Demolition of the Heygate Estate.

The Heygate Estate was a large estate in Southwark, London comprising over 1200 homes.  The neo-brutalist architectural aesthetic was one of tall, concrete blocks dwarfing smaller blocks, surrounding central communal gardens. The estate was demolished as part of the Elephant and Castle regeneration which promises the delivery of over 2704 homes- only 82 of which will be social rented.
