John wasn’t to lose this one. He had made his stand.

Her hands are rough and calloused from using a weapon, most likely a gun. She’s so young yet so old. Her eyes tell stories, stories of horror and that fierce gaze. It’s so fiery that if I were to touch it, I’d get burned. She’s intriguing but I fear she leads a dangerous life, one that no one her age should have to. She has those eyes, the same eyes war veterans have when they come home. There is an innocence lacking in her eyes and the way she holds herself, the way she speaks. It’s not like the pseudo adult way most teenagers act, no, she is grown up, too grown up. If I were her parent, I’d be worried about her.”

Now sitting up, Sherlock had a rather strange expression on his face, almost if he were reminiscing about something. “Ever since I tried to feed him wet food, which is much better for cats than kibble, he no longer treats me kindly. He doesn’t purr and brush up against my legs or try to sit in my lap. No, instead he hisses and claws at me. This time the little devil was hiding on top of the cupboards and pounced on me and tried to claw my eyes out. It was horrifying, Molly, like something out of a horror movie.”

Reading all these weeaboo stories on Reddit makes me want to make a crack AU where Sherlock is a weeaboo.

You seem very laid back

You hide your sensitivities behind a façade of indifference. The sort of comments that seem to upset so many of your workmates seem not to provoke you at all. It would be unlikely that even a snide comment would injure you. You are always very self-deprecating. But behind this, often, are old strategies that you use to hide your feelings: you metaphorically block your ears, but even more cleverly, you are always trying to make excuses for others, such as, ‘he didn’t know what he was saying’, or, ‘he is very stressed at the moment’. This is very practical, but it doesn’t make you feel any better. You don’t seem to dare let yourself react. Deep down, you are probably very angry, but you are afraid of confronting others in case you get too aggressive. You don’t give yourself the chance to respond, or to justify yourself — or to assert yourself. Without doubt this is because you have bottled things up for so long without ever putting your side. You therefore react very strongly inside at the smallest remark, but have to hide your real emotions. Try not to fake it any longer. Little by little you should try to find other ways to react, apart from running away: in the face of real attacks, defend yourself. And if someone teases you for being sensitive, why not try to use humour too?

You don’t feel like you’re good enough

Your sensitivity is linked to a feeling that you aren’t perfect and to a lack of self-confidence. You often try to be perfect and to come across as a friendly person. As a result, if anyone criticises you, you take it to be evidence that you need to improve. If someone disagrees with you, or has a gentle dig at you, you get the impression that you are nothing but the sum of your faults, weaknesses and the gaps in your knowledge. You therefore feel hurt. What’s more, you tend to generalise. If someone tells you that something you did wasn’t great, you take it personally. Your self-image and self-confidence depend almost totally on other people’s opinion of you. You have difficulty in remaining grounded and sure of yourself independently of others. You also tend to envy others, who, you assume, are ‘better than you’. Maybe you never really felt valued as a child. A brother, sister or classmate might always been ahead of you, held up as a shining example to everyone else? The reason you are sensitive is because your inner child is trying to find its identity, and is searching desperately in the eyes of others for the unconditional love that it would get from its ideal parent. So, try to find someone who will encourage and value you for who you are, and not for any other reason. You will be less at the whim of people’s compliments and a lot less sensitive to criticism and you will learn how to get things into proportion.
