Broken History Sculptures // Embroidery Art
[ID: Two photographs of two white porcelain plates, one with blue, big flowers and the other with pink and blue small flowers on them. They have been broken and repaired with golden colored urushi lacquer, in the style of the Japanese kintsugi art. The middle part of both of these plates are missing. Instead, in each of those areas are realistically rendered embroidery hands, one in each. The hand in the blue and white plate is also in blue and white, with the darker parts in blue. Golden veins run on the top part of the hand. The hand in the pink and blue flowered plate is made with blue and orange. Blue is used at the top parts, and the orange is used progressively more as we go towards the tips of the fingers. There are three strands of thread extending from the tips of the fingers on each hand. End ID]
