A week before we submitted our final presentation. When graphic design students came over, they showed us their amazing creations and what to expect when we are in L6.

The advice I've given—and am eagerly anticipating receiving from L6—is to be courageous, hold onto your interests, be more inquisitive, and—most importantly—continue growing your network of contacts in the industrial world.

Workshop With Martin

Limited Design Assets Workshop:

I was able to experiment with several iterations of one concept thanks to the workshop on restricted assets. I discovered that you can create a range of results with these straightforward assets, giving your assets the ability to be diverse while truly making your brand stand out.

Four names of assets have been provided: Admission, Assition, Mother City, and Probleme. We must select one group of records from each of these four assets. Since Mother City is more pertinent to my brief, I have picked it.

After we all finished we put in in padlet to see everyone’s work.

Additionally, I completed one more assent since I loved completing the initial one for the hotel and thought it would stand out more effectively if I did it again.

Week 4 DixonBaxis

The company impressed me a lot during my visit to our University. Their works are fantastic, original and full of bold solutions. And the principles they decided to follow from the first days of the uprising, which they stick to today, are worth respecting and bowing to them. It would be a great pleasure and an excellent experience for me to work in this place.

Week 3 - Industry Day and Studio Day

As part of Industry Day, we had four fantastic speeches from alumni guest speakers; Ajay, Marrissa, Jess, and Emily all provided helpful guidance. It was very nice to see graduate students work and a huge thanks to all of them to come to our campus.

Week 2 on campus

Tasks 1 and 2 are to finish the skills audit and then define goals. We all need to set objectives to achieve these activities to force our professional futures. My main goal for this programme is to study as much Adobe software as I can because I want to be as confident as possible in my last year of L6.

I have to force these things to pass this module. As we were talking on the campus start building the connection on LinkedIn, because it’s key for the students to get a job. I’m glad that I’ve been having this LinkedIn account for quite a while and I have made some connections.

Professional Futures Presentation (in fulfilment of Learning Outcome 1 – see below)

Monday 17 April 2023 - Assessment

This is a 10-minute presentation that explores your approach to professional practice, as well as looking towards L6 and beyond. This is an opportunity to present yourself, highlight your skills and experiences, and to apply the Professional Futures lectures to your own journey. This presentation should go beyond a simple PowerPoint; it should be a well-considered, rehearsed, polished, and professional presentation. This will take the form of an individual presentation in front of staff and peers.

Body of Work (in fulfilment of Learning Outcomes 2 and 3 – see below) Deadline: Monday 15th May 2023 - 9am

If you have a support statement: Monday 22nd May 2023 (5 working day extension for assignments of 4000 words or less)

As part of this module you will work on a body of practical work; this may be realised through one or more briefs. You will document your learning in an RVJ, and at the end of the module you will do a presentation to staff on the work you’ve done. Through the RVJ & presentation, you will analyse the development of your project work and your final outcomes, reflectively evaluating your learning journey as well as identifying connections with theory and contemporary practice, allowing you to clarify your own individual direction and to look towards your final year.

Critical Reflective Evaluation (in fulfilment of Learning Outcome 4 – see below) Deadline: Monday 16th May 2023 - 12pm (noon)

If you have a support statement: Monday 22nd May 2023 (5 working day extension for assignments of 000 words or less) of 1000 words (+-10%) using a provided template.

As part of this module you will complete a Critical Reflective Evaluation (up to 1000 words +-10%) using a template provided. This will involve you evaluating the strengths and weaknesses on your own learning, as well as describing personal routes for exploration for the first L6 module Advancing Practice. You will identify a potential focus for the module itself which considers practical and elements.
