My name is Tanisha Willis. May partner and I are an LGBTQ Identified couple living in the San Antonio Texas area, though we've only recently been living together for about five months now.

We've gone through and overcome a lot since making this commitment to each other and I couldn't ask for a kinder, more supportive person than my dear Korin. Our situation, unfortunately, in the last couple of months has become pretty dire.

We have more than five thousand dollars worth of medical bills we have to pay due to a number of emergency room visits and surgery my partner had to undergo. We have access to only one form of transportation at the moment as my car currently does not run on account of a dead battery, and the worst, we're struggling to feed ourselves and our two cats on a weekly, very strict budget. The apartment we currently live in is a one bedroom with a very small utility kitchen, small enough that we cannot even put our dishes in the cabinets and frequently does not have hot water. On several occasions we have had to boil water in pots to bathe, and battle the office staff to send maintenance to make repairs. Our lease will be up on June 30th. Less than two months from now, and we're hoping to move to a location closer to where I will be attending school in the fall. But it will be impossible to do this without the money to get there. How the money will be used:

All money donated will go towards major repairs to our vehicles, to pay down the balance on the medical bills, and help feed and house us until June 30th when we are required to move.

Our deadline is June 25th. We must have the funds to be able to move. If we cannot, we must give notice.

Any amount anyone would be willing to give we would be eternally grateful for. Moving means a new beginning for the both of us. A chance to gain new employment with better pay, and access to education and other resources.

My country is being poisoned...

… By a steel factory. The news is causing a riot among fishermen and my people for the last week. This factory’s been dumping unprocessed chemical water into the sea, causing the fish to die en masse. The poisoned water’s spreading from Ha Tinh to Vinh Lang Co, as shown in the picture.

Not only that steel factory publicly arrogantly admitted to it, they wanted us to choose between steel, and fish. “You can’t have both”, they said. Our government has been trying to do something about it, but so far fish are still dying, and the people are too desperate, some of them even had to scoop up those death fish to sell, knowing they’re poisoned.
