I've decided to forgive you

Forgive you for making me think you liked me

For making me think you cared

For making me think that perhaps I wasn't such a bad person after all

Perhaps I was someone worth falling for

I forgive you for making me feel all these emotions and then abandoning me

Leaving me with nothing but a million empty promises

Unseen TV shows

Unvisited places

And an unseen reality

Ours was a reality I dreamt of

But I forgive you for breaking the illusion

I forgive you for making me fall in love with you yet not being good enough for me to like you

Yes, for the hundredth time, I forgive you

Not that you care, but only through forgiving you will I find the peace to forgive myself

Forgive myself for believing you

Forgive myself for falling for you when I knew you wouldn't catch me

I forgive you and I forgive myself

And now you know what?

I'm going to finish watching that TV show

I'm going visit that hill we always talked about

I'm going to live my life

Because you are not my end

And I have forgiven you

And within that I have forgiven myself
