The video clip i have explained about the Cloud Garment is too big to send it but i have a paragraph to explain about The Clouds Garment; 

This project is called Clouds, I have chosen this subject as it’s something that I am very interested in as it’s brings out my inner emotion/Feelings.

Well I am designing for ladies that enjoys very floating elegant garment that makes you feel special, I have designed a garment to make people feel light and fluffy just like the clouds.

It an occasion piece so it would be worn by going out somewhere special like cocktail party, a celebration where they feel comfortable and elegant at the same time.

While I was draping, I brought my inner feelings toward the garment, it’s the same feelings that I get when I look up at the clouds.

I had decided on a dress, while draping on a mannequin creating the soft flows of a white fluffy clouds giving the volume to bottom of dress while keeping it slender and silhouette form from the waist/breast area to make it look elegant and ladylike.

But to balance this, I want the aggression off dark, heavy thunder clouds which are navy silhouette and attach to the dress from a one sided shoulder strap on the right flowing down and around the dress to show movement of the dress and how they can change your mood, the reason why I have chosen the silhouette of the navy thunder cloud because of successful experimentation of shaving foam and it left its silhouette to create outline.

The projector work is successful experimentation into how I could project the feeling of clouds onto the garment and I originally thought about screen printing but decided this two dimensional and I wanted a 3D image as obvs the sky is the garment.

Fluffy Clouds Dress designs- 

First designs was basic and simple but it wasn’t enough so i have been added negative navy fabric shaped from tracing paper drawing of shaving foam silhouette to mix it up to look more exaggerate onto the white fluffy cloud dress. 

I have draped other three styles with negative fabric in different places as movements of clouds!

I have chosen the last Barbie garment for the final outcome designs!!!!

I had a good feedback about barbie dolls draping and i personally agreed to it as it’s more exciting and stands out well with the theme as well! 

So, I have draped my outline garment onto photoshop and I did more experiments of garment in different styles. 

This type of style is negative heavy clouds with lots of layers overlapping.

My 6 final outcome designs- I did multiples of expression designs  

First one is Cloudy outline designs is a silhouette of shaving foam when i did with the tracing paper, it shows movements and structures just like cloudy cloud. Materials- any soft fabric with cardboard to hold the garment. 

Second one is Summer cloud designs from my projector of my paintings i have draped and experiment of my painting, the reason why for the long sleeve to show off more of my paintings- Materials would use white bedsheet. 

Third one is Fluffy Cloud designs is i did more draping on the mannequin, i was trying to style for fluffy cloud- quite similar to my other fluffy cloud designs just got rid of the sleeve as it was too over the top and the structure doesn’t go with the draping that i have done but I’ve put orange and pink thread on the dress for Sunset (my favourite part of the day)- Materials would use bedsheet

Forth one is Pink Cloud- So i have picked this designs that i liked the most from my barbie photoshop i have done last week, The colours are from Shaving foam photographs- Materials would be bedsheet for the projector but actual making garment would be much softer fabric to absorb for colour dye. 

Fifth one is Grey Clouds- I did other draping on the mannequin, the clothes were my mum’s old clothes that almost thrown away so i kept it as the colours does match with grey clouds, i combined the mixture of whites and greys in layers to show more of the heaviness. Grey clouds does surprised people when the storm comes by or thunder etc so i did draping with no back to surprise the outcome just like grey cloud. 

lastly, Sixth one is Dull, Stormy Clouds- I have been draping with this fabric on the mannequin, i have cut out the fabric out from the outline of shaving foam silhouette, Why did i match it with the trousers? i kinda like to extended it more with flare trousers to match with the frilly Bandeau top to build more layers to exaggerate and overlapping just like stormy cloud-Materials Navy blue bedsheet.

I did some draping on negative cloud expression, i did different styles on the mannequin but i don’t have enough fabric to make more into a dress or trousers so i only did top section as it was enough to make tops and scarf.

I had an old barbie dolls, i thought about how to style it as it’s smaller size as it might be more easier. 

So, i had thought about doing photoshop of my projector so i have cropped out my projector images onto barbie dolls in photoshop. 

Well my ideas are getting there with the designs but i will do more projector images.

So, i have set up a projector toward my mannequin with white bed sheet, while projecting i have used my paintings and shaving foam images with food colourings to project it and i shaped up the bed sheet to blend in.

So i cut out the silhouette shape from the tracing paper, I drew the model to able to work out the shapes and where it does look together and i have been switching the shapes to see which is better. I was trying to express the feelings from the shapes and how much layers overlapped on the garment.

So I have been using tracing paper to draw the outline of silhouette of dissolve shaving foam, mark it toward the paper and cut it out in a paper.

I have overlapped the tracing paper to try it out for experimentation and it came out really nice and i would love to continue more with it.

I have left shaving foam to dry out in the sun and once it was dried, I didn’t realise it came out nicely with nice silhouette and the abstract of colours is amazing! I think this kind of work is perfect direction for this outcome garment.

I used to create a jar with cotton wool and food colouring to create sky with cloud for my bedroom decoration. 

So i have filled cotton balls into the jar, pour any colour food colouring, i have chosen blue for the sky colour then fill up with water and lastly stir it then you all done! you can put glitter in if you want to! 

Inside the jar, it does look like cloud has trapped inside the jar.

Sketchbook Part 3, 

More designing!

 I did little sketch of glass ball filled with shaving foam and i was designing for lights designs for more ideas. 

Lastly the last picture- i was looking at shaving foam when i used the food colouring and mixing it with shaving foam, left it to keep it dry, later on shaving foam has dissolved and left the food colouring a silhouette and the colour was really stands out so i re creating into a designs of a dress.

Sketchbook Part 2, 

More more experimentation- So far i did Oil paint, first time trying it and it doesn’t really blend in well with the clouds.  I did more acrylic paintings in smaller size, other acrylic painting of transparent cloud i have photoshopped.  

I have tried watercolour, to be fair i’m not that great with watercolour so it was difficult to blend it in. 

More designing, so the three garments is co cord and coats to show what cloud would look like in bold colours and the fluffiness.

Sketchbook Part 1, 

This is when i have started with cloud project, first couple of pages of paintings, the reason why for this i have a passion for acrylic painting and i am good at it so i have been experimenting it to explore more so i did with oil pastels as well to try it out.

I have designed different styles of cloud perspective of garment, Grey hoodie coat is designed for cloudy dull weather to prepare for the rain. 

Secondly Cute fluffy dress is for nice outgoing dress when the weather is nice and cloudy, the shape of the dress is for cloud, pink and orange threads are for my favourite part of the day which is sunset. 

Thirdly, It’s the combination of negative and positive clouds in parts of the outcome garment also lastly the threads are the same reason in cute fluffy dress.

I have found my glass ball in my bedroom; I had thought about taking photograph with glass ball and cloud together.

I had a little experiment; it came out really nice and it looks like globe ball as cloud are trapped in glass ball.

I have only taken couple of photographs as there were not many clouds on that day.

So, I had decided not to continue with it as it’s not really link to it.

I still think it’s really nice, I don’t see this have more potential to continue for my final major project.
