abusive. Two, one day she will run away from him and Gotham City itself. Three, that boy she rescued at the river the other night has a fish tail. Four, she loves that boy to the point of insanity. Five, he is going to drown her when given the chance. A TimSteph mermaid AU.
First Date (TimSteph)
Tim has one more test to pass before Bruce will allow him out as Robin. Like Dick and Jason before him, he has to avoid being caught by Batman for one night. He has already failed once, and is determined to succeed this time. Determination which might not count for much when Stephanie Brown is on the run from the mob. Her mother kidnapped as a way to threaten her father, Stephanie manages to escape and run into Tim. Unable to leave Stephanie alone when she is in need, Tim decides to try and multi-task. All he has to do is rescue Stephanie’s mother, take down the mob, avoid Batman and get Stephanie to agree to a proper date all in one night. Absolute anarchy ensues. An alternate take on Tim's ascension to Robin and Stephanie's ascension to Spoiler.
Mad as a... (TimSteph)
Tim and Stephanie's attempts to move into their first joint place are plagued with them juggling their own issues, especially with conflicting ideas on how to spend their future together. Tim's lingering hints of depression makes Steph worried, whilst she continues to brush aside problems of her own, as if ignoring them will make them go away. Any attempts at solutions get thrown into disarray when Bruce and Dick's investigation into the Court of Owls members brings a certain Gotham rogue into the mix, one with a predilection for young blondes, as well as bringing to light family secrets that maybe would have been better hidden. Dealing with trauma is hard, but the thought of home provides enough hope to try. [Note: This one is particularly rough!]
Meet the Parents (TimSteph)
Meeting your partner's parents is hard. It's even harder when - as far as your parents know - you've only been dating for a couple of weeks and not the year it has been in reality. It's not that you enjoy lying to your parents, of course not, it's just... Necessary for the job. Tim Drake, meet Crystal Brown. Stephanie Brown, meet Jack Drake. Oh, and Janet too. One goes much better than the others.
On the Twelfth Day (TimSteph)
Tim and Stephanie give presents for the 12 Days of Christmas. Fluffy fluff fluff.
Robin Come Away and Abandon the Day (TimSteph)
Stephanie Brown is a little stressed. She has Robin, college studies, a job at the library and a boyfriend with the worst parents ever to balance. Tim Drake, meanwhile, is juggling his efforts to keep his divorced parents from killing each other, arguing that no, dad, being bisexual is not a phase, and sitting on the very important fact that Bruce Wayne is Batman. The two students meet at the start of a new year, and suddenly there's something about a conspiracy regarding owls? When Stephanie begins to suspect her boyfriend's family may be hiding something, Tim starts to realize his parents may have secrets of their own, and - unsurprisingly - things start to go off the rails.
Virus in a Lullaby (TimSteph)
Stephanie's father has been released from Blackgate, and in her mother's panic, Stephanie has been forced to relocate within Gotham. She wants nothing more than to slip through life unnoticed and unchallenged, but is finding that a tricky request, being the new girl and all that. Tim has been advised to start making a genuine effort at his education and socialising; to at least pretend to care about the concept of a normal high school career. He decides Stephanie will make a suitable distraction. It's a little bit of a match made in hell.
One Shots
Bang Bang Go Away Come Again Another Day (Gen)
The Joker catches wind of that blonde girl that was Robin is a) not dead like Black Mask said, and b) currently Batgirl. Clearly these need remedying.
Give Me Your Hand (DickRoy)
Dick feels out of place, and tries to catch his breath in the quiet. Roy understands, maybe more than either realise.
Home is a Memory (TimSteph)
Expanded scene for Young Justice (2019) #15. Tim and Steph finally get to reunite after the team's reality hopping adventure, and whilst Tim is keen for Stephanie to be (re)introduced to his friends, Stephanie isn't sure she belongs.
I would have loved you in another place and time (TimSteph)
"Someone else would love her and look at like she was made of star light. Someone else would call her home. Someone else would cradle her at three in the morning after a nightmare, or value her opinions above almost any other. Someone else. She didn’t want someone else. She just wanted Tim. Was that selfish?" Ten missing scenes to expand and fill in the gaps between Tim and Stephanie's first meeting in Batman Eternal #52 to Tim's 'death' Detective Comics #940.
In The Doghouse (TimSteph)
Tim and Stephanie have been arguing a lot. One night whilst trying to catch a frog-hunting witch, Tim is left with a very cute golden retriever where Steph once stood, and a set of suitably vague and unhelpful instructions of how to get her back. It's a bit of a struggle. Tim and Steph's no good very bad very awkward day - the fic.
Just a Small Catastrophe (TimSteph)
Tim gets himself turned into a cat for a week and is forced to stay at Stephanie's until the spell wears off on its own. Honestly, it's not as traumatic as it sounds. For Tim.
Rockabye (TimSteph)
Stephanie gives birth. Again. This time it's planned, with someone who wants her and the child, and there's a veritable superhero army waiting outside to hold the kid. This baby is as wanted as can be and yet, still, a worry remains.
Sick Day (Tim & Janet, TimSteph)
The one-time Tim has his mother all to himself, he goes and catches the flu. Janet makes him some food, and the memory maybe sticks with Tim somewhat subconsciously. Sometimes the rare moments stay with you more than you'd expect. A fic combining my 'Janet was not an ice-cold witch' and 'Tim's love language is soup' agendas for the sake of mother-son cuddles. Because Tim is always due for a snuggle.
Spoilsport (Tim & Janet, TimSteph)
Janet sings to her son after a difficult night, and it's something he doesn't ever quite forget. Stephanie wonders if Tim has any musicality, and endeavours to pull it out of him, learning something new about him in the process.
Trying Again (TimSteph)
After the Black Mercy and Captain Boomerang incidents, Tim and Stephanie decide to give dating another go. They're older now, more settled, and haven't got the big bad bat looming over their heads. However, there are still some issues that need ironing out. It seems like talking about them is as good a place to start as any.
Unspoken Promises (TimSteph)
Sitting on the car roof waiting for Zatanna to show up, Stephanie became acutely aware of how their leaving home must have looked to the rest of the family, and makes her think about what want from the future, especially after everything had come crashing down in the aftermath of Brother Eye and the Batman of Tomorrow. Tim for once isn't thinking too deeply about it.
Wake Up the Dawn is Here (TimSteph)
Five times Tim woke up alone, and one time he woke up next to Stephanie. A birthday gift for ThatBlondePerson.
Series
Ask Game Prompts (TimSteph, DickKory, DickRoy, Gen)
A series of the drabbles and short fics I write in response to ask games on Tumblr. Almost entirely TimSteph because I have a reputation apparently.
The Light at the End of the Tunnel (TimSteph)
In a world where Stephanie kept her child and Tim was unable to grow beyond being Batman's shadow, the stresses and pressures continue to mount with no relief in sight. That is, until a chance meeting provides hope that there's more to life than what they believe is laid out for them. External forces however, may be less keen for the couple to make it work. Recovery doesn't always run in a straight line. A six part collab by IncoherentBabblings and ThatBlondePerson.
Not Getting Married Today (TimSteph)
Take Back the Cake, Burn the Shoes, and Boil the Rice Within two months there have been two murders of Gotham newlyweds moments after the ceremony. The only connecting factor was both brides wore the same designer's work. Needing to establish who exactly is behind the crimes, Bruce enlists Tim and Stephanie to have the biggest wedding Gotham high society has seen in decades, putting a target on their heads not just for the killer, but Gotham society too. It goes about as well as you'd expect. Wouldn't it be Funnier to Go and Watch a Funeral? Planning a wedding is hard. Planning a wedding to a member of the Wayne family is harder. Planning a wedding after the first (fake) one got interrupted; your mother doesn't really like your partner; your father is maybe threatening to blow up the venue; Hugo Strange is being a total creep about your relationship; your car just got totaled and you now look like a walking bruise; you've been unemployed since graduating and don't really know what you want to do do with your life; your future father-in-law thinks dressing up as a bat is a perfectly reasonable course of action; and your fiancé is maybe not coping with life's trauma that healthily... Stephanie is having a rough couple of weeks. But it will totally be worth it. Right?
