Well... you gotta do what you gotta do for your art, right?
letsbenditlikebennett replied to your post â[pm] [deleted: Does Lydia have hostages in her home?????] Is Lydia...â
[pm] Was there anyone else staying with her when you were there?
[pm] There wasnât to my knowledge. I know she has someone staying there now, though... someone who fell into a bad time and is staying there until things get better. Iâm curious about half the closed doors in the house, though.
[pm] [deleted: Does Lydia have hostages in her home?????] Is Lydia also supernatural?
[pm] I don't think that's my place to tell you
She isn't a normal human, no. Why do you ask?
inspirationdivineâ:
[pm] Well, I hope you pursue some kind of help, from an expert or the wolf.Â
I agree entirely.Â
How is Bean?
[pm] I hope so, too. The good olâ âpick oneself up by the bootstraps and carry onâ process. Nowhere to go but forward, right? I might use that tin I got as a prize to try to get rid of the nightmares from the ritual. Iâm not sure, yet. Is that a bad idea? Heâs fine! Or Iâm assuming heâs fine... a friend offered to watch him while I dealt with the fallout from that night, or... at least the immediate fallout. I plan to reunite with him in the near future - I miss the little creature. Heâs so cute.

[User attaches a photo of three hams (the meat) sitting in a row with Ham (the person) sitting behind them holding up a wine glass filled with shredded ham (the meat) up in a toast like fashion.]
Indeed. Do I want to know how youâve acquired so much ham? If your name is Ham and you eat ham, would that makes you a hammible?
3starsquinnâ:
[pm] Thatâs awesome! Yeah- Iâm sure eventually Iâll have to pick a field. If I want to specialize in anything at least. But uh- As far as supernatural stuff goes I guess it depends on what you believe in? Most people in this town donât believe that the supernatural exist.
Yeah, thatâs a good way to put it actually. I never really knew that growing up I guess.
Iâm sorry. Didnât mean to put you on the spot. But I donât think thereâs anything wrong with not knowing the answer yet. I think itâs sort of a lifelong process.
[pm] As Iâve noted and wished about myself. It helps to keep an open mind, Iâve also noticed. Nothing to be sorry for, my boy; if anything, I apologise for making the conversation awkward in the first place. I understand where youâre coming from, though... It is a lifelong process, or it certainly feels as though it came be sometimes. I never really experienced that relationship with anyone other than certain family members, myself. Sometimes I wonder why I wasnât just home-schooled.
[A new photo is uploaded to Noraâs Blog. Some might call them nudes. Some might say it can be nudes because Ham (the person) is covered in Ham (the meat). Either way⊠itâs definitely an artistic choice..]Â
Ah, very avant-garde. Welcome back, Norham-- Ham.

Oh! Um, yes, of course! I can probably do that. Iâve had several people contact me about this, but I should be able to fit you in. Do you have any background in ASL to begin with? Or any prior knowledge? Itâs not necessary at all, Iâm just wondering where Iâd need to start.
Iâm familiar with greetings, the alphabet and... a song I learned in church but thatâs the extent of my knowledge, unfortunately. Also, if your class is full(or close to your levels of comfort), I understand, Skylar. Thereâs absolutely nothing wrong with that; if anything, Iâm glad so many people are taking interest! The last thing I want to do is overwhelm you when youâve just gotten out of the responsibility from the school year, especially with my novice knowledge. Thatâs not going to help.
eldonashâ:
[pm] There is no need to feel empathy over my situation. It doesnât require it. Being immortal is a burden at times, and it just happens to be one now. After you have lived for so long you see the same moments pass by, its constant. No one can entirely understand our situation, because time is only presenting you one lifetime.Â
I have known two people for so long, centuries, and I will have to witness another one falling apart like the other had. Iâll have to see that spark, that light in their eyes disappear, what I love enjoy about them, vanish. I find it ironic, someone so cruel as I, can maintain the one the thing that they cant seem too.Â
So, no. I am not okay. Every night I consider what it would be like to watch an entire neighborhood perish. Just to see the results. Just to feel something from long ago. Just to feel period.Â
[pm] I would imagine being immortal carries a mirrored burden of knowing how mortal one is. You have too much time, too much information and yet you still have time and the choice of what to do with that time. My life is half over, possibly cut much shorter because of this disease wolf inside that tears apart anything it can find. Iâm sure I chose this as much as you chose to be turned but unlike you, I have no master to help me nor do I have several lifetimes to reflect and contemplate what I am and what I will become. I am here now, and you will be when Iâm not. I cannot imagine the pain youâve endured, the loss youâve suffered, the power youâve had to control and suppress. To be immortal carries such a unique weight to it that I can never experience. But as Iâm mortal on this earth, carrying this weight of my own... [User exhales] Even now, I feel as though Iâm just reciting the ramblings of a tired speech youâve heard a dozen times over by now... or perhaps quadruple that. Iâm... sorry. Iâm sorry that you feel nothing, either by choice or time or both. But as Iâm unable to be sad with you, as part of my curse, Iâll choose to be sad for you. Iâll also choose to feel hopeful for you; that one day, even if far into the future, youâll be able to feel those emotions that were taken from you again. To experience vivacity, love, a metaphorical warmth, ephemeral though it may be as my time on earth is.

[user responds one hungover day later] Military sounds waaayyyy better than chicken!
I am a fan of puns. People did not like my dad jokes, but I just canât help myself sometimes.Â
Either of those work for me! Enough time for my body to remember itâs not shutting down yet. Thanks for uhâŠindulging me. I donât usually drink like that.Â
July 6!Â
[pm] Iâm inclined to agree. Ah, fantastic! More like-minded shenaniganry! Thatâs not a word, I just like to pretend it is. No problem at all, friend. Iâm glad you had fun at the party. July 6th, sounds splendid - much more so than the fireworks on the fourth, anyway.
3starsquinnâ:
[pm] Kind of. Iâve always been a bit of a history nerd. I have started to focus a bit more into civilizations culture, specifically legends and mythology. But I try not to specifically limit myself to that. Iâm a history major so I mostly just like reading about the past. But the supernatural is particularly interesting to me.
Right. I wish there was some map. Or book that told me. Anything to make it easier. I have found- and bear with me because this is super sappy - But I found that when I finally started to make some friends I sorta got a better idea on who I wanted to be. Just- theyâve really helped me break out of my shell. That was so cheesy I feel like a CW character without all the making outâŠ..
Do you know? Like who âSimonâ is?
[pm] Iâm going to pull my old man card and say âyou remind me of me when I was youngâ. Learning is a hobby of mine and I disliked having to specify half the time. I grew up with very little knowledge about the supernatural other than the stories my mother told me of witches but I.... regrettably donât remember them. I donât think thatâs sappy at all. Humans are social creatures and especially those with lower self-esteem or are full of self-doubt are encouraged by others to discover their true potential. At the end of the day, Orion is Orion but who Orion is can absolutely be shaped and influenced by the people he cares about and who care about him or even by the ones he doesnât. Whoâs âSimonâ? Well, Simon used to be is a... [User thinks for a long time before responding] No, I donât suppose I do. You got me there.
3starsquinnâ:
[pm] Throughout different cultures, werewolves appear in a lot of them. Greek and Nordic mythologies have stories of men being turned into wolves against their will and go on a killing spree. French history is riddled with stories of killers that claimed they could turn into wolves, and did so to murder villagers. But those are just legends. There isnât any evidence backing that up. Thereâs no proof that werewolves even exist.
I mean, I would totally be scared in the moment, of course. But the idea of being scared of a person just because they turn into a werewolf just⊠isnât right. The thing about the stories about the French killers and the nordic soldiers⊠they were already killers. If the werewolf thing was true, this didnât make them more or less vicious. It just made them stronger.Â
At least, thatâs what history and literature tells usâŠ
Those are very kind things to say but⊠right now Iâm not really accomplishing much. Not until I figure out some of my own life stuff. But uh- thanks. Once I really nail down who Orion is maybe Iâll understand.
[pm] [User is actually learning; he likes learning] You do seem quite knowledgeable on lore. Is that information youâve picked up from that, uh... the place you said wasnât quite a library but was a corpus of information? Or do you just have an interest in the supernatural in different cultures? Either way, youâll receive no judgement from me. And how terrifying is it to think that you could be talking to someone who turns inside out into a murderous animal. How terrifying it is to think that you COULD be that. Well, one thing Iâve learned throughout life is that once you figure out Orion, then the rest of the pieces fit into place eventually. Unless they donât. Itâs just getting that that no one knows how to do.
Patientâs Patience || Queenie and Simon
Time: Sometime during the weekend Players: Simon, Queenie @drqueenieking Summary: A still-stabbed Simon visits the professional Doctor Lin-King for a way to proceed. Content Warnings: Medical blood and discussion
inspirationdivineâ:
[pm] Simon, an untreated wound is a profound risk to your health and well being. I donât want to promise bind you into doing anything, but you have to take a stab wound seriously. I mean, for goodness sake, the human hospital is running a campaign [medical blood tw] on the issue.Â
I am not surprised you envy it. Yet, you can only do the best with the hand you are given. Which is a very good hand considering that you started human.Â
[pm] Yeah, you're... Right. I guess I just thought the wolf would keep it under control until things smoothed over and I could get it examined proper. Maybe a promise bind would actually keep me accountable. That poor girl, though... W-wait the doctors eat people?
Indeed you can. One must try ones best, even if it isn't good enough.
3starsquinnâ:
[pm Thatâs a little on the noseâŠ. ConsideringâŠ. Ha ha. Yeah. Well, uh- werewolves arenât the ones that scare me. Or the idea of werewolves at least. I mean, everything scares me as mentioned. But werewolves arenât inherently scary, depending on who the person is that turns into one. Theoretically, of course.
Yeah. Itâs crazy to think that one person can accomplish so much. Itâs pretty inspiring, that anyone can be more than just⊠a burden or something
[Pm] Really, you aren't scared of werewolves? Those are the ones that scare me the most - I've heard they're all just hiding, waiting until they transform then they swoop down upon unsuspecting humans and kill them for fun. From what I've been told, it doesn't matter who the person is otherwise. You're familiar with werewolves?
Well going by your current schedule, you seem to be well on your way to inspiring someone, even if you don't think so. And I hope you don't think of yourself as a burden... You're so young, so full of life and an untapped market for greatness! It sounds scary though, doesn't it? The pressure... But what if I told you that even if all you want to be is "Orion" that people already think you're great?
@inconvenientsimonstrocity
[pm] Iâm arranged to go to one, soon. I wanted some clarification on whether I should since I have⊠No clue where⊠[User has actively avoid making a pun] Werewolves are supposed to go when theyâre injured.
Sometimes not having a guide book or any ideas for what to do is difficult, as it turns out.
Did you have to figure out what you were and could do by yourself? I donât think you perceive what you are as a bad thing like I do.
[pm] Do you know a werewolf who can guide you on that, at least somewhat? There are plenty in town, one ought to be able to help.Â
Fae are born, not made. I grew up in a culture of fae, so it was all natural to me.
[pm] I'm familiar with a couple that I believe can help... It's mostly just finding a time that isn't already full of other things that could be done instead. You know of my fractured relationship with appearing selfish or needy.
Ah, that's fascinating. Almost every other wolf I know was born with it; a whole lifetime to learn and grow, bond and form those ties. I envy it sometimes. I think that's why... One reason why I enjoy having you over.
