Inktober Day 1: Poisonous. I would have used a different technique on the leaves if I did this one a second time. #inktober #inktober2018 #poisonous
The work and progress isn't in the finished, polished and pretty. It's not packed up in a pretty bow, clean lines perfect proportions. For me, it's like fighting a dirty, smelly, greedy dragon that knows all the riddles that will make you put down the sword/pencil and turn around. I've spent a weird 15 years or so talking myself out of the work for any number of reasons. So my drawcember, to make up for falling short a week in to inktober, is to simply hammer through 1min gesture drawings for at least 15 mins a day. No expectations. No concepts. Minimal exposition. The work. The hard stuff. Slaying the inner dragon. Today, around the 23rd figure, it got a little more comfortable. I'm hoping I can slip in to the zone a bit faster with the practice, and that I break a very old, damaging and unnecessary internal dialogue in the process. I wish I was as simple as "I like drawing and making stuff and want to do it as often as I am able." Maybe it can be.

I would have had drawn the dragon in green if I had a green micron or smoother paper for my markers. Genji quickly went from "this might be hell" to "this dude is super fun to draw," and the danger noodle is just a bonus.
Crazy-long Queues for Coffee (& people & perspective drawing.)
Getting caught up now that I am well rested, 2 today, 2 tomorrow.
Wet floors in public, my leaky brick basement, the food stuck in the sink. Underwater.

Inktober with my personal theme, "What Haunts Me." I swear some of them will be funny.
Understood ? Practice dude.
All the tutorials I reblog here can certainly help but you won’t get better just from looking at them. It takes time and practice to get better !
Practice. I mean seriously.

Hey friends! Meg here for this weeks TUTOR TUESDAY (*cough*on Wednesday*cough*) Today we’re taking a look at some exercises on learning to see objects as forms when drawing them and not just outlines. This is Really Super Important to making accurate, dynamic pieces! If you have any rec’s send ‘em in here or to my personal! Now go forth and I’ll see you next Tuesday!

Your bones are made of the same dust as the planets. This is the first in a short series, finally started because I was feeling off. Wish I knew who to attribute the writing to, but Google is not helping.
