Living With Him is a very cute show and I am enjoying it a lot so far. I saw in the preview for episode 7 that, as usual, one character's lack of clear communication (Ryota in this case) leads to some misunderstanding and hurt feelings. And that's definitely on him for not being able to spit out the words for how he feels.
However... Kazuhito is definitely also suffering some delusions of unrequited love, doing mental gymnastics to avoid the obvious and also not presenting any opportunity for them to have that conversation XD
a) when Ryota wasn't sure you liked him, his way of testing it was to ask you to kiss him
b) when you asked him on a date he was so excited that he shouted his answer in the middle of a library before you finished your sentence
c) when you were on said date he took 5000 couple photos with you and got visibly jealous when some girls from school came to talk to you
and d) when you got caught in the rain on your way home from your staff party, he helped you take off your clothes, bathed you, and when you asked if you could hold his hand because it was warm he said "how about more than my hand"
I think maybe your friend who knows that you have romantic feelings for him is not "just being nice" my guy
Playing Riviera: The Promised Land again and because I am all about fairness & equality, I started thinking - what if the rest of the characters got an extra Lv.3 Over Skill like Fia and Ein have. What items would they be for, etc. So here are my creations.
Lina - Battle Pixies
Instead of having an individual exp bar, the Battle Pixies come with this Over Skill enabled if the Mana Wisp has been found in all chapters.
Shining Etherion: The battle pixies and the 4 other characters stand in a circle around Lina, then they all turn into colored lights and shoot up into the sky, crashing down on the enemies in colorful explosions, two of each element.
Serene - Mrs. Bat
Going an extra step for this one and using an item that doesn't exist :P If you catch all 3 bats and discard them with at least 1 use remaining, Mrs. Bat will swoop down on you on the first screen of Gate To Hell in Mireno Cemetary, giving you a button sequence event to catch her like all the others. Her number of uses will be the combined remaining uses of the other bats, with 5 needed to mster the over skill.
Blood Moon: A cloud of bats including Mrs. Bat (a large one with red eyes) hit all enemies numerous times, absorbing HP.
Cierra - Wet Book
I was going to say Witch's Broom cuz I forgot she already had an Over Skill with that, but the idea of this really suits her personality XD Like Fia's Banishment, this takes 15 uses to learn the skill.
Magic Storm
By trying to read the smudged ink and randomly yelling out syllables from a bunch of different spells, Cierra summons a wild storm of magic that completely destroys the book. Hits with every element, has a chance to cause any status effect, and heals a small amount of HP to all party members.
Whenever apps and websites try to be like "hey, advertisements are an inevitable part of being online in today's world. you might as well let us datamine you so we can specifically target you with things" my reaction is like :/ yes because making this unwanted thing worse is definitely what I want.
It's like your neighbour coming to you and being like "hey. I am going to harass you with perverted comments anyway. you might as well leave your curtains open so I can watch you undress." Like, hmmmmm no. Actually I will not be doing that and in fact I will also be taking action to prevent you from doing that first thing.
Started to write this in the reblog of another post and then realized it actually wasn't that relevent so.
I don't think it's a great mindset for game developers to have where they want to berate potential players or throw them into the deep end and say "sink or swim". That can work sometimes maybe. But just doing it out of spite because you think people nowadays are dumb is not great motivation.
HOWEVER I do kinda think that some game developers should work on reintroducing the idea of just. Trying shit. You don't have to explain every single button combination and puzzle. Just encourage people to do a little trial and error.
And I don't mean that in the same "people are dumb" way either it's just something I have witnessed that kind of confuses me. The first thing I do when I start a new game is press every button to see what it does. But I've watched my nephews play a lot of games and they are practically afraid to press any button the game isn't telling them to press at that moment like they think the tv is going to explode or something.
And it's not just kids. I watched my friend play a game that I played a few times as a kid and completed several times, without internet access or strategy guides and I even got the game second hand and didn't have the manual. And I never found it particularly obtuse because I just poked my nose into every corner and naturally made my way forward.
But my friend just complained CONSTANTLY that the game didn't explicitly explain how to do this or that or the other thing and seeing him getting mad about it was so bizarre to me cuz I was just like. Why would the game explain that.
You enter a room with a sealed door, you look for a way to open the door. You hit a dead end in a dungeon, you look for hidden paths. You encounter a puzzle, you check your surroundings for clues.
Like idk. I definitely don't think people are too dumb to figure stuff out on their own but it seems like they don't want to try or there is a weird aversion to making any kind of mistake or pressing any not-strictly-needed-at-the-time button.
If you want to be guided look up a guide. If that's how you like to play then go ahead. But if you don't want to use a guide and just want the game itself to provide a linear railcart ride from the starting screen to the end credits, maybe you don't need to play it. Just watch a let's play or something :/
My advice for making the best Mortal Kombat movie ever; - Kill Kano in the first ten minutes - Earthrealm warriors adopt Syzoth as their weird dog - Kung Lao lives forever - Scorpion is in more than 2 scenes - Sonya and Kitana speak to each other - Bonus points if Kitana is like "I had a sister but she turned out to be an artificial clone with Tarkatan genes and she tried to kill me" and Sonya is like "that's rough buddy"
“we need to teach media literacy in schools” guys was i really the only person paying attention in english class bffr
Started writing a story a little while ago which was fine. Great. Love turning my ideas into things etc HOWEVER
as they tend to do, things in my brain spiraled way out of control. Now I have these two side characters who are way more interesting than the main characters and I am not sure what to do about it
Every night at eleven I have to choose between enjoying the sweet embrace of slumber or staying up late to do something enriching and fun that I wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to do. And every night at eleven I take the secret third option of “doing nothing on my phone until one in the morning.”
I want them to do to me what they did to Wolverine but instead of adamantium I want them to wrap my bones in duct tape
Why do the people who make music apps and streaming services find it so difficult to grasp the concept that when someone turns on the "shuffle" feature they do not want an algorithm to deliberately pick out a bunch of songs from the same album/artist
'you wouldn't pirate a-' i would steal anything from any company. anything in the world. i dont even want it i just hate you

We have officially reached a viewership level that has never been obtained by another museum before! All of us at the Sacramento History Museum are in disbelief.
We would have never thought that our institution, a small nonprofit museum in Sacramento, California, could reach this many views, but we are incredibly thankful for all of those who take the time to watch our videos and for your support.
In this video, Howard letterpress printed a headline announcing “Sacramento History Museum Reaches One Billion Video Views On YouTube” while using our Washington hand press, which was manufactured in 1852!
the escort missions in pokemon mystery dungeon are so funny like yeah of course we'll protect you and help you reach your friend!! but we're multitasking missions so we're taking you along to confront several aggressive and dangerous outlaws along the way. you have to fight them with us. or just try to stand in a corner or something. sorry.
