A tribute to Farewell My Concubine, one of my favourite movies, and absolute masterpiece.

first of all, how dare you call me out like that
Ok but now after the game I have to know. "Cyrano spits on a grave". I need answers è3é
There's actually not much to know, it's basically just as the title says xD He spits on some random grave and Christian is... not amused
but here's a piece of it:
The name on the stone is unfamiliar to Christian, but the title speaks of an old duke.
“Did you know him?”, he asks quietly after a moment of silence. Movement comes back into Cyrano and he nods as he takes a step forward and – spits on the grave. Christian gasps in shock. He might know Cyrano to be rough and callous towards his living fellows, but he would have never expected him to denigrate the dead. Could he not leave them in peace, at least? Did he have to spit on a grave of all things!
“Cyrano!”, he exclaims, but his friend shows no sign of remorse as he steps back. “That was a man of very high station!”
“And in hell he shall rot!”, Cyrano growls.
Hope you enjoy!
And now, looking through the folder again, I realized that I forgot to put my other Cyrano-fic-with-no-hope-for-uploading onto the wip list, it's called "Cabbage man and depression"
You can’t really drop “Cabbage man and depression” in your answer and then not elaborate further. By the way Cyrano spitting on a grave is... yeah, I can definitely see him doing that.
WIP Game
Rules: post the names of all the files in your WIP folder regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it! And then tag as many people as you have WIPs.

Some of these are in Italian, some in English. I feel shame for all but one. Why am I like this. Tagging @grunid, @none-ofthisnonsense, @theimpossiblescheme, @tinykitchenvegan and all those interested in this cute game!
Life of an Expert Swordsman – A Tribute
So. I did a thing. I apologize about the quality and the subtitles, unfortunately I couldn't find a subtitle-free version of this movie. I do not own the movie nor the song, they belong respectively to Hiroshi Inagaki and Samuele Bersani. I know that choosing an Italian song may seem a dubious choice, but I absolutely love Samuele Bersani, he's one of the best contemporary songwriters, and this song – "Le mie parole" – is just perfect for Cyrano. You can find an English translation of it here.)
Ok, so. I watched it some days ago. There were many changes in comparison to the original Rostan pièce BUT I honestly liked it a lot. The bit with Mifune singing while he fights the guys in the theatre was a delight. But Mifune has always been a frickin delight so I'm not surprised. "Christian" and "Roxane" were ok, I liked her more than I liked him but still they were very cute. "Le Bret" was made into the sake seller whose shop is basically "Cyrano"'s second house. He was cute. I adored the love declaration in the garden, it was a super sweet exchange of words and poetry between Cyrano and Roxane. The ending destroyed me. Which is exactly what I hoped for.
8/10. Not my absolute favourite movie adaptation of Cyrano, but surely my second favourite after Rappeneau's.
I NEED TO WATCH THIS NOW YOU ARE HYPING ME !!!
The ending always destroys me, i’m ready to be heartbroken for the hundredth time !!!!
just saw it. Pretty good. Very different, a lot of cuts from the original play but it’s not a problem ! It’s very visually beautiful !!!!!!!!! and the end was very very very poetic and again, beautiful.
Christian destroyed me with the river part. Didn’t see that coming.
I’M SO HAPPY TO HAVE DISCOVERED IT ! THANKS YOU SO MUCH @incorrectcyranoquotes
@grunid I swear, when Cyrano appeared under the cherry tree I felt my heart skip a beat. Such beautiful scenery, such graceful quiet! Christian deserved better but honestly the river scene was 100% IC. At least more IC than the 2021 Cyrano's Christian almost punching Cyrano in the face. Which made me gasp with outrage. This Christian was lovely. I also loved Roxane, she wanted fine words but it was clear that she was just a gente soul who needed love.

Christian: We’re getting married, bitches!
Roxane: And we're about to make it everybody else's problem.
Lignière: My hands are cold.
Ragueneau: Here, let me hold them.
Lignière: My lips are cold too.
Ragueneau: *covers Lignière's mouth with his hand*
Christian: Wow, Roxane, you want to hold my hand before marriage? How awfully lewd of you.
Roxane: We literally slept together yesterday.
Christian: That's NOTHING compared to the lewdness of holding hands.
De Guiche, walking to Roxane's house: *sneezes*
Cyrano: *standing on the wall, ready to jump* Bless you.
De Guiche: God?!
The Cadets: Are we going too far? Carbon: No, no, no. You went too far about 7 hours ago. Now you’re going to prison.
The Cadets: How many kids do you have?
Carbon: Biologically, emotionally, or legally?
*Carbon and The Cadets skipping stones on lake*
Carbon: It’s such a beautiful evening.
The Cadets, whispering: Take that you fucking lake
Cyrano: I can explain.
Le Bret: Can you?
Cyrano: If you give me thirty seconds to think of a lie.
Roxane: It’s dark in here
Christian: Don’t worry dude I got this
Christian: *Stomps his feet*
Christian: *Skechers light up*
Le Bret: Man, I only ever see you awake, do you ever shut down or stop running?
Lignière: Oh, I’m always running
Lignière: The question is from what
